About De La Salle University: Our professors are high-caliber educators who have years of experience in the academe, public practice, commerce and industry, and government. Some of our professors have their own businesses and firms and some of them are internationally recognized for their theses and dissertations.

DLSU provides an atmosphere that is very conducive for learning. Top-of-the-line facilities are available for students to use. Student organizations are very active and they really seek participation from students. Safety and security is also of utmost importance to the university.

How long did it take to find a job: Even before graduation, a lot of companies were already contacting me for interview. However, I decided to take the board exam first and immediately got an offer a day after the results were released.

Why did I choose this school: The main reason is it's near, everything I need is in this town anyway. I didn't think going far for my education was practical.

About De La Salle University: The atmosphere is just like high school, but I had the option to get out of school whenever I want. However, I did have better opportunities to learn how the real world works.

The professors are mediocre at best. However, the law professors are very passionate in showing us why they do what they do.

The facilities are much better now that what we have then, but it I'd like to thin that we had good facilities. We just didn't appreciate them at the time.

How long did it take to find a job: I never looked for a job right away, was hoping that I could find my luck somewhere else and tried getting into different self-made businesses. But, when I finally decided to get a job I got one almost immediately.

About De La Salle University: I believe the Communication Arts department has the best professors. My professors were Dr. Judy Sibayan, Vince Groyon, Dr. Diaz. Every session by them is contained with wisdom--not just knowledge. They also have a way of teaching where they show and not tell. Meaning instead of them dictating the facts, they always start by engaging you with interesting questions, then through the hour you get to realize their point on your own. I always get epiphanies in their classes. Also, I love that they maintain professional distance, and no favorites. That way, you seem to get encouraged to be your best self in order to get their approval, which with both parties, are beneficial.

The atmosphere is pedagogical. It seems like to me, there's always a feeling of wanting to learn more. Apart from that a lot of times it seems like you're in a pressure cooker because you constantly worry about deadlines, whether your equipment won't suddenly function, you reel deleted, computer freezing, an improper or worse, no citation for research which can be grounds for expulsion.

Facilities are great. They are what you pay for. Only qualm is I wished they would allow students without equipment or editing softwares to stay longer into the night to finish projects.

My current job: Digital Art Director

How long did it take to find a job: Very quickly. Having graduated from the Top 3 schools does give an advantage in employment.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it is one of the top schools in the country. Back in high school I have already looked up to this school for my Bachelor's degree because I thought I will have a bright future being a graduate of this university.

About De La Salle University: All classrooms are fully air-conditioned and have available computer and projector for learning visuals. There is at least one computer laboratory and study hall in every college, which can be used by the students during break time. Also, the university library has a wide collection of materials for students’ reference.

Professors in the university are well verse on the subject they are teaching and most, if not all have an experience working in that industry. Therefore, students will surely learn a lot from them.

My current job: Marketing and Sales associate.
My job is to head and facilitate the credit card promotions for cardholders to continuously use their credit card. This is where I get to use what I learned from school because I get to apply what both marketing and advertising in this field of work.

How long did it take to find a job: Within 2.5 months.

About De La Salle University: Transformative learning is the method used to teach students in my university. Professors provide the list of reading assignments and exercises, and students are expected to be fully prepared prior to coming to classes. Each problem exercise is assigned to an individual student who is required to present the answer to the class. Presentations may be made using facilities such as projectors and laptops. All in all, the classroom environment is quite engaging and challenging.

My current job: I currently work as an IT auditor in a local accounting firm.

How long did it take to find a job: Finding a job did not took so long since accounting firms have eagerly welcomed the new CPA board passers to join their respective companies.

Why did I choose this school: It didn't really take me much time to decide which school to go to. La Salle is a very prestigious university and Engineering is one of it's colleges that was a Center of Excellence. For all the universities I applied to, I chose a different course to take (In UST, I was accepted in Nursing, In UP Manila, I was accepted for Pre-med). Since I wanted to take up Engineering, I went for the University that offered me that path.

About De La Salle University: My college years housed a few of the best years of my life - studying in La Salle contributed a lot to that. It is one of those places at the center of a very busy and crowded area (Taft Avenue) that enclosed a whole other world. The school grounds were not as big as other schools but it definitely ensured that the atmosphere is very conducive to every student's holistic development. In my course, we were taken care of by top professors with very good credentials and facilities that cater to our needs and are up-to-date with the latest technologies. Nowadays, it is very difficult to keep up with technology since it evolves at a very fast rate. La Salle made sure it stayed at the front of the line when it comes to giving the best innovations to it's students and staff. The makings of a good career entail not only academic excellence but the skills to speak, coordinate, and lead. These were all cultivated when I was a student and I think that is one of the strengths of being a Lasallian.

My current job: My current job is an Associate Consultant at SunGard Philippines. SunGard is an international IT company that is based in the US. It has numerous businesses but the largest of all these businesses is focused on Financial Systems -- the business where I am right now. Here, I am part of the Corporate Liquidity team where we provide solutions for Liquidity and Cash management. We cater to corporations who require a system to organize their cash flows and their entire treasury system. As a consultant, I work in Client Services where we support our existing clients who are using our systems, I also work in Professional Services where we implement our system to new clients and build a customized environment for their own specific needs.

How long did it take to find a job: I graduated October of 2010. By the end of November (2010), I took the Electronics Engineer Board Exam and passed it. I took a rest for a few months and got a job at Canon Information Technologies Philippines (my first company) on April of 2011. I rested for about 4 months.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because of advice given by my peers, family and relatives.

About De La Salle University: The atmosphere inside the school is pretty clean. However, the University is located in a very congested city therefore there is a lot of pollution outside and heavy traffic.

The professors are well educated and professional. Most of them understands and listens to their students.

The facilities are above average, classrooms are well lit and clean. The sports center and assembly areas are also clean and in good shape. Cafeterias should sell more diverse range of food though.

My current job: I work as an Advertising Sales Associate for a Health Communications company. I have an 8-hour shift in the office where I am a support to the Sales Team as well as coordinator to clients which mostly are Pharmaceuticals. Moreover, I act as an Executive Assistant to the VP-Sales as well as doing occasional telemarketing.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduated I found a part-time job after a month. Afterwards, I worked for the family business then went to the states for 3 months. When I got back it only took my two weeks before I got in my current job.

Why did I choose this school: It's one of the best universities in the country.

About De La Salle University: The atmosphere is very good. It's full of energy coming from the students, professors and staff. The place is good for learning but the campus is quite small and near the busy Taft Avenue. The professors are knowledgeable in their field and are the best in the country. The school has enough of the latest facilities which the student can use for their studies.

My current job: I'm an RF engineer here at Japan.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me around 4 month because I wanted to take a break and I was looking for a good first job.

About De La Salle University: La Salle is one of the best schools when it comes to curriculum and facilities. During my time, we have our own radio and tv studio where we were able to do workshops. We also have our own darkroom wherein we were able to learn basic b/w photography. Since everything was provided for by the university, the need for internship wasn't deemed necessary. Although it would have been better if we underwent On-the-Job training.

As for the professors, all of them were good in their respective subjects. However, they all have their own eccentricities and quirks. But altogether, it was a fun learning experience.

My current job: I am working as a Production staff for Wil Time Bigtime.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me about a month to find a job and about 5 years to be actually practicing my course. I started working for a Pre-Need company as a trainor which helped me in my people skills for 6 months then I joined the call center bandwagon after and worked for the outsourced US Directory Assistance Company for another 4 and 1/2 years. Then I burned-out and decided to join the TV industry and been working in the same industry up until now.

About De La Salle University: My professors in DLSU were a mix of learned gurus and fresh-minded neophytes. Thus, I get the best of both worlds - the wisdom coming from experienced minds and from those with fresh ideas.

I am blessed because DLSU ensures good education not only by providing the best facilities (library, laboratory, chapel, sports areas, etc.) but is able to maintain a clean, secured and peaceful school vicinity.

My current job: I am currently building a career in the field of research.

How long did it take to find a job: I was employed right after college (it pays to be educated in one of the best schools in the country -- but what's important is I was able to build a very good credential by doing well in school) .

Why did I choose this school: My parents, especially my mom, wanted me to study here.

About De La Salle University: In terms of ambiance, the school was conducive for learning and had adequate resources (e.g. Books, Computer Laboratories) to meet students needs.
I was lucky enough to have professors who are good and effective in terms of their teaching strategies. Also, I think part of the reason why our teachers are good is because we have a grievance system where we can file complaints for ineffective or misbehaving professors.

My current job: Currently, I work as a instructional designer for a computer curriculum provider and as a part-time faculty at a university.
Basically, I create instructional materials (ranging from documents to interactive eLearning materials) and design a curriculum to teach basic education students how to use applications like Google Drive, Adobe Products and other programming languages.

How long did it take to find a job: I took a break for a year after I graduated while also preparing to take my Licensure exam, so I got into my job a year after my graduation through a friend's invitation. My first job is still my current job.

About De La Salle University: De La Salle is a very business-oriented school. From my course alone, it's obvious that the course has geared towards the business side of advertising; the side that deals with clients, finances and business processes (although the creative process is still present in the course).
The professors in my course are well known advertising practitioners and have well served and contributed to the advertising scene.
The facilities of De La Salle all contribute to a better learning experience.

Why did I choose this school: I believed that La Salle is the best University there is. Although the tuition is pretty expensive and not easy to be covered, it is the name that says it all. It pays a lot to be in a place that would provide you the best of the best. And La Salle for me is the key to reach that dream.

About De La Salle University: Amazing University to study in. Learning is fun and enjoyable if the place is comfortable and exciting to stay. Atmosphere is great with all the high class people around me and the amazing ideas we share. Facilities were up to date and well maintained. All classrooms are top quality and conducive to learning.

My current job: I am a Communications Engineer in a broadcasting company.
I manage the facilities there like digital systems, communication equipment and electronic devices.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me 8 months. I studied for the Board Exam First and then passed the Exam after that I was called for an interview and get the Job in the broadcasting company.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this university because it is my dream university ever since I was in high school as I believed DLSU is not only prestigious, but also safe, and being a graduate of this university will allow me to have more opportunities in the corporate world.

About De La Salle University: The ambiance of DLSU is clean and green. Archers practice CLAYGO in the university, thus, you will not see any garbage littering around the campus and/or the corridors. Despite having a lot of smokers in Agno St., there are a bunch of trees around the area which maintains the cleanliness of the air.

As for the professors, this depends if you are lucky or not. There are some who are really kind and generous when it comes to grades. However, there are also those you refer to as terror professors. Frankly speaking, all universities have these 2 types of professors. But in general, Lasallian professors are friendly outside of the classroom. In fact, they treat students as their friends outside the classroom wherein you can eat together, drink together, and discuss anything under the sun. They just need to keep the professional teacher-student relationship inside the classroom.

When it comes to the school facilities, I can attest to it that DLSU's facilities are impeccable. All classrooms are air-conditioned; there is a free Wi-Fi access anywhere in the campus; there are also free computers in the library which students can use if they urgently need one; gazebos and other open areas are also provided for students who would want to rest and socialize. The newly built Henry Sy Hall is the nicest library I have ever seen, wherein students may borrow a room for brainstorming, group presentations, and/or thesis practice.

Should you opt not to stay in school during your free time, there are also places within the vicinity where you can just hangout and relax such as the University Mall, E.G.I. Taft Tower, Sherwood Place, etc. A variety of coffee shops and restaurants can be found in those areas, which is it is really convenient to study in DLSU.

In general, DLSU is impeccable and I can assure you that being a Lasallian is something that you can be proud of all throughout your life. Moreover, the learning experience that you can get in DLSU is one that you will never forget.

My current job: I am a Marketing Manager.
I craft promotions (i.e. Priceoffs, activations, etc.) and approve marketing collateral of the company in order to attract customers.

Being a marketeer is not a bed of roses. What you think of actually working as an advertiser or company marketeer is just the end result of all your hard work. Before you get into those that customers see, you need to get your hands dirty. You have to work on numbers (lots of them) and write several proposal letters, before you get that promotion approved. That is the time when you can ask your artist craft the collateral, which you have to approve. As the marketeer, you have to ensure that ALL the details are correct, and all the elements are attractive to consumers.

About De La Salle University: Classrooms were fully equipped. The school itself has a great ambiance and all rooms were air-conditioned. Professors were very smart. They make sure to bring out the best in every student. There were sufficient areas for group study and rest periods especially with the new building built.

My current job: Brand Marketing Assistant.
My job consists of crafting offers that will be suitable for the consumer’s wants and needs, as well as, monitoring actual sales vs targets and finding ways to sell more volumes.

About De La Salle University: Some of the professors may be strict but at times, this kind of professors are what we need. On a lighter note, these professors are those who also give us a lot of knowledge regarding the fields they specialized in and even in our everyday life.

DLSU-M may be in the center of the Metro but definitely, the campus is clean and green. You might not be feeling that you are in Manila (well, the noise of the car horns and the LRT cannot be eliminated and is tolerable).

The facilities are super nice. DLSU would not be left behind in this aspect.

About De La Salle University: The professors in DLSU are one of the best in the country. Everyone wants to bring out the best in their students. Of course, you cannot escape some who are too lazy to prepare for the day but most of them come in prepared. They are strict, yes, to get the message that they know what they're talking about across but they're never unapproachable after class.

The atmosphere in the main campus is like that of a mall. It's laid back and you can actually relax once you leave your classroom. It offers the best after-school ambiance for those who want to unwind.

The facilities are state-of-the-art. Everything is up to date for the convenience of the people who work and study there. You don't have to ask for anything because it's already provided for.

My current job: Right now, I am a web content writer working online.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me three months to get a job after graduation but that's because I wanted to take a break before I worked. A job offer was available right after graduation, though.

About De La Salle University: DLSU-Manila professors are one of the best mentors in the Philippines. Most of them have PhD degrees in their fields of specialization and they are so reliable. The school environment is so conducive for learning and the facilities are almost complete from library sources to chemical laboratories.

About De La Salle University: It was, admittedly, intimidating at first. I thought I was much like a country bumpkin in a big city. But people were nice and non-judgmental, which made me feel a lot better. The professors were very helpful and approachable.

My current job: I'm a resident physician. I continued to study medicine after my bachelor's degree.

How long did it take to find a job: I found work right after passing the physician board exams, maybe a month or so.

About De La Salle University: DLSU has one of the best campus in the Philippines. It has all of the facilities a university requires and they are all in the best quality. The professors are not like what you hear about, like the ones who does not care if you are sleeping, they are very strict with attendance so because they would't want you to miss out on anything. They also help you with your grades if you needed a little adjustments, if you know what I mean.

About De La Salle University: The atmosphere is not that bad and the place is very clean and the campus is very well maintained, but when it rains it's really bad, the Street gets flooded pretty fast and so it's very hard to cross streets and go home because believe me it reaches to your waist line if it Rains so Heavy.
The professors are good to hang out with and they are smart and very professional inside or outside the classroom.
The facilities are high class and state of the art I can say that the tuition fee we paid for are very well maximized and everything is set to it's standards.

Why did I choose this school: This school is one the best schools in the Philippines. It is located at Manila where we live and it it close to other Universities which makes it cool.

About De La Salle University: The atmosphere was very overwhelming, there are lots of rich kids and foreigners inside the campus and there are very interesting to look at. The professors were very supportive and they help out their students whenever we are in need.

My current job: I am a call center agent at the moment. My job responsibilities are to take phone calls and troubleshoot our clients problems about computers.

How long did it take to find a job: I had a job immediately after graduation. I immediately accepted this kind of job because the pay is quite high so I grabbed it.

About De La Salle University: The environment is loud for most days, due to university wide activities, but there are also some days when you can relax and take a break from all the stress of school work.

Most of the professors are very knowledgeable in their respective fields.

The school has great facilities. Classrooms are air-conditioned and there is a new library with several meeting rooms that students can use for group meetings.

About De La Salle University: It had (1984) a suitable atmosphere for studies and socializing. Discipline in terms of behavior, attire and attendance was applied.
The professors were employed outside of the school in their respective fields so we knew what they were sharing with us came from their own experiences.
