About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Benilde has a very laid-back atmosphere. Because of this, we tend to have a reputation of being too relaxed when it comes to our studies. This is a common misconception. I am proud to say that I have met the most interesting people in Benilde than in anywhere else. You get to meet different kinds of people in varied situations. The professors are all experts in their field, bringing first-hand knowledge to the students, and not just textbook lessons. The facilities are improving rapidly as renovations take place all-year round for each of the three campuses.

Why did I choose this school: I'll share a small part of my story as to why I chose DLS-CSB. To begin with, I grew up with the pressure that I or we in fact should be following our parents footsteps in their line of business, doctors, lawyers, etc. The usual.
So when the day came to finally decide on which college that accepted me would I would want to go to, UA&P, UST, DLSU or DLS-CSB.
My profound interest in design and art brought me here as from what I heard, they offer the best equipment, techniques, work ethics, and amenities to meet your educational needs in the design industry. It was a hard decision but I picked CSB so I could follow my passion, a college life I wanted to be part of so badly. So I had a discussion with my parents and told them.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Let's start with the ambience, I mostly spent my entire stay in SDA campus (School of Design and Arts), the people in SDA are very, very diverse and unique, I'm not saying it for the sake of promoting it or anything but I really mean it, individuals are very unique in their own ways, students express themselves by what they wear, what color their hair is, their behavior when it comes to social gatherings, events, everything. You'll know what I mean when you join CSB in SDA. A crowd like no where else.

The people here are the usual, friendly people, some are awkward of course but very talented, and it's definitely safe, feels like you're in a different world and not in Taft when you're in SDA. And of course for the cons, every school has their bad students here and there but in SDA, they are simply ignored. Big Time.

Facilities are catered to educate individuals on the trends in the design market, very handy and worth learning, the school would always take advice from students on possible trends and would a year or two later adapt to help students become the most updated and effective design graduates in Metro Manila.

Professors are diverse, very interesting ones indeed and very experienced. They've been very kind, and most of all open to any questions you may have in mind, let it be school or their work related, they are willing to share that experience with you. And lastly of course there are some bad professors we do encounter due to their performance but in CSB, they can be replaced quite easily with just a complaint from several students then off they go. Any school has some bad teachers and CSB is no different.

My current job: I'm a freelancer, part-time designer for Alpha Quality Express Inc. And a current designer in Meralco, the jobs they give me are very interesting and are worth learning from.

How long did it take to find a job: 1 day - 2 weeks.

I placed 1 day because Meralco wanted me to start working the moment I applied. ;)

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Honestly, my school is one of the most expensive schools in the country. You won't think the money you paid is wasted at all. Benilde has up to date facilities, proffesional and experienced faculty, and international and high class partner institutions where you can take your intership and most of our graduates go abroad.

How long did it take to find a job: I was a working student while studying so, I had the same job after graduation for a couple of months more. I was working in a call center as I needed a night job.

Why did I choose this school: My family recommended it and it was famous for this particular course.

Professors teach based on the syllabus and often share their experience to it's students.

I spent most of my school days in the School of Design and Arts building of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. Once you're inside, you'll need to get used to the color white. It is air-conditioned per room, including some of the hallways. It provides well-maintained equipment such as dslr cameras, studio lights, computers installed with necessary programs, etc. For students to use.

The library is one of my favorite places to visit before and after class. Sometimes I'd still visit even if I don't have class the whole day just to return and borrow new books. The library contains a lot of art reference books, comics and magazines. There are also books for other courses such as Architecture, Fashion, Music etc.

My friends and I mostly hangout at the school cafeteria and student lounge. We could set up our laptops and work there as well. Sitting in the hallways is another option.

My current job: Currently, I am a graphic designer. I design layouts for printing purposes.

How long did it take to find a job: I suppose it was three months. I was referred to the company by one of my colleagues.

Why did I choose this school: I believe that this school can hone me into the best person that I can be. So that I choose this school, and it gives all the necessities a student was looking for.

It is not the school only for rich but also for financially challenged who has the intelligence, talents, and drive to learn and also for deaf and blind students. The school offers excellent facilities that can accommodate the needs of students. When it comes to the professors, they are good because they also practice in industry what they are teaching.

My current job: I'm currently working as an HR practitioner. I'm just handling different types of people; it can be an individual or a group.

How long did it take to find a job: Not that long. It's just a matter of patience and handwork, of course.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because of it's prestige and unique course offerings and also because of the full scholarship it offers. Not just the scholarship, it also provides dorm near to school where I know I will be safe there. It gives all the things we need in order for us to finish our study. It gives all the necessities for us to learn and understand the lessons well. It was recommended by my friends.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: The ambiance is good, the college is very welcoming to all of the students from all walks of life. It gave me a safe feeling. I remember the first time I have entered this school. I was really amazed on the view inside the campus. There is a good relationship among students, faculties, and staffs. Also, I became friend with one of the janitors of our school. I really commend him for his attitude because he is very proud on his job.

The facilities can meet our learning needs. It was a school wherein you can easily cope with their well-built buildings that can accommodate the huge quantity of students. Their upgraded system and the technology used are very modern. The cleanliness of Comfort rooms are maintained though some part of the campus were not that good. There are trashes in some part but I can easily be cleaned.

The professors are very approachable and very appreciative of our differences. They teach us well and let us improve the knowledge and skills we have. They treat us as a friend, they are kind, good, and respectful and having all the attitude and traits an educator should have. However, in contrary, there are terror and inconsiderate professors. I remember one of my professors that are terror. We are very afraid to ask question because it’s like he will endeavor all the students inside the room. He has a high standard and very perfectionist. I really hate him.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Professors in DLS-CSB are among the nicest, kindest and laid-back in the academe, in my opinion. Professors are mostly real industry practitioners as well, so they give you quite a preview of how it is done in the real industry. However, there are a few 'bad apples' that simply don't know how to teach and will just sit there for 3 hours teaching you material got off a web tutorial (DLS-CSB is rumored to offer the highest wages for college professors - do the math).

The MMA course is housed in the School of Design and Arts (SDA) building, towering over the grime, hustle and bustle of Vito Cruz. Generally-speaking, it's the best-looking campus around in terms of aesthetic: it's 12 floors of stark-white, mostly glass and high ceilings with modern fixtures, and lights up like a lantern at night. It is a beautiful building, and I can say a great environment for creativity.

The facilities in this building are also top-notch. Classrooms are brightly lit with big windows, and you are always offered a view of the rest of Manila in every/most classroom you are in. Most (if not all) computers are running on Macs. All the technical equipment you'll ever need in your course may it be video cameras, film cameras, sound equipment- name it, they have it. The library is the best as well, generously packed with the best and most expensive pieces of reference material and all the design and art books you'll ever need. The canteen is quite a sight, and resembles a high-ceilinged view deck with 5 or 6 food stalls. Cinemas and theatres are state of the art. It's really a beautiful place to study in. The environment and most students are also very laid-back, though not in physical appearance - a lot of students here dress like every day is a fashion show, but it's a usual thing and shouldn't get you intimidated.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation, a regular desk job never really attracted me as much, and earning independently through semi-regular projects has deemed to be more rewarding for me in both experience and financial gain. I have been freelancing while pursuing my college degree.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: CSB is one of the best school in-terms of arts courses. Well equipped and well maintained. Have wide range of facilities. But if it is not enough for you, we also have full access to La salle university campus. Fully air conditioned rooms. High end cafeteria. And the school location is a good place with lots of establishments with in the vicinity. The atmosphere might not be much accommodating due to their social status but if you try to understand the people, you'll know that they are friendly.and the faculties are much serious in their job, and high standard of teaching.

How long did it take to find a job: I started working since when I was in my 2nd year. And put my own boutique several years after my graduation.

Why did I choose this school: It was the only school that offered this course during the time of my application.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: - School atmosphere offers the diversity of the kind of students that studies in it. Many would think that DLS-CSB is the go-to school for DLSU Drop outs, even I myself believed it at first but once you get to know the student body, you'll find that many exceeds their name.

- Professors vary from the most terror Ambassador to the most knowledgable educator. Amazing to learn from these people who has dealt with so many people in their line of work.

- School facilities are sufficient enough for the students to be able to enjoy the work-learn-enjoy environment.

How long did it take to find a job: Roughly about 6 months. This was because I decided to take the 6 months off as a break before I step into the real world.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: One of my professor is very best in teaching the method and very smart for the BADST only and Counselor in in the world. In fact, I admired her who can push us to do hard-working, responsible and discipline, not only heart.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: I can say that CSB is one of the best school in asia. Specially now that the department have it's own art building just a few blocks from main building. We even have our own hotel. Do designing a establishment should just be an easy as a snap for us.
Regarding the professors. I might say that they also have a good quality of education and works really professionally.
And the people from the school are the best people to hang out with maybe some people doesn't like people from CSB from being such a brats but what they can do majority of the people really came from a rich family.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Great equipment, some cool professors, I liked the creative ambiance for SDA, very diverse and open surrounding.

My current job: I resigned last Monday to take over the marketing and collateral for our family business, so I can help out and somehow learn to manage it. I'm also a freelance videographer/photographer/ graphic designer. I'm still finding my way but I'm happy at what I do.

How long did it take to find a job: I really wanted to bum out after grad since I've been studying since I was 4 years old. But when I came to my senses and tried to find a decent job, It took me 3 weeks.

Why did I choose this school: One of the best school in the Philippines in terms of business course and it is also convenient on my end as it is near in our place in Manila.

They were professional and strict as soon as they step into the room but once the class is over, they were like friends to us and make some crack jokes too.

About De La Salle Saint Benilde: Well, my professors are the best. They taught me not just about general facts but about real life and how to cope with it. They disciplined me enough and taught me to be strong and to realize that I needed that discipline in the real world and I'm very thankful that I had the pleasure to even meet each and everyone of them.

DLS-CSB has the complete facilities for learning and it's also a great place to study in, that I can guarantee.

My current job: I am an event coordinator for AMI Events. We handle corporate accounts, whatever they need, we do product launches, conventions, photo shoots, etc. (Too far for my course huh?) Expect a wide array of possibilities in the future.
