The course offers varied areas of specialization that will strengthen and reinforce undergraduate disciplines, or help them to achieve career transition goals.
As a whole, the course is geared towards the: facilitation of teacher’ efforts towards personal professional enhancement for effective teaching by added specialization in specific chosen fields; reinforcement of special abilities and aptitude in the field of guidance and to foster the role on teamwork among administrators, teachers and parents as well as to help counselees achieve self-actualization; development of leadership abilities in the field of educational management, for progressive innovations needed to pervade the total educational context in a truly democratic sense; fostering of abilities for creative research in the broad sphere of education that may facilitate and enrich the teaching-learning processes; motivation of the learners to direct activities and participate in the programs of the government and commit themselves to meaningful roles in the achievement of national goals; equipment of students with the tools for meaningful research aimed at the improvement of the quality of life among the populace; and instilling in them of Christian values that may pervade their lives as professionals.
