About Misamis University:
There are some subjects that are really hard to learn on your on. I like teachers who can introduce these subjects to you, once you learn the basics you can go on studying on your own. I liked my physics professor and physical chemistry professor at the academy. They always explained everything in simple words and I was good in these studies, although I don't like physics. They used to joke between serious explanations, so everyone could remember the theory better because it was closely associated with jokes. I guess it could be the opinion of every student who knew those professors.
I would like to tell something about my school environment. Students are very friendly and the staffs are very accommodating. The pergola is my favorite place. It is where students can unwind and just chill after class. I used to stay there with my classmates while waiting for the next period. The University Library is the largest library in town. Some outsiders used our library as source of their research. Of course not everybody is allowed to enter the library without yellow card. It served as ID or gate pass to use the library. Every Friday, I used attend mass in our University Chapel. I usually invite my close friends to stay in Alumni Kiosk. It is like a cottage but very cold and silent. Some students get inside the Kiosk to study. I also love to swim every Wednesday morning where the students are free to use the swimming pool. I am very proud that my school is the best school in town.
I participated in many activities like English festival where I joined in a Gods and Goddesses presentation. In addition, I joined some students’ extra curricular activities such as student body organization we call it Board of Directors. I was the one of the Boards of that organization from 2003-2004. That activity really taught me how to manage students effectively and solved any managerial problems. I believe that being a hard working student is my key to become a successful nurse today.
My current job:
I am a nurse for three years now. I worked in SM LAO Hospital. It is a secondary hospital but now they are upgrading to tertiary.
How long did it take to find a job:
Not too long. After my graduation I immediately worked as a volunteer and after I got the result that I passed the exam, I was promoted as a regular staff nurse.
