Why did I choose this school: This was my second choice. After got dropped from my first one, this school was my choice for this was also my mom's alma mater.

About University of Iloilo: The University Of Iloilo has been merged with PHINMA Network which paved the way in reconstruction and remodeling of the school which had provided the students with better equipment, rooms, and facilities.

We had instructors who were so cool, and there were some who were coined as "terrors." But nevertheless, they are all part of college life.

My current job: I am currently a teacher in a public high school.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduated, I took a 3 month review, and after passing the board exam, by March of 2012, I got hired by a public school in our place.

About University of Iloilo: The school is great. The atmosphere is conducive to studying and learning. The facilities are clean and up-to-date. Our professors and clinical instructors know their craft well. The more knowledge and skill they impart, the more confident I become.

My current job: I am currently working at a private dialysis facility in my locality.

How long did it take to find a job: It took almost a year. After graduation, I have to prepare for a couple of months for my licensure exam. Plus, it takes a month or two for my oath-taking as an RN.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because unfortunately I was not admitted in a state university in our place. This was the school which my family can afford the tuition fees.

About University of Iloilo: During my college days, the facility of the school that was provided is not quite good enough for a private school. But nevertheless, it did not compromised the learning that should be taught to the students. We had professors who were very serious and that they want to have everything done on time, and we also had the crazy ones, whom I got along best to.

My current job: I am ow currently a loan officer.

How long did it take to find a job: I graduated in 2012. I was only hired with my current employer last december 2013. It has been a year since I was hired because I stopped looking for a job to rest and search for the best paying company to compensate my efforts.

Why did I choose this school: The queue of students for Engineering wanabees was long in other universities and you needed to take entrance exam for some of them.

About University of Iloilo: Didn't have good ambiance, wasn't condusive for learning (in the Engineering dept it was so noisy due to traffic in nearby roads coming to and fro).

But I am willing to learn, so I adjusted.

The professors were good, to name a few: Engr. Catubac, Engr. Lava, Engr. Mesa, & Engr Candido.

My current job: Senior Cost Control Engineer (Currently in DOHA, QATAR).
My Job is see to it that our actual cost does not Exceed the budget, from manpower & personnel, equipment, materials and overheads. We are in Aid to project management to make critical decisions regarding the project.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation, we reviewed for the Board Exam for 6 months. After passing the board exam on November 2001, I landed a job on March 2002 - that was my first job.

Why did I choose this school: I did not passed the entrance exam of a university which I have always dreamt and ended up with my second choice of school which is the University of Iloilo.

About University of Iloilo: The school did provided me the best of what I need from the learning to the facilities and equipment that had enhanced myself. Also, my success in this career is also attributed to my professors who had taught me patiently so that I can pass the board exam.

My current job: I am currently a Public School teacher in one of the elementary schools in my town.

How long did it take to find a job: I was hired a year after graduation in a private school. I had entered a public school 3 years after that.

Why did I choose this school: I choose this school because the location is nice, and the instructor are teaching very well, and they encourage their students to study hard, so that the principles and goals in their life come true.

About University of Iloilo: The professors and teachers helped me encourage things in life, they say “No gentleman is ever rude by mistake.” This seems to me a profound observation about the need for courtesy and consideration to all people at all times. Unless, of course, you have good reason for anger, in which case go for it. “Aim high, even if you hit a cabbage.” It is about having a goal or a dream and never giving up.

My current job: I am an IELTS/TOEFL reviewer.


How long did it take to find a job: I found a job 3 months after graduation, because I decided to have a break and a short vacation.

About University of Iloilo: Our school is located in the heart of the city itself. It is very accessible. It's now being developed since it has a new name and a new management.

My current job: I do not have a job, recently. I do have a small business. It's actually on clothing line. Not that really big one, though.

How long did it take to find a job: I haven't had any job after I graduated because I volunteered as a Nurse in a Hospital in our town.

Why did I choose this school: It was my father's alma mater. So I decided to go into that school as well.

About University of Iloilo: I had met a lot of professors of different kinds. Although we had several differences, still we managed to get through.

My current job: I am currently a finance assistant from a bank company.

How long did it take to find a job: It had took me about 6 months before I had settled with an amazing and good paying company.

Why did I choose this school: Is near my home and I finished elementary education in the same school

About University of Iloilo: During my time the school though not so beautiful compared to now but my professors were great. I gain my being me from the portals of that school. I was given equal opportunity to show my worth.

My current job: Customer service representative. Handling customers complaints, needs and inquiry about a certain task or product.

How long did it take to find a job: A year

About University of Iloilo: Professors were very supportive, facilities were okay and atmosphere was good.

My current job: Call Center Agent

Why did I choose this school: This was the school of my parents. I guess that was also the reason as to why I had myself enrolled in that school.

About University of Iloilo: Basically, the school has taught me the focus of IT course. This has made me equipped in the said field. The professors had prepared me for the tasks to be done when I will be in an actual situation.

My current job: I am currently a data encoder in a retail store. This is just in our place here in the region. Encoding data is what I am doing.

How long did it take to find a job: It had took me about a year after settling to a good job. I had been hired by previous employers however their pay is not that good. So I had to leave the work and find again for the best.
