Scholarships at JCFC Mabalacat

JCFC provides an opportunity for academically outstanding students to pursue their education through it's academic scholarship program. The program is part of the school’s commitment and dedication to academic excellence and outstanding scholastic achievement. Furthermore, JCFC believes that students can strive for academic excellence through process of reward and recognition.

A. Entrance Scholarship

• Valedictorian - Full Scholarship for One Academic Year
• Salutatorian - 100 % discount on basic tuition
• 1st - 5th Honorable Mentions - 75% discount on basic tuition
• 6th - 10th Honorable Mentions - 50% discount on basic tuition

Terms and Conditions

To qualify the student must:

1. Be in good health;

2. Satisfy all the requisites of the chosen course/program;

3. Submit of certification from home school Registrar;

4. Be of good moral character certified by School Principal and/or Guidance Counselor

B. Academic Achievement Scholarship

Students with a general weighted average of at least 90% in academic performance including PE & NSTP for any particular semester of study and who shall have satisfied all the terms and conditions indicated herein shall be given an academic achievement scholarship based on the following:

• 97 - above - 100% scholarship (President’s scholar)
• 95 - 96 - 75% scholarship (Dean’s Lister)
• 93 - 94 - 50% scholarship
• 90 - 92 - 25% scholarship

Terms and Conditions

1. Only for regular students carrying an academic semestral load of at least 21units;

2. The applicant must have no grade lower than 85% in any subject enrolled for the semester;

3. Dropping, failing or incurring incomplete grade (s) in any subject disqualifies the student for the scholarship;

4. Scholarship application to be filed prior to enrolment for next semester.

C. Student Assistantship (SA)

The Student Assistantship Program aims to achieve JCFC’s mission of making education available to all as highly expressed in it's desire to promote social responsibility among the administrators, faculty, non-teaching staff and students. It is designed to provide opportunity to poor but deserving and intellectually capable students to pursue a college education by assigning them as student assistants in the various departments of the college.

JCFC shall grant 100% basic tuition fee (excluding miscellaneous fees) scholarship to student assistants who will render minimum of (4) hours of service daily from Monday to Friday. The applicant must meet the prescribed terms and conditions:

Applicants to the student assistantship must:

1. Be bonafide students of the College.

2. Have a minimum load of 15 academic units per semester.

3. Belong to a family whose annual income does not exceed Php 100,000.00 annually.

4. Have good academic standing (no grade below 80%).

5. Be of good moral conduct and integrity.

6. Be physically fit to work and with positive attitude towards JCFC.

7. Pass the screening tests to be administered by the college.

8. Pass the interview to be administered by the Dean/Head in coordination with the Dean of Office of Student Services and Affairs have parental consent.

9. Have proven skills sufficient to meet the work requirements.

10. Pass the semestral appraisal.

11. Has not been charged and proven of violating any of the school policies.

D. The Performing Arts Scholarship Program

JCFC recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and the giftedness of each person. Students who have special talents in dance and music are qualified to apply for the JCFC Dance Troupe and the JCFC Choir to further hone their skills. Qualified applicants shall enjoy 25% to 75% tuition fee discount. Members of the Performing Arts will also be the school’s ambassadors of goodwill when they perform and compete outside JCFC.

Terms and Conditions

To qualify, the student must:

1. Be at least 12-16 years old high school performers and 16-25 years old for college Performing Arts members.

2. Pass the entrance requisites given by the college.

3. Pass the screening tests given by the Performing Arts Coordinator, Choir Moderator and Dance Troupe Choreographer.

4. Be willing to undergo dance or music training.

5. Be physically, emotionally and psychologically fit to perform.

6. Be of good moral character and has never been subjected to any disciplinary action.
