Admission Requirements - Foreign Students:
1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
2. Must take the National Medical Admission Test (NMAT)
Applicants in the United States can take the NMAT in the Philippine Embassy in New York or Los Angeles, CA. The NMAT is given twice a year (usually in February and October).

• The MCAT cannot be used in lieu of the NMAT
3. Submit an accomplished application form with the following credentials:
A. Copy of the transcript of records (TOR)
B. Diploma or certificate of graduation with the school’s seal
C. Two (2) letters of reference from professors
D. Enclose an application and filing fee of sixty dollars ($60.00)

4. Personal interview:
• Notice for personal interview is issued to an applicant whose credentials submitted with the application form have been found acceptable. This is determined by the CIM Admissions Committee who evaluates all applications for admission to CIM. Interviews are usually scheduled in November, however, earlier date may be set if a need arises.
• The personal interview is a pre-requisite to a final decision for admission. A telephone interview cannot substitute for a personal interview. The face-to-face interview will enable the Committee to assess the attitude and outlook of the applicant. It will likewise provide the applicant an opportunity to view the school and it's environment, meet CIM students and decide whether his expectations are met.
5. Student Visa – This is processed when the applicant is accepted.

C. Payment of P500.00 for application and filing fee. Deadline for accepting applications is May 15th of each year.

For applicants outside Cebu who wish to apply to the Cebu Institute of Medicine, please enclose a manager’s check worth five hundred pesos (P500.00) for the application form or filing fee. You may download the application form from this site.
