Course description:
The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Program equips students with technical proficiency in accounting and information technology that is sufficient enough to prepare them for the multi-cultural environment and globalization of business. The Program is intensive enough to enable students to gain professional knowledge in the following areas of competencies: accounting and finance, organizations and business, and information technology. The General Education component supports the holistic formation of accounting students and contributes to the development of a “liberally educated” professional with a strong and sincere commitment to service. It complements the non-professional knowledge as well as the intellectual, personal, interpersonal, communication, organizational and management skills. The Business Education component provides students the ability to relate accounting to the issues that confront management business and public enterprises. Course description:
The Bachelor of Science in Accounting Technology (BSAcT) Program produces competent professional accountants who are capable of making a positive contribution over their lifetimes to the profession and society in which they work. It provides students the foundation of professional knowledge, professional skills, and professional values, ethics and attitudes that enable them to continue to learn and adapt to change throughout their professional lives. It enables professional accountants to identify problems, know where to find this knowledge and know how to apply it in an ethical manner to achieve appropriate solutions. The Program is a non-board Program for accounting technologists who would supply the needs of Business Process Outsourcing for finance and accounting services. It has the same subject offerings as that of the BSA Program from the first to the third academic years, except board-related subjects such as Auditing, Management Consultancy, certain business law and Integrated Accounting subjects. Instead of these subjects, the Program offers Information Technology subjects. It is an acceptable ladder to the BSA Program, should the student later on decide and qualify for the BSA Program.

Course description:
The Master of Science in Accountancy is a graduate program designed to meet the challenges of the third millennium. It is programmed to train individuals to become leaders in the fields of business and accountancy. From this carefully crafted progression of four intensive semesters of exposing the students to theoretical and empirical studies, they are expected to emerge with skills and concepts that will serve them for life, no matter what career they choose, be it in the academe or industry. Admission Requirements - Foreign Students:
Inquiries for admission to SSC by foreign students may be coursed through mail, phone, fax or e-mail.
For immigration requirements of the Philippines, foreign applicants must inquire from the Philippine Consulate/Embassy of the country of origin. If admitted, the applicant must submit a clear photocopy of the STUDENT VISA/PERMIT and ALIEN CERTIFICATION OF RESIDENCE (ACR).
For those on TEMPORARY VISITOR VISA and would wish to pursue tertiary education in SSC, conversion of their visas from temporary visitor visa to STUDENT VISA should be done. The list of requirements for said conversion may be secured from the Registrar’s Office.
Foreign students are required to pay the application and testing fee of US$20.00 as well as the one-time Foreign Students fee of US$500.00 upon enrollment.
Non-English speaking applicants must also submit the result of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum score of 500 on the paper-based test or 170 on the computer-based test is required. Test must have been taken not more than two (2) years ago.
Applicants accepted on the basis of their TOEFL, or SAT results may be required to take the SSC entrance exam upon their arrival in the Philippines for validation purposes.
Additional Requirements for Foreign Students and Applicants with Dual Citizenship
Submit CLEAR PHOTOCOPY of the following (bring original for verification purposes):1. Passport, particularly the bio-page and stamps of latest departure and arrival in the country.
2. Student Visa or other latest Visa (accepted for study) and I-Card (must still be valid at least two months into the semester of first enrollment).
3. Transcript of Records (authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post from the country of origin).
4. Current Report Card with English translation.
5. Course description of all subjects taken.
6. Certificate from the Department of Education for an applicant to qualify for applied level.
7. Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino if with DUAL CITIZENSHIP.
8. Two (2) SSC Recommendation Forms for College Applicants from Principal or Dean, Class Adviser, Teacher or Guidance Counselor (enclosed in sealed envelopes with signature across the flap) COLLEGE RECOMMENDATION FORM
1. Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree or it's equivalent from an accredited/reputable institution of higher learning preferably with a major in the graduate area for which the applicant is applying. Undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPAs) or Cumulative Quality Point Averages (CQPAs) required by the respective graduate areas must be complied with prior to admission to the graduate program.
2. Applicants who complete their undergraduate degrees from institution other than SSC or applicants without the appropriate degree must have taken or will have to take undergraduate subjects and/or foundation subjects as prescribed in their chosen field or study.
3. Applicants must pass the graduate school battery of tests which covers intelligence, aptitude and personality.
4. Non-English speaking applicant must pass the English Placement Test to enter the graduate program or provide scores of at least 500 on a TOEFL test taken within the previous two (2) years. Students must have their official TOEFL scores sent directly to SSC’s Admissions Office prior to their registration at SSC. In the event that an applicant has not taken the TOEFL test, enrollment in the prescribed English classes is required upon registration for the first and all subsequent terms at SSC, until such time as the proficiency in English has been judged to be sufficient.
