Why did I choose this school:
Even though we're not financially stable, in terms of location and budget wise while providing a good education, we chose De La Salle Dasma. The university, known as the Cavite's Premier University, shows that guaranteed quality education is given.
About DLSU Dasma:
Labelled as the green environment university, the ambiance somehow affects how students study in the university. Just like specific colors in the restaurant attracts appetite, the green color of the environment shows a refreshing and peaceful aura, which lessens the stress in studying.
Most of the professors/instructors doesn't just teach but acts as your second guardian or even a friend. They ensure that you're getting the quality education you have paid for and at the same time act as a guide and mentor. For example, integrating life experiences into the lesson doesn't just let us understand the lesson but also have a learning abut life itself.
Overall in terms of facility, classrooms are air-conditioned, adequate room space and chairs, and usage of computer and other technology providing comfort for students to study while in their specific classrooms. College buildings are built in with facilities catering to the course. For example, our building, has various kitchen facilities and an on-site hotel wherein we just dont study about hotel and restaurants but we also familiarize ourselves like an immersion into these facilities.
These facilities are almost up to date with equipment used in the hospitality industry and well kept with staffs assigned to clean and maintaining them. Living up the cultural heritage comes the Aklatang Emillio Aguinaldo which is modeled from Aguinaldo's residential house in Kawit, Cavite. The library houses collection of books and other references. Computers are placed to easily search a book you need, and if it calls for a group meeting, there are specific rooms you can rent to do a group discussion without bothering everyone in the library. It is well vented with comfortable tables and chair providing ease and relaxation to us students. There is also the Museo De La Salle which showcase the aspect of the Philippine Illustrado lifestyle. And not to forget about the Memorial Chapel of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary which was modeled after the parish church in Maragondon Cavite.
In terms of play place, The Ugnayang La Salle, housing a 3-court stadium where most university events are held. Adjacent to it is an olympic-sized pool. No school wouldn't be complete without having a place to eat. The Food Square, an al-fresco style food court offers various stalls which students can choose, though it get's crowded when it's lunch time. Lastly, a school without a relaxation spot would be hard for us students. The lake park, where students can sit by and feel the breeze to unwind. The small huts or kubos placed along the campus also serves as a place to rest. And the iconic rotunda, which hosts St. John Baptist De La Salle at the center is the perfect place for afternoon relaxation while chatting with friends.
Overall, in major aspects the university provides all the comfort and need of the students in terms balancing study, relaxation and comfort.
My current job:
I don't have a current job at the moment.
It might take a while to find a job after graduation since the competition in our field is tight because there are many individuals who are fighting for a single position.
