Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it is one of the top medical schools in Cebu

About Cebu Doctors' University: Want to express my disappointment in this school's system.
My advise to you if you are taking a course in CDU (esp. Medtech, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy), if you're just average, don't go to CDU. It is a waste of time and money. The school system sucks and they are selective on who passes.

What you didn't know about the system is CDU ONLY CHOOSES SMART PEOPLE. They only pass students who have a rating of 80% above. How about those students who pass but at 78% rating? THEY WILL FAIL YOU! Why? Because they want to make sure that all their students pass in the board exam and they'll have a 100% rating in the national board passers.

This is why CDU only has 60-80 students taking the board exams compared to Velez's 180-220 students. CDU won't risk it. And no one will tell you this. You'll only know this when you reached 3rd years and realize that you've wasted money and time for this school's stupid system.

Why did I choose this school: Because I heard it's the best nursing school in Cebu

About Cebu Doctors' University: The school had a really nice building compared to the other schools in Cebu. There's nothing bad I can comment on. Everything was good. At first during my time, when the school transferred to mandaue the students were so stressed with the travel because the area was not accessible by any PUV but later on the transportation got better.
The educators were really professional and passionate with what they do. In the nursing department, clinical instructors were very uptight on duty. They check everything you do.

My current job: A clinic nurse.
I provide primary care to patients, assist doctors during procedures and escort patients if they need further evaluation to a higher healthcare facility.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduated, I immediately started as a nurse in a diagnostic company in Cebu and then I worked as a company nurse, then in a hospital. I've always planned on working abroad so I worked on my experience and then just this year I got accepted in Qatar as a nurse.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it's teachers are very good in imparting and sharing to their students everything they can in order to help the graduates of this school in passing the Board exam for Nurses. I also liked the location because it is near our residence and accessible by public utility vehicle or jeep.

About Cebu Doctors' University: The school is run by experienced and highly-trained educated physicians and nurses. These faculty members educate and train the students with the values of being caring, respectful, courteous, understanding, and compassionate.

The high tuition fee and cost of studying this course in this school is worth it. Why study in a school that does not give a very good education? The quality of education one gets makes the person in the future better or worse.

My current job: I am now working as a Nurse in Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City. I am assigned to the Emergency and sometimes to the Nurse Station. I do whatever is needed, such as monitoring the medical condition of the patients, making the daily reports, and so forth.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me a year before I was hired in this hospital.

Why did I choose this school: Cebu Doctors' University is a school known for their prestige and the charisma. It only took two rides from my home so the place was convenient for me. My older sister graduated there as well so it was more advantageous for I had most of the books with me already, not to mention all of her notes and experience.

About Cebu Doctors' University: Fresh high school graduates enjoy the school for the prestigious, cool, and clean ambiance it offers that is perfect for studying. You can never run out of places to study, whether you prefer to go at it alone or by group. You can find seating areas at all four corners at every floor. And if that's enough, there's always the library.

CDU has two air conditioned libraries, one for the sole use of Medicine students and the other for the rest of the courses to populate. There is a designated area for internet access, two conference rooms, and plenty of medical books at your disposal. Don't expect a lot of choices for fiction though. It is, after all, a medical school above all else.

Bathrooms are easy to locate. There are plenty of cubicles for you to do your business, which is a huge advantage especially when so many medical students still fail to observe proper bathroom etiquette. There may be vending machines for your feminine necessities and toiletries in certain comfort rooms but they often get stuck, leaving you with no money and your purchased product stuck midway.

Many people joke that the school looks like a giant air conditioner sticking out in barren land. That is why most people are shocked to know that despite the overpriced tuition fees, most classrooms are not air conditioned at all. It's almost like a non-air conditioned high class mall - if it rains in high class malls.

Students and employees alike suffer from whatever weather imaginable. It didn't matter if you were inside. The skies will still continue to rain on your parade. See, the school is designed with a lot of ventilation to allow cool air in. Unfortunately, that plan tends to backfire on stormy days. Watch out for puddles. You might just slip, especially when you're required to don heels in your uniform, as is the case for female Nursing students. But at least it gets better when summer rolls around. We'll still enjoy that nice cool breeze. :D

My current job: I'm currently enrolled as a Medical student in the Cebu Institute of Medicine.

About Cebu Doctors' University: It is really a big campus with complete facility. Transportation is easy and it’s the only campus in Cebu City that is near the SM Mall.

Safety is one of the main advocate of our school because there are so many foreigners studying in the campus.

Take note, All the courses are competitive, almost every year. The school produce topnotchers.

My current job: I love my profession however because of the current economic crisis. I need to add more skills and rake more money. I am currently managing a business and working online.

In the near future. I will be taking certification exam in Canada to be able to work as a radiographer.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me a month to grab a job. There was a hospital in Dipolog City that offers me a decent pay. If you are a graduate of Cebu Doctors' University. Landing a job is not a problem.

Why did I choose this school: I wanted to have a different school and environment other than Tacloban City where I finished my elementary and high school.

About Cebu Doctors' University: The school is the one of best and most modern college of medicine in Metro Cebu. It takes pride in it's own hospital, the Cebu Doctor’s Hospital, for having modern equipments and facilities. The Nursing students are given training in this hospital. The faculty rooms, classrooms, library, laboratory, audio-visual room, and other function rooms are all air-con. I like this because I can read my books, listen to my teachers, and concentrate in my studies in a cool and refreshing environment. Even the canteen is air-con. This makes the eating even more relaxing and satisfactory. This makes studying less burdensome and encouraging.

My current job: Our family owns hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. As a nurse I and my sister are helping in the areas of health, hygiene, and nursing care for the benefit of our personnel and our clients.

How long did it take to find a job: I was already working in the corporation owned by our family. My father, who is the president of the corporation, let me do some follow-ups, or research, or paperwork in my free time.

About Cebu Doctors' University: It has a good ambiance, the professors are cool, and we have an updated facilities.

My current job: Respiratory therapist

How long did it take to find a job: 1 month.

Why did I choose this school: Its near our place and a lot of hot girls too.

About Cebu Doctors' University: Its hot literally, it breaks down a lot, the rooms are noisy cause of the fixing.
the professors some are cool some are weird and some are most probably very strict.
rooms have no AC except for the amphitheater, computers sucks, the facilities well not that bad.

My current job: For now Im still jobless, but soon after I'll pass the board exam I'll work as a nurse

About Cebu Doctors' University: Some of our professors were great teachers; others were just plain boring and stuck by the book, even if there were already advancements in the book. Our classrooms were really hot during the day and if there are storms, it would be really cold inside. We had some new stuff, but most of them were old.

My current job: Online writer

How long did it take to find a job: I looked for a job 6 months after I passed the board exams.

About Cebu Doctors' University: CDU's location is a bit far from the 'civilization' when the new campus opened. We has to wait for the school bus every after class to fetch us. But now, PUJ's were made available. The campus was a bit hot because ventilation isn't really that good.

The clinical instructors we had with our batch were really good.

The facilities are not that good because simple screen projectors are not available during class discussion because most of it are malfunctioning.

My current job: Call Center Agent

How long did it take to find a job: 2 months

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because from the 2 schools my father let me decide where to study, it was the one which was a university.

About Cebu Doctors' University: The location is nice, it is well-ventilated. during my first year, the transportation was so hard, that we should take taxi every time we go out of the dorm especially at night. but as the years went by, they had jeepney routes going to our school. Most of the professors for me are excellent. The facilities were great for training us in our field.

My current job: I am a housewife.
I did not find for a job after graduation.

Why did I choose this school: Because of the pink-blouse, gray-necktie, gray-skirt uniform, for the females, light blue-polo, white-pants, for the males (not the usual all-white uniform). And because it's a well-known medical (esp. Nursing) school in Cebu.

About Cebu Doctors' University: The ambiance is good, very conducive for learning. It's a big campus with complete facilities. The recent addition in the library was the computerized catalog for quick and easy retrieval of information. Clinical teachers / professors were excellent and molded us well to become who we are today, professionals.

My current job: I graduated last 2013 and just recently applied for a job this year 2014.
