About UIC Davao City: UIC is under the management of Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM) Sisters. One of the main objectives of the school is to develop the student into a well-rounded person. Teachers were hired based on standard qualifications. Thus, quality education is guaranteed. Aside from that, students were motivated to enhance their talents and abilities through series of activities, shows and events. Above all, I just did not realize it right away but being prayerful had been implanted into my whole being.
It is a Catholic institution. But there was no discrimination or exclusiveness in terms of religion. Anyone can enroll regardless of faith and beliefs as long as rules and regulations must be followed.
People usually call the female students as PINK Ladies. The skirt color somehow reflects the virtues of Mother Ignacia Del Espiritu Santo who was the founder of RVM congregation.
The Management ensured that the school has the most advanced facilities to aid the learning of students along the way. There were designated laboratories for all subjects that required testing and further studies. Complete equipment and tools were readily available and will be provided during laboratory experiments. Advance technologies were installed in Audio/Visual rooms. I said rooms because there was not only one due to the growth of population. The school has big libraries with so many books and other reading materials. Several numbers of tables and chairs were situated in almost every corner and sides of the room to accommodate students. Yet, they still looked spacious and organized. Gymnasium, auditorium, playground, basketball courts, prayer rooms, clinic, school supplies store and many others…. Name them. They are all available inside the school. Most of all, they have the most advanced computer laboratories that meet the demands and requirements encountered upon.

My current job: I am currently teaching IT subjects in a Technical School.

How long did it take to find a job: Finding a job was easy, honestly. I was immediately accepted as an IT instructor in a reputable school right after graduation. There were also some series of interviews and variety of offers that came along during those times. When I decided to widen my knowledge and improve my technical skills, I resigned from being a teacher and work as System Administrator for several years.

About UIC Davao City: Well, UIC is a great school, they were able to provide us all the things we need for our course.
The professors? Well, I must commend there dedication towards their work, in my four years stay in that University I saw how teachers taught their students, they taught us lessons about nursing and lessons about life as well. They are not only our professors but also they were our second mother, our friend and our confidant.

The facilities in the school were essential in our learning, they have science laboratories that aids the students in their daily experiments for their respective subject, they have computer laboratories that allows students make their researches and typing projects and also a library that is full of books that they update time to time. They have a lot more of facilities but it is too many too mention. The atmosphere in the school is cool! I mean it is suitable for learning plus it has a very religious atmosphere since UIC is a catholic school run by RVM sisters.

My current job: I am currently working as a Secretary cum Nurse Reliever in a Home Nursing Company.

How long did it take to find a job: I waited for a year to get a job.

Why did I choose this school: This school is one of the best performing schools here in Davao city. It is an educational institution run by nuns and offers quality education in marketing and information technology. The cost of education, compared to other good schools, is lower without compromising quality.

About UIC Davao City: This school has a big and spacious campus that is safe, orderly and peaceful. The atmosphere is cool and encouraging for students and teacher alike. Members of the school faculty are very qualified and experienced teachers. At my time, the best spot to hang out was the library since it was quiet and conducive for self-study plus it was also air-conditioned. Other rooms were only ventilated by ceiling or standing fans. When it comes to school equipment and facilities, fairly there are enough to provide for the students.

My current job: My present job is being the marketing officer of Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co. Detailed to Davao City Malls especially in Abreeza mall.
I am the front liner of our company. There is a daily video showing of our company and it's profile in the insurance business. I do the “needs analysis” of a potential client and refer the same to the team leader for more detailed information and presentation of insurance plans appropriate for the client based on his/her insurance needs.

How long did it take to find a job: It did not take long.

Why did I choose this school: This is a school founded, operated, and managed by RVM nuns. There is glamour and quality of education while the cost is not expensive in Davao City.

About UIC Davao City: The teachers are businessmen, lawyers, I.T. Professors and holders of masteral degrees in their respective fields.

The environment is serene, disciplined, peaceful, and casual. The ambiance is that of being a dormitory for exclusive girls and convent of nun with the jovial atmosphere of frolicking and studying youthful students. The entire campus is fenced and the buildings are concrete and stable.

My current job: I am now employed as a product sales person in G.A. Yupangco & Co. Retail store in SM Ecoland Davao City which has a showroom for musical instrument like piano, organs, guitars, drums, sound system and gadgets, etc. I entertain potential buyers and help them make a decision to buy our products.

How long did it take to find a job: After about 6 months from graduation I was hired by this present employer.

Why did I choose this school: The school is one of the best known schools when it comes to medical courses. Most people I know who owns a pharmacy and has a medical degree graduated at University of Immaculate Conception.

About UIC Davao City: Based on my experience University of Immaculate Conception is a school that teaches students how to be pious. Many events about religion were being celebrated when I was still studying at UIC. It is a great school for studying pharmacy and a good school to practice faith in god.

My current job: I don’t have any work as of now, but I currently help my mother run our pharmacy at General Santos City.

How long did it take to find a job: As I answered in question #9 I don’t have any work today, I just assist on operating my mother’s pharmacy.

About UIC Davao City: Most Clinical Instructors have Master's Degree and Ph.D's. They are strict as they understand that we are dealing with life, minimal errors are strongly urged. They are obliged to attend seminars to update them. Yet they are approachable, friendly and very professional.

The atmosphere of the school are perfect for learning. Good ambiance and clean environment is expected.

The facilities are accessible, we have a canteen which serves different varieties of food and has a large space to accommodate students, though not air conditioned, it is well ventilated as it is located beside a football field. The library facilities are well-organized and specific. They make use of E-lib making it easy for us to search books, all we have to do is enter the name of the book or author in an E-lib computer and it will show us where to locate it. It has a wide space and silence is strictly implied.
The school have many kinds of laboratories for specific subjects. It also has a dormitory inside the school whereas food, laundry, cleaning and lodging are already part of the payment.

My current job: I am currently a volunteer in a hospital located in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation I enrolled in a review center in preparation for the board exam. 3 months after the board exam I started working by helping undergraduates with their thesis, case studies, etc.

About UIC Davao City: The professors encourages me not to give up, they are not just a mentor but also a counselor not just to me but to all of us.
The atmosphere was good, clean, spacious and very convenient for learning.
The facilities can also accommodate all the students, esp. In the canteen, comfort rooms and library.

My current job: Staff Nurse

How long did it take to find a job: 5 months. After graduation I reviewed for the Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam.

Why did I choose this school: My parents chose this school.

Why did I choose this school: It has good Information technology education, Low tuition fees and On-the-job training fees. In addition UIC is located just near my boyfriend’s house, so I can easily go and see him after my classes.

About UIC Davao City: We have air-conditioned Laboratories and Audio Visual Rooms. The great thing about the school is it has a chapel. If I wanted to focus and do advance readings I just go to that area near the chapel where it is very peaceful and quiet.

My current job: I work as an IMG assistant (Inventory Management Group) at a private company. I mostly do my job with the aid of computer, I manage databases, sales report, and stocks counting. I just started working at this company but it was easy for me to cope with the team.

How long did it take to find a job: 1 month after graduating I applied to this company, they said that I should wait because there were no vacancies. After waiting for another month they called me for an interview and hired me to work as an IMG Assistant.

Why did I choose this school: 1st - 3rd year I studied at University Of Immaculate Conception (UIC). It's one of the standard schools in Mindanao that offering BS Pharmacy.
4th year I studied at Southwestern University (SWU) - not by choice, it's because of my religion I need to transfer.


About UIC Davao City: UIC - in over all rating it's very nice... it may be strict but nice.
SWU - I didn't like the school.

My current job: Still reviewing for the upcoming board exam.

Why did I choose this school: It is of the same congregation of the RVM sisters who also ran my Catholic high school, Holy Cross Academy.

About UIC Davao City: The school location is very accessible. The atmosphere was quite and conducive to learning. The professors were highly competitive because it was and until now a PAASCU accredited school.


My current job: I am into other trading business and in construction contracting services.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation I married, and raised my children. It took me 8 years to get a job.

About UIC Davao City: My school is a catholic school. So, students are entitled to be disciplined, the facilities were good. It seems they have everything there and the atmosphere is really quiet, peaceful compared to those public schools.

My current job: At this time, I am a customer service representative.

How long did it take to find a job: It took a month and half for me to find a job.

About UIC Davao City: My professors were strict, they want all of us to be a good person. Attitude and character is important. They were approachable and very encouraging to us.
The atmosphere was very conducive for learning, clean and well ventilated.
The facilities was great, we had a high-tech library, spacious field to do recreational activities and canteen that can accommodate us all.

About UIC Davao City: My professors were excellent. I owe to them my knowledge and skills, they taught me a lot about life.
The atmosphere was conducive for learning, the cleanliness were strictly implemented, well ventilated and spacious.
The facilities were enough for us to be trained for the skills that we need. Library had high-tech computers, lots of books and air conditioned. Canteen had enough space for all the students, delicious food and clean area.

My current job: Police Nurse

How long did it take to find a job: 4 months, after graduation I reviewed for board exam the work as a staff nurse. I trained to be a police and now I'm a police nurse.

About UIC Davao City: School is great.
Atmosphere is very friendly and full of happenings.

About UIC Davao City: Our school had a good atmosphere, cleanliness is well observe and well maintain. Our professors most of them teaches well, you can talk to them if you have some clarification, or questions. The facilities are good.

My current job: I'm working right now in Hospital in our province as a staff nurse aide for the mean time, because I'm not a registered nurse yet.
