Course description:
The Bachelor of Library and Information Science program aims to prepare students with a thorough understanding of the philosophical and ethical principles of the discipline and the librarianship profession. It provides them with the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies with the right attitude imbued with Christian and Filipino values in the management of libraries, integrating the role and application of modern technology in various library operations and the transfer of information.
Specifically, the program aims to provide and equip students with:
1. A sound foundation in the development of libraries and in the practice of the librarianship profession imbued with moral principles, ethical standards and Christian values;
2. The ability to assess the impact of technological change and to apply and integrate current trends in the practice of the librarianship profession;
3. The capacity to render services essential to the needs of contemporary society through community extension services;
4. The skills and competencies to explore the various range of services offered by libraries, learning centers, and information agencies including the educational, recreational and cultural concerns and the ability to assess the needs of the community and potential users;
5. The expertise to employ current methods in the management of libraries particularly in the organization of information resources, indexing and abstracting, building library collection and in the delivery of efficient and effective library and information services of libraries and information centers;
6. The competencies required to acquire a certification as a licensed librarian.

Board exam performance:
Admission requirements:
1. Shall be accepted regardless of nationality, religious beliefs or political affiliations.
2. Must have graduated from a recognized secondary school.
3. Must have completed valid credentials for registration.
4. Must meet all the prescribed admission requirements of the college.
5. Must qualify for the course applied for enrollment.
6. Must pass the interview.
7. Must pass the Physical or Medical Examination.
8. Must pledge to abide by and comply with all the rules and regulations of the college.
9. Must not have enrolled in any academic college subject/s prior to enrollment as beginning freshmen, otherwise they shall be classified as transferees.
10. Must meet the prescribed admission requirements, such as:
• High School Report Card (Form 138)
• Entrance Test Result
• Certificate of Good Moral Character
• Clear Photocopy of the NSO Authenticated Birth Certificate (attach the original copy for validation). If NSO copy is not clear, student has to bring the Birth Certificated of Live Birth from the Local Civil Registrar
• Two (2) copies of 1.5” x 1.5” colored ID pictures
Tuition Fees:
P 15,000-20,000 per semester
