Course description:
he Accountancy Program educates students to become competent professional accountants who are capable of making positive contributions to the society.
Graduates of the program are expected to learn independently and sustain professional competence in the exercise of the profession.
Realizing it's potential as a vehicle for making a positive change, the Program is designed to maximize values formation and the development of professional ethics of students.
Specifically, the program aims to:
1.Produce graduates with a high degree of professional competence and an attitude of self-directed learning, imbued with the Marist ideals, attitudes and values;
2. Provide students with the knowledge, skills and proficiencies to become Certified Public Accountants.
3. Prepare the students for a general accounting career and eventual entry to any of the four major fields of accountancy: public practice, commerce, and industry, government and education.
4. Provide a foundation of professional knowledge, professional skills, and professional values, ethics and attitudes that enable them to continue to learn and adapt to change throughout their professional lives.
