Why did I choose this school:
It's the best school in town, who wouldn't choose it?
About Xavier University:
The ambiance is of a typical laidback university, hectic but friendly. Professors are mostly approachable and friendly, and most of all inspiring.
The university is undergoing a lot of renovations, most classrooms are not air-conditioned (environment-friendly), campus-wide wi-fi (for students and faculty use only), library should get new books although they say it's the best library in town (I doubt it).
Even though, our university is a bit smaller compared to it's well-known sister school, ADMU, there are enough places to hang around with friends or org-mates (btw, we have a lot of orgs, a plethora of them). There's the STC building for extra and co-curricular orgs' offices, the Peace Park near the Agriculture building and SEC entrance, and the SEC mall where you can buy products of the BA students and the infamous vendo machine.
The Magis complex that houses our cafeteria and bookstore that sells XU merch. The football field also has some benches perfect for those waiting for their classes at nearby Engineering, Medicing, CIT, and Commerce buildings.
For some quiet and downtime alone, you can also spend it at the Campion hall secret garden. I never knew what it was called, but it is where we take a nap while waiting for our English class in our frosh years.
For agriculture students, there's the Manresa Farm located uptown near SM CDO. The place is enough for you to run around like a wild horse kept in it's corral for years, yes it's that wide.
For those who worry about their personal hygiene and bladder, there are enough restrooms in the entire university. Every floor has a designated restroom, odd floor for male and even floor for females.
The surrounding vicinity of the university never lacks of stores that cater to the students needs, mostly though are food joints and cafe's (you know how binge eating is chronic in college right?). And four bookstores (Educational Supply, Goldcrest, Glorrieta, and United Bookstore.
My current job:
I'm a social entrepreneur for now but also doing freelance graphic design and social marketing. If I finish my masters, I plan to become a consultant for top NGO's.
I should say while in college I was already handling our family business. So I am self-employed for a while now. No plans in working in corporate offices as of now.
