Course description:
It is envisioned to actively and continually turn out graduates who will play an active role in addressing the nations’ vital problems on crime prevention and control and meeting the demands for global competitiveness. Its mission is to provide the community with professionally competent and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in the field of forensic criminalistics, law enforcement, security management, correction and other Criminology allied professions. It aims to:

• offer opportunity by which the students learn the basic knowledge and acquire the skills essential to the practice of Criminology through instruction and guided experience;

• provide the students with a broad cultural background and understanding of constitutional guarantees and due process requirements of law, in so far as they affect the total administration of justice;

• foster high concepts of citizenry, accountability, leadership and understanding of one’s moral and legal responsibility to his fellowmen, his community and his country;

• inspire and instill in the students the value of service to humanity; andencourage research and scientific inquiry along the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
