Course description:
The DPA provides a broad-based academic program combining conceptual foundations with research and analytical skills. The goal of the program is to develop and improve effective government and non-government organizations through the development of professionals with the ability to create and apply knowledge through teaching, research, consulting, and management.
Program Objectives of the Graduate:
1. Enhance students’ knowledge, competence, leadership, and management capacity as managers and professionals in state government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
2. Expose students in modern theories and models of management and leadership in public administration and nonprofit organizations.
3. Prepare students as research and teaching resources in state government and nonprofit management.
4. Equip students with the intellectual tools and scientific techniques for the practice of leadership in public administration and nonprofit organizations.
