Course description:
This program emphasizes competencies in psychological counseling and guidance services. In particular, it is designed to be consistent with government requirements in terms of knowledge and skills expected of licensed guidance and counseling practitioners. In lieu of a thesis paper, the students after their supervised internship are expected to present to a panel of faculty experts a full scale guidance program and three counseling cases and together the student is guided on clarifying their own counseling philosophy. Upon completion of the degree, the graduate qualifies for the national licensure examination in the field and/or pursues doctorate studies in Clinical Psychology or other related disciplines. OBJECTIVES • Provide a solid higher educational training with emphasis on acquisition of professional technical and personal competencies as instructed by seasoned professors who themselves are deeply engaged in the various fields of psychology. • Develop in the students a culture of research and other scholarly activities by including journal reviews, writing of literature reviews and articles and/or conduct of small scale researches as requirements in all courses. Students are also encouraged to submit works for presentations in conventions or publication in journals along their field of interest. Course description:
The Master in Public Health (MPH) program of the Zamboanga Medical School Foundation, Ateneo Graduate School is an accredited program approved by the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines. In contrast to other MPH programs offered in other Universities of the Philippines, the MPH as offered by the ZMSF, is an applied MPH designed to prepare graduate students to help solve the burgeoning health problems in Region 9, Mindanao and beyond. The ZMSF MPH program nests the traditional MPH topics within critical social, political, economic, and cultural perspectives. It focuses not on disease and it's biological bases but on health and it's social, economic and political determinants. Students are exposed to critical analyses of the process involved in the social production of health. The MPH program combines modular course work and a thesis to produce graduates who understand the dependency of community health status on social, economic, cultural and political process and who are equipped to work with communities towards enhancing their health development status. Some of the modular courses offered, likewise concentrate in the training of health professionals with leadership skills in public health, development and promotion of health, and prevention of diseases. Admission requirements:
1. Admission to the College of Law is open to all qualified students of any age, sex, religion or educational background.
2. The applicant should be a graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree and should have earned eighteen (18) units of English, six (6) units of Mathematics, eighteen (18) units of Social Science and three (3) units of Rizal Course.
3. He or she should pass the Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT). Before taking the exam, the following should be submitted:
• 1 copy of 1x1 colored picture (blue background); • Authenticated copy of Baccalaureate Transcript of Records (TOR).
Percentile rank eligible for an oral interview is 60%.
4. Prior to admission to the College of Law, the following documents should be submitted:
• Accomplished application form (Form 1-A); • Three (3) copies of 1x1 ID photo with blue background; • One (1) authenticated copy of Transcript of Records (TOR); • Two (2) academic endorsement letters; • One (1) personal endorsement letter; • One (1) photocopy of birth certificate (NSO issued); • Original copy of Honorable Dismissal; • Original copy of Certificate of Good Moral Character from last school attended; • Original copy of Certificate of Graduation; • One (1) photocopy of marriage contract (for married women).
