Why did I choose this school: It's the nearest university to my place that offered Marine Biology.

About MSU Gensan: MSU-General Santos is near to Sarangani Bay that is why there are a lot of areas to explore. Everything is good and challenging, because students are taught to strive hard and the diversity of people who enrol in the University is rich. Professors in the Marine Biology program graduated from reputable institutions. Unfortunately, the college doesn't have diving gears and good laboratory (we have in another college).

My current job: Professionally, I work as a project-based Research Assistant in a Marine Foraging study of Arizona State University, USA in Sarangani Province, Philippines. I identify the marine resources that gleaners collected along the tidal flats and compute the caloric return rate of every gleaner. Since my work is flexitime, I can also give enough time to my advocacy work, which is marine conservation, mainly marine turtles.

How long did it take to find a job: Few weeks only.

About MSU Gensan: The professors are well verse in the subject they teach. Some are bookish but mostly they give all the job to the students to learned and discovered. The atmosphere, physical, climate humid and dry. Inside the classroom all are enjoying mixed up with pressure at anytime you will be called to recite or got 5.0 or 1.0 in exams. That's the excitement. The facilities are old. Some rooms have aircons but mostly "open window" ventilation.

My current job: Project Engineer

How long did it take to find a job: Not quite hard. After graduation I went to Government Agency, Provincial Engineering Office and I get hired at my first visit. They know the school, they know the product.

About MSU Gensan: MSU is known to be a standard school whichever campus it is. The professors possess a common goal, to provide very competent products. Most graduates from this university are able to pass and top board exams.
The school atmosphere is very nice, conducive to learning, away from the hassle and bustle of the city and is equipped with all facilities needed for the execution of the curriculum.

My current job: Currently I am an English teacher in the government school.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me only 2 months to be in for my first teaching job.

About MSU Gensan: The atmosphere was educationally convenient with a positive transition for it's mission and vision for the students from an air-conditioned classroom and fully-equipped facility with computers, modern gadgets and professors who are more than qualified to teach in accordance to the school's curriculum.

My current job: I am currently the Creative Artist in the KCC Mall of Gensan's marketing department who does all the marketing collateral that's needed for promotion purpose but is also a part-time freelancer in Odesk for years now which has improve my creative imagination on designs.

How long did it take to find a job: I had my first job months after my graduation as an in-house graphic designer of an outsourcing company named, Virtuous Business Solutions which lasted for only 3 (three) months because I was given a new opportunity for my endeavor.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it's the nearest school and it's the only school we can afford since I came from a poor family.

About MSU Gensan: MSU taught me so many things in life. This school had prepared me enough to real world. Its like a training ground to me, because the school taught me to become independent and wise, which helped me so well to blend in the real world.
Don't expect to have good facilities in this school. It is where I got UTI, because I never pee the whole day (because of the smelly C.R. LOL).

About MSU Gensan: The professors, atmosphere and facilities are fair enough to learn.

My current job: I am a secondary mathematics teacher abroad, particularly in Thailand.

How long did it take to find a job: After I gradauted the university, I took a job as an instructor in a certain college school.

About MSU Gensan: The professors are good, but some of them are quite lazy in terms of really teaching the lessons to make it understandable for the students. Although its good since its not spoon feeding. all of them are easy to approach anyway.

Our university is a public entity, it really lacks facilities, and the atmosphere? Think of yourself being in a farm!

Why did I choose this school: My parents chose it for me.

About MSU Gensan: I like the diversity of the student population, students who are coming from different parts of Mindanao. I also found that the school is very close to nature.

My professors were quite scary but they made me realize that I should study hard to get the grade I deserve.

My current job: I am working as a Technical Assistant in a gold testing laboratory in UAE. I am in charge of receiving samples from gold bars and doing proper coordination to the processing team. Routinely performing clerical and administrative tasks.

How long did it take to find a job: 3 months.

About MSU Gensan: Some professors are good in teaching, you can easily absorb what they teach, they use some props to help you understand more, there are also professor that you can only go to once a month.
The atmosphere in MSU-Gensan is good, it is far from malls, the student can focus mainly on studying when they are in the campus.
The facilities are not so upgraded, our facilities before are a bit behind from private colleges in Gensan, but we always top the board exams.

Why did I choose this school: The location, quality of education and competency of this school attracted me.

About MSU Gensan: The atmosphere is great very cool.
The professors were friendly and knowledgeable.
And the facilities were one of a kind, all the stuffs were available for learning and teaching.

My current job: I work as freelance researcher.

How long did it take to find a job: It took a year.

Why did I choose this school: Because of the affordable tuition. I got admitted as an academic scholar. According to my friends, among the schools in Gensan, this is perceived to be the one that provide quality education the most (not true).

About MSU Gensan: Well the environment was hell. It is located in a Sahara. When it's hot, it IS scorching hot. When it rains, it pours and so muddy.

The classrooms were not air-conditioned - expected from a public school with a very cheap tuition. Chairs and tables were full of graffiti and scribble. Buildings/classrooms are located far from each other so you'll develop muscles in your legs from your everyday treading in the university.

Cashier and registrar pips - not all - need re-orientation on their roles and about government services.

My professors (except 3 of them) in major subjects should be fired. They're not teaching - not even under Socratic method. They're full of incompetence and has a record absenteeism. They're expecting we know already everything but the reality is - we didn't really get any input from them to stir our brains. The university should have hired the books - not them.

About MSU Gensan: Professors - I hate them, but I totally respect some of them.
Atmosphere - its okay, I really don't care about it.
Facilities - its fine.
