Why did I choose this school:
Being a Catholic I preferred to study in this school. Also it is the first school named after a Pope. It gives me a sense of loyalty to my religion. The tuition fee is not high and the standard of education is good enough for me.
It is easily accessible by walking or by public transport from my residence nearby.
About John Paul II College of Davao:
The campus has good concrete buildings and facilities. Most of the rooms, especially those for computer technology and the engineering laboratory are air-conditioned. It has it's basketball court and other sports areas.
The teachers are all well-qualified and experienced in their own fields. I remember the teachers as very approachable and motivational in their approach of educating the students; some are also young so it’s pretty easy to get along with them.
The school location itself is so convenient because for three reasons:
One, it will only take you about a hundred steps to reach a commercial building. In there, students can take pleasure, whether alone or in groups, in the delicious food offered by the place including pizzas, cool desserts like ice cream, halo-halo and parfaits, or take a break, and drink coffee in coffee shops where you can also access free wi-fi for your online needs.
Second, from the school, SM City Mall is a short 5-minute ride, which is the same travel time in going to the downtown area.
Third, the school is at standing on a corner street where a lot of jeepney routes are available once you step outside
My current job:
I am now a sales promo assistant in a big store in a mall here in Davao City.
It is my role to market the products to increase the sales of the store for profit-making. This requires me to know the products and devise different interesting ways to promote them to the customers.
How long did it take to find a job:
I got my first job 1 month after I graduated.
