Occupational Therapy is a 5-year allied medical health profession, involved in the rehabilitation and treatment of individuals with disability. Occupational Therapy makes use of strategic and purposeful activities and techniques, designed to provide potential benefits in achieving functional outcome.
Individuals, who may be limited by a physical illness or injury, a dysfunctional condition, a mental illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, or a developmental or learning disability may benefit from Occupational Therapy programs by developing, improving, and restoring their highest possible level of independence.
Job Outlook
Graduates can find work in hospitals, free-standing Rehabilitation Centers or clinics, special education schools, home health institutions and agencies, day care treatment centers, and institutional and community mental health centers.
The international market demand has remained high all over the U.S.A., Canada and Asia. Professional fees are relatively competitive.
