About Central Mindanao University: The school has a large area having very quite and peaceful surroundings that is very conducive to learning. A wide ground for outdoor activities like sports and recreations.

The professors were known to be excellent in their respective academic fields. Some were terrorizing me at my time. Maybe a challenge and a motivation. But in general, professors were very dedicated to teach with highest standard and quality.

My current job: I'm working now as a Municipal Engineer in our town. And I'm in charge of any inspections, maintenance and any projects in the Engineering department.

How long did it take to find a job: I got a job after 5 months and after a year I manage to got a position in our municipal engineering office.

Why did I choose this school: I came from a poor family and my parents can't afford to send me into schools in big cities, but fortunately that time CMU has only 10 php/unit and one semesters would cost only a thousand in all academic units and miscellaneous. That's a blessings for my dreams.

About Central Mindanao University: This school has a very calm environment. Every Department/Colleges were in separate buildings. It's more like a nature park at the same time. Well, A relaxing nature is best for a learning mind.

The Professors in engineering were imposing higher standards of teachings because this school were one of top schools in the country. Sometimes very strict and frank but I'm glad that I've graduated through their dedication and motivations.

My current job: I'm one of the city engineers now in Bukidnon and my job is to be of service to the cities engineering projects like constructions, repairs and other government projects for the city.

How long did it take to find a job: It took a year because I was taking first civil service and then I applied for my first job.

Why did I choose this school: This is the lowest and most affordable University here in southern Mindanao which offers a quality education.

About Central Mindanao University: The Ambiance - well I loved the school ambiance. Very natural environment with wooded nature area. Varied trees along pathways, and a very peaceful surroundings suitable for learning. Many students under the shaded trees taking time to relax and study as well.

The professors/instructors - during my early years, I thought they were terrorizing students, but as time goes by I found out that they were just very dedicated to their works and to the standards of the school. Putting pressure to students to maximize everyone's potential.

My current job: My previous job was a agriculture technician in one of the pineapple plantations.
My job is in pest control, weed maintenance, fertilizing and disease management and control.It's an office work and a little field visit.
Recently, I got to manage our own farm and poultry farm. Applying all my knowledge, also I have gardens and landscaping business.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me six months to have a job. After three months vacation, I applied and got hired in another three months.

Why did I choose this school: It is my dream school, hearing this school even in my elementary years makes me dream of it as my future school when I reach my college years. I was elementary by that time when I always hear my brother talks about it because he is a college student by that time. When my father wants to go to Valencia City to look for a living I always insist to come with him because we will be passing the University I dream of studying in the future. I was just 10 years old by that time, a grade four pupil who loves to play always but my mind is fixed on finishing a Degree to my dream university. As the years pass more knowledge and new amazing things about my dream university is being spread and it gives me more interests and make me love this university to it's peak. After graduating from highschool my happiness on entering my dream university is like given it's light but certain happenings drag me down to the lowest level of my imagination ever can drop down. About Central Mindanao University: The University atmosphere is purely nature friendly because it is an institution that greatly support a clean and green environment, a school that is a suitable place for new graduates to study because of it's harmonious aura that gives students chance to study on all corner of the university; in the shade of the tree to the solemn and peaceful parts of the grasses. Focusing your eyes to the growing trees and absorbing the power of the nature can give you extraordinary appeal to the world.

The professors totally differ their teaching skills from each other from; the strict, the super strict, the average, the terror, the horror, the never mind the student, the bond with the student, and lastly the teacher like a student. Those professors that I encounter in my four years in study. My favorite instructor the late Mrs. Maria Puresa Sajulga who serve as our very supportive and loving professor that when we learn that she died it makes us totally down like we lost our very beloved one.

The university facilities are still functioning and being used by the students and the staff even if it is beyond it's depreciation years and it's useful years has been totally consumed. Yes, it is a University that mainly helps the poor family to let their children come to school with a low tuition but those tuition given by the students still cannot compensate for the renovation of the building and maintenance of the facilities. The government must give more support to the institution to help them develop the school and give more facilities that the students can use to it's learning.

My current job: For now, I still don't have the job but I'm on the process of submitting applications to banks and companies.

Why did I choose this school: Because it is a school known for it's quality and a school for the poor where I did pass their entrance examination.

About Central Mindanao University: Very close to nature, you can see a lot of green trees and green grasses and a mountain. It has clean and fresh air. The professors/instructors are very knowledgeable in their own respective field of expertise which makes it more challenging to meet up to their expectations. Air conditioned rooms are only for the computer labs. During my time, I guess there were enough computers. We have university library, there's a lot of old books. There are a lot of places where students can rest and socialize. Our school has a small market to cater to some of the needs of the students. Students can sit, relax, or study under the shade of old big trees. Our school has plenty of land.

My current job: Presently I am working at the Municipal Agrarian Reform Office at Don Carlos, Bukidnon as a JO-Clerk. Doing clerical works, preparing bills, filing and records management and typing/encoding data.

How long did it take to find a job: After about six months, I was hired as an Augmentation Support Staff at our Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office at Don Carlos, Bukidnon. The job was only good for three months.

The facilities - enough computers and laboratory tools and equipment. Well ventilated classrooms and laboratory rooms. The school has enough study areas for students, every college has it's study lounge and benches. Also, it has dormitories and boarding houses for students that needs stay-in study

My current job: My current job is a Banquet and Booking Supervisor.
It means that I supervise catering services like holding wedding, debut, thanksgiving party, convention, seminars and and similar services. I am also responsible for booking and reservation duties in our company.

How long did it take to find a job: I was still a student when I started my present job. Our school professor endorsed me to the management of my current company.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because this is the one of the top preforming University in the region. Many students from far places chose to study here for standard and affordability of tuition fees. One of the lowest tuition fees rate in the region. And it has been popular school of producing top graduates and companies are giving priorities in it's graduates.

About Central Mindanao University: The school ambiance is very homely and comfortable. Very suitable for learning and the surroundings are quite and peaceful. One of qualities I don't like is the separate buildings for different departments and you have to walk through if you have classes between departments. But anyway, it provides exercise as well.

My professors and instructors, well some are very strict, and always imposes pressures to study hard. But in general, they were all very dedicated to their field of academic expertise. I remember my professor who drop a student who caught cheating. One of my favorite professors always motivated us everyday, He is like a preacher who always cast his sermons on us. I like some although I hate some of them.. :)

My current job: I work as a drugstore refilling agent assigned in Bukidnon area, under the Unilever Company.
I work as a sales agent, refill products, provide inventories of stocks, upload data for reporting, provide area sales analysis etc...

How long did it take to find a job: I was directly hired after graduation. One of my seniors in this course BSOA was the area supervisor at that time. Lucky enough for me.. :)

About Central Mindanao University: Central Mindanao University is located in Musuan, Maramag Bukidnon. For me it is one of the best agricultural schools in the Philippines. College of Agriculture, College of Forestry and College of Veterinary Medicine were being recognized as Center of Excellence by Commission on Higher Education and BS Biology and BS Mathematics of College of Arts and Sciences as Center of Development. CMU is one of the schools which provide cheap tuition fees and it is really a big help for those less fortunate individuals with intelligence to finish a course and will help them to have good future ahead. I like the atmosphere in CMU because it is surrounded by mountains and trees and it is cold. It is like a little Baguio City in Mindanao. There is no pollution and our means of transportation inside the campus is a motor vehicle for far colleges like forestry and college of nutrition. I can say that the university has good facilities especially when it comes to education. Machine equipment and laboratory instruments were being checked and changed if there were any damages. It has a big university library and college libraries to cater all the research works of the students. University Convention Center was also built as a function hall like victory balls, graduation ceremonies and other big gatherings. CMU has also a dairy farm and everyday they will deliver fresh milk inside teacher's village, college park and campus. Fruits were also marketed at a low price. You can find good dormitories inside the campus and security guards were there 24 hours roving inside the campus.

My current job: I am working as a licensed nurse since I was not able to proceed medicine after my graduation due to financial constraints.

How long did it take to find a job: After my graduation, my father offered me to proceed in studying BS Nursing since we were on financial crisis that time. They cannot afford me to study medicine because it is a very expensive course and it is worth a million to finish that not to include the specialization and internships. Since I am the eldest I gave way and let my other siblings study and grabbed the chance to proceed nursing after I graduated.

Why did I choose this school: My mother decided that I will be sent at CMU because it provide quality education. At that time I don't have any choice since she told me that if I couldn't pass the entrance exam I will not be sent to school.

About Central Mindanao University: Central Mindanao University is indeed an Academic Paradise of the South. Green environment, fresh air and beautiful scenery. Distant from City so it is away from social activities. In terms of our Instructor and Professor, they are really such a great mentors to any student they handled with. Students are really put into situation were they could develop their inner capabilities and brilliant minds. No graduates in CMU who were not brilliant minded not just in subject but also how to face life.

CMU may not be that lucky to have an ideal facilities since it is lack of facilities that couldn't accommodate the growing numbers of student but instructor find it's way. We do have creepy libraries, but the knowledge that it could provide to each student could be general knowledge. If you stroll around the university which you could not just walk since colleges are walking distant you need to have a ride especially when you are running late. Many students will be seen studying under the cottages and under the trees since it is very quiet that only chirping of the birds you could hear. I could say that Central Mindanao University is any students ideal University.

My current job: Teller at a Distributor Company. It involves money. Receiving remittances from agents and disbursing money since I am the Petty Cash Fund teller also.

How long did it take to find a job: I found a job after 3 months.

Why did I choose this school: My Father studied in this school before but he wasn't able to finish so he wants me to study here. Also this is the best school in Mindanao, . I take up and pass CMUCAT and eventually got enrolled.

About Central Mindanao University: This school has a very cool ambiance, calm with very green surroundings. This school really got the natural ambiance.

The Professors were highly qualified and very dedicated for the standards of the school for being consistently on top of board passers.

The Facilities were good, the laboratories have complete equipment, computers are enough and air-conditioned. And the the Libraries got all stocks of books.the main library or those in different college/department libraries.

The place to study is of special mention. You can study everywhere, in the bench under tree shades, in sheds, or in solemn place in a wide ground along trees.

My current job: My past job was as an operation specialist in a Construction Plant. In charge of system audit, operation designs and management.
Currently, I'm processing my papers for going abroad.

How long did it take to find a job: I got an invitation for a job after 4 months and a regular job after a year and a half.

Why did I choose this school: Aside of nearest University in our town but it is known a good University for the engineering in terms of quality of teaching and also it is one of the cheapest tuition fee here in Mindanao.

About Central Mindanao University: It is competitive...

My current job: As of now I'm currently working in an Electric Cooperative at the Bukidnon, it is challenging because my work here is to monitor the distribution line such as pole replacement due to pole collapse, re-conductoring due to wire cut-off, and other work that is related to the distribution line.

How long did it take to find a job: Almost 1 year since after my graduation

Why did I choose this school: It was my parents' decision to study in this University. At first, I really didn't want to study here. My permanent residence was 10 hours away from CMU and I didn't think I can risk that far just to study here, anyway there are a lot of prestigious colleges and universities near my place so I really did not get the point of my parents sending me here.

About Central Mindanao University: The school was amazing. It's location perhaps is in the middle of a province but it's worth it. During my time, I only paid 90 pesos per unit. l just had to pay 3000-4000 in a semester. And when you're lucky enough to become an academic scholar you'll just be paying 300 pesos to zero for your tuition. The ambiance was so peaceful. You're close to nature.
I was lucky to become a part of a singing group, the CMU Music Society. Everyone was so approachable and friendly, so adjusting to the new environment wasn't that hard for me. CMU offers a lot of organizations so your college life will never be boring.
The Professors? Well, some of them are really tough but for a reason. You'll surely get what you deserve.

My current job: I'm currently a Quality Assurance supervisor in a BPO company with specification of monitoring calls from our Philippine branch and as well as our domestic shops in the U.S.
It's not really related to my course but I think it is somehow connected because I am dealing with different kinds of people. I have to know the people's attitudes and behavior first before giving them the real feedback.

How long did it take to find a job: It look me less than a month after I graduated to find a job. But my brother, who's also a CMU alumni, landed a job even before he graduated.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it has a high quality of teaching and learning.

Why did I choose this school: This school is one of the best universities here in Mindanao. I heard that their graduates were not having difficulties in finding jobs, some says if you are applying such job and you are a graduate in CMU, your application has more priority.

About Central Mindanao University: It's not really that friendly I think, well, in my own opinion. I experienced waiting in the bottom of a long line of students enrolling and when I am on the top my sweat really flows down in my eyes because of the strict admin.

When the classes started, the professors, well not all but most were really strict and evil! few were nice. I remember running out of breath to the top on a sloppy ground just to catch up the class but when I got there the professor won't let me in because I was 5 mins Late.

They have complete facilities, spacious area for sports, enough numbers of computers and etc.

My current job: Loan specialist. Teller for loans and etc.

About Central Mindanao University: The profs were really good. they graduated from a very known and exemplary schools. they were very fair with the students and gave extra dose of their time for the learning of the students.

About Central Mindanao University: Well, atmosphere was not that welcoming, really, their staff were not that polite and kind like on the other schools, maybe because the admin thinks that students are flooding in their school so why bother themselves on being nice? right? - don't be bothered but that's what I'm thinking.

The professors - their teaching skills are great, well, some professors... But surely most of them were very strict on project deadlines, examinations, late students during their classes and students participating in class discussions.


My current job: I'm an area supervisor of a big company, but it's not long time since I passed my resignation. I used to manage many employees, the area sales and the kind and number of products delivered on various stores.

How long did it take to find a job: I helped my mother on her small business so it took a year when I found a job.

Why did I choose this school: The school it self is awesome it's like a school built in a park. The campus is so Big! And you can see it even if you are still far away. I liked also the atmosphere here. Its very relaxing and it provides a comfortable mindset.

The professors - mix of good/bad. Well it is uncontrollable we cannot have the ideal type of professors.

The facilities - For me it is the Normal set of University. Not so high tech but no so low tech too. Just the Right type of school for normal activities and programs.
