Why did I choose this school:
CIT was the best college for engineering in the entire Visayas; there were many graduates of this college who topped the Board Exams for the Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. This was a sufficient reason for me to convince my father to support my studies in this school. Luckily he conceded.
About CIT Cebu City:
CIT had a big campus with many buildings and facilities. The area was not congested; students were able to study with the conducive and friendly environment. The engineering students usually discuss a lot after classes and there was a social hall and canteen for this purpose. The teachers were all topnotch engineers, architects, surveyors, and even lawyers. There was a sense of glamour and pride in being in this college. I spend a lot of good times in and out of the campus in college but I would never forget the various experiences and realizations I had while I was in this school. It helped mold me to be more persevering in my aspirations and goals as a person.
My current job:
My job is a Safety Officer of a British-owned company based in Qatar that was contracted to help build the gas and oil refineries by supplying the concrete slabs and towers of the refineries. My job was to make sure that that the concrete parts that we supplied were always of top quality and that all of our men followed the safety tips and precautions during the production and deliveries of these items.
How long did it take to find a job:
After a few months of passing the Board Exam of CE I was hired by a construction contractor in Metro Manila that built roads.
