Why did I choose this school:
Because of sir Rodante Ramos, a famous accounting teacher in that university and the President of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants back then. He is a CPA topnotcher and a very good teacher.
About Northwestern University:
Northwestern University is really a happy place. When I transferred in that university, I felt like it's my home. There's a sense of diversity and inclusion. Our building, being built beside the farm areas of Laoag makes the environment cool and free from toxic gases. The fresh cool breeze of nature makes it conducive for learning.
We had the most qualified and the best instructor in the province - a CPA licensure exam topnotcher. Our teachers were considerate and approachable. They always inspire us and encourage us to do better whenever we fail in exams.
Our class rooms were wide and the area is cool. Some rooms are air-conditioned and the university has adequate facilities to cater the needs of their students. I always study in our Library whenever I feel like going, probably at least twice a week. Our Library is fully air-conditioned and has up-to-date materials that we need. Our administration building has a quick response in all our needs because they apply high technology. And then we have benches and cemented tables everywhere. The University is secured, there are guards and they also apply the "No I.D., No Entry" policy.
My current job:
I was an Accounting Assistant at VelcoAsia Co. I handled the accounts of 4 companies at the same time. I was the one who managed their cash in banks, their checks and their invoices.
But I resigned last March 2014 because I have to prepare for the upcoming July 2014 CPA Licensure Exam.
How long did it take to find a job:
About three weeks. Thanks to JobStreet.com :)
