list bulletWhy did I choose this school: This school is famous and had a great reputation when it comes to maritime field. I also chose this because I believed that this school can inculcate, discipline and give me the skills that I need in the field of seafaring in order to succeed.

list bulletAbout JBLCF Bacolod: The ambiance of the school for me was definitely ok. I enjoyed every class and every schoolmates most especially the teachers. The school has it's own swimming pool where swimming skill is a must. We had our own complete facilities like the kitchen, canteen, rooms some are air-conditioned, libraries, training ground, navigational equipment and machines. I could definitely says that the school is really equip with enough and standardize facilities that can hone the skills of every students.

When it comes to the teachers, I am really satisfied. We have professionals and supportive teachers that are really helpful not only in our studies but some also to the things that comes right out of school. Some are teachers that are real professional seafarers who have experienced the actual on-board experiences teaching us exceptional ideas, knowledge and prepares us not only physically but emotionally and psychologically fit. You see having on-board the vessels and seeing only waters for months is really hard, plus being away from your love ones is so lonely and crazy. Thanks to the advises of these great teachers in our school that. I am really satisfied with my school.

list bulletMy current job: Now I am a Relief-Offshore Resident Manager or 'Camp Boss' in Serikandi Oilfield Services, under Brunei Shell Petroleum or Brunei Offshore. Every three months we will go on-board preparing and serving the crews in that vessel. Then after that we went back to our base in Brunei to rest for a week and back again on board the vessel depending on the companies command.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took a few months after my graduation to find a job.

◈ Studied BS in Marine Transportation
◈ At JBLCF Bacolod
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose John.B Lacson because of it's achievements. Its now the rank first for many MSAP passers taken by students all over the Philippines. And also I like the system of their teaching. They let they students discuss the subject they are going to study which is good.

list bulletAbout JBLCF Bacolod: I really thank instructors a lot because my learning are really usable in my training.. They use projectors in teaching so that student can visualize the things discuss in the subject matter. They have there a simulator which is an equipment that student can visualize that they are maneuvering a ship like in actual life.
The libraries are very pleasant that student could study very well, and the librarians are really approachable.. They provide a quotes for the day where as student can pick to make it a guide or an inspiration to start a new day of life. I like that kind of activity.

list bulletMy current job: I am a fresh graduate.
But I am now taking my Cadetship training to get on board the ship in my company, which is a placement that I pass during my school in John.B Lacson.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Before I graduated I have already a company to work for.

◈ Studied BS in Marine Engineering
◈ At JBLCF Bacolod
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose this school for the following reasons:
- Quality education and training which can be affirmed by the results of the national and international assessment e.g. Maritime Schools Assessment Program
- About a hundred company tie ups
- A Det Norske Veritas (a Norwegian Classification Society) certified school
- A number of board passers and successful marine engineers

list bulletAbout JBLCF Bacolod: The school is somehow away from the city center. It has trees which make the school's environment cool and a good place to study. The professors are mostly licensed marine engineers with a certification to teach but English, Mathematics and Sciences subjects, we have teachers who hold Masters and Doctors degree.

It has useful resources in it's conducive library and wifi in selected places. It's multi-million simulators for the engine are updated. But, the rooms are not yet air-conditioned and somehow lacks a few of instructional equipment.

list bulletMy current job: We are tasked for the maintenance and operation of all the engines and ship's equipment. Just imagine working inside a very huge engine of a car.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I was a company-sponsored cadet during my college years. So after graduation, I only needed to pass the board exam and report to the company.

◈ Studied BS in Marine Transportation
◈ At JBLCF Bacolod
◈ Graduated 2011

list bulletAbout JBLCF Bacolod: The School is composed of dedicated, well-experienced maritime instructors and teachers who provide their students more than enough knowledge and values that would nest in their hearts as they graduate and practice their chosen profession. JBLCF-B has a relaxing environment away from the busy city, a pleasant atmosphere for an effective teacher-student relationship.
The Facilities are duly accredited, up-to-date, technologically advanced as possible, and ensured to cater the needs of its students which is why many stakeholders, and foreign shipping companies entrust their scholarship programs with the school.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently a Junior Third Officer.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I applied for Company sponsored scholarship upon entering JBLCF-Bacolod and by God's grace I passed and since then, I already have an employer that provided me a job upon graduation.

◈ Studied BS in Marine Engineering
◈ At JBLCF Bacolod
◈ Graduated 2008

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Because of the reputation that the school has earned in the field of maritime education and they offer scholarship that secures employment after graduation.

list bulletAbout JBLCF Bacolod: The schools location is very conducive for learning, since it is far from the main road and the noise coming from traffic. Some classrooms were hot due to weather and bad ventilation, but most rooms are comfortable for the students.

Most instructors were highly trained to deliver sufficient information for the development of skills and theoretical knowledge of their students. But like other schools there were still the presence of instructors who take their students for granted and act as if they are unprofessionals

list bulletMy current job: I am a marine engineer, specifically a 3rd engineer on-board.
I am in charge of maintenance work for the machinery on board the vessel. And I am part of the team who is in charge of safe and efficient operation of the engine and machinery on board.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Since I was part of the scholarship program, even before graduation I already had my company, and 6 months after graduation, after I completed my documents, I was able to go on board.
