Admission Requirements - Freshmen:
1. Fourth year high school card (or for Transferees: Transcript of Records, Honorable Dismissal, Certification of Good Moral Character)
2. Birth certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO)
3. Two 2”x 2” colored ID picture
4. Copy of CLSU College Admission Test results
5. Application for enrollment
6. Medical Certificate from CLSU Hospital
7. Lodging Permit
Admission Requirements - Transferees:
1. Must qualify in the CLSU-CAT if at least 36 credit units of college courses have not yet been completed
2. Must have complete and valid credentials
• Copy of birth certificate
• Two 2”x2” colored ID pictures
• Certification of good moral character
• Certificate of honorable dismissal/ transfer credential
• Copy of grades signed by the Registrar or official transcript of records
3. Must qualify in the physical and health examination conducted by the University physician
4. Must present a duly accomplished application form
5. Others, as prescribed by the concerned College
6. Applicants must not have more than 25% failure in all units taken during the last semester
7. Only students who have enrolled in any course leading to a degree program are admitted as transferees.
8. Transferees from SUC institutions shall be admitted and treated as regular students in accordance with the existing policies of the University/College.
9. Official Transcript of Records (OTR) shall be submitted prior to admission for the following semester: otherwise; enrollment will not be permitted.
10. Transferees must pledge to abide by and comply with all the rules and regulations of the University/College.
11. Admission of transferee is subject to availability of slot.
12. Admission of transferee is recommended by the concerned Department/College.
13. Transferees must comply with the provisions on accreditation/validation of courses.
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students:
1. Must qualify in the University/ College Admission Test
2. Must have complete and valid credentials
• Copy of birth certificate
• Two 2”x2: colored ID pictures
• Certificate of completion of a secondary curriculum
• Original transcript of records
• Personal history statement
• Affidavit of support
• Alien certificate of registration (ACR)
• Student visa
• Certificate of Proficiency in English issued by the CLSU Department of English and Humanities for a fee, for students who come from countries where English is not the medium of instruction
• Security clearance from his/her embassy
3. Must pay a non-refundable application fee
4. Must qualify in the physical or health examination conducted by the University physician
5. Must present an approved application for admission
6. Others, as prescribed by the concerned College
7. Applicants must meet all the prescribed requirements by the DFA, the BID and the CHED.
8. A foreign student may be admitted based on availability of slot in the course applied for.
9. He/she must pledge to abide by and comply with all the rules and regulations of the University/College.
This school is included under the "Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education" law that passed in 2017.
The law covers students enrolled in State and Local universities/colleges in Bachelors and Certificate programs.
Under the Law students in accredited State and Local universities/colleges will not pay any tuition fees or misc fee.
The Law covers only first time students (students who don't already have a college degree).
However, the full implementation of this law is not clear yet.
