Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because I have met a lot of people who became succesful in their career after going to this school. Even educators who graduated from this school are so impressive and knowledgeable. They have the heart and mind that goes together well. Excellent in thinking and smart in talking. They dont just speak what they believe in but they convert them into actions. They have the heart to sympathize and empathize; the mind to reflect every time. About Ateneo de Davao University: Ambiance? Great. A lot of place for studying. More than enough place to stay for project making, hanging out, reflecting or studying. Teachers are always respectable and knowledgeable. They teach in a way that you realize studying is important and it can be something you can fall in love with. Friends can be everywhere in school since socialization is not a passe in this community. You get to know so many friends by just joining clubs or by just participating in class.

Facilities? We have the best in Davao city. All classrooms are fully air conditioned. Aside from WiFi everywhere, every student also has internet access card in the library which you can utilize the whole semester. Free guidance counselling. Dental clinic. Law bldg just in the other side of the campus. Cool yet Einstein teachers and mentors. 5 floors library and an american library. Chapel with mass everyday. Soon -- 12 floors building with infinity pool and other facilities. Gym? Place for dancing, sports and recreation. Life is here.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The atmosphere is very conducive for learning. It has both just enough pressure to focus on my studies and the relaxing feeling brought about by different activities in the school.

The professors are well-qualified having mostly Masteral or PhD. They are knowledgeable in their field.

The facilities may not be the best compared to schools in Manila, but definitely budgets are allotted to buy equipment and renovate rooms that are definitely worth the yearly increase in tuition and fees.

My current job: I actually proceeded to medicine. I'll be in my second year this school year.

Why did I choose this school: I've been with the said school ever since I was in playschool. I guess one can assume that I've grown accustomed to the ways, teachings, and the people around my Alma matter.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The atmosphere is great, people are highly social beings and always show poise and grace. The professors are very intelligent and creative in their own ways in reaching out and teaching their students. Facilities are good as well, cleanliness is maintained all around.

My current job: I'm a technical support representative. I answer inbound calls from the United States and assist them with their technical issues.

How long did it take to find a job: Not very long actually, it only took me a month to realize that I couldn't just mope around at home remaining unproductive. So in a month's time, I was able to get a job.

Why did I choose this school: ADDU is the best business school not only in Davao city but in the entire Mindanao. I had confidence that it will mold me to become an even better individual with more potential. I also considered the fact that my parents and I were very much satisfied with the kind of education I received while I was in Ateneo High School.

About Ateneo de Davao University: ADDU is a great school. It is equipped with the most advanced technologies that are used in different laboratories. This can also be seen in how the school is expanding with the construction of a 15 storey community center next to the current 7-storey high school building. The school's offices, cafeteria, library, and audio-visual theater are air-conditioned. I specifically found our school chapel very beautiful and peaceful. The Ateneo campus is big with complete facilities such as a gym, and a recreation gazebo, among others.

There is an ambiance of harmonious co-existence among all the students and teachers of any religious affiliation and culture.

My current job: I am now an administrative assistant in Aboitiz Power Co., assisting the administration manager; I am now handling logistics, personnel travels, and other administrative work.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation I was hired in Rizal Commercial Bank in Davao City as a teller.

Why did I choose this school: Excellence. It cannot be contested that ADDU is simply one of the best schools in Mindanao, and in Davao City, it is definitely the most prestigious and the forerunner in terms of quality education, excellence and service. As a private school, it carries a strong reputation for producing top-class graduates who can work in various fields. This is enough reason why my parents and I chose the school since we believe that it’s a very good investment.

About Ateneo de Davao University: About the teachers, well I used to fear them. Our IE professors were very strict when it came to grades and projects. Some of us called them the “terror” teachers who would fail the students even if they knelt and begged. But at least we know they’re fair. No favoritism or special treatments towards anyone; just plainly doing their jobs as educators. They were very good professors nonetheless, and they carried some impressive educational and employment background too that even if we were scared of them we also looked up to them in some way.

My current job: My current job is being a Sales Supervisor in San Miguel Corporation. It is one of the Philippines’ most diversified conglomerates, generating billions of pesos for it's annual net income through it's highly integrated operations in beverages, food, packaging, fuel and oil, power, mining and infrastructure. I've been with the company since 2003. As my position implies, I am responsible for overseeing the sales (including selling and marketing) operations of the company.

How long did it take to find a job: In 2 months after my graduation I had my first job in Franklin Baker, a company in Sta. Cruz Davao as a warehouse man. A warehouse man's duties include receiving, shipping, transporting, and all activities related to handling and managing inventory and supplies and organizing them in the warehouse. I also was in charge of maintaining the inventory of the company's products in good condition while it is kept in stock in the warehouse.

Why did I choose this school: Ateneo de Davao University is the most prestigious university in the Davao region. I took entrance exams for other schools in Davao and nearby provinces but I found Ateneo to be the best among them because: (1) I know a lot of successful people who graduated from Ateneo de Davao; (2) The facilities are modern, state-of-the-art, something that I would call very conducive to learning; and (3) I appreciate the Christian values that it upholds such as Cura Personalis and Excellence. It seemed to me that quality and excellent education comes so effortlessly in this school.

About Ateneo de Davao University: Since Davao City in general is a melting pot of different people from nearby provinces, I would also say the same for Ateneo de Davao. It is a community of people with different dialects and languages, different traditions, different lifestyles -- from all walks of life, really -- although it cannot be denied that one can find many affluent and locally famous people in this university. As an alumni, I'd say I learned a lot about socializing and being more aware of common issues in the society. I also became more vocal and expressive of my thoughts.

The campus is generally safe and secure. There are enough study areas, and areas for activities that even if there are many students, I did not feel the school is crowded. The big library is a happy place to be in especially if you want some quiet and time alone. The big and cozy cafeteria is also a happy place for me because I can study and eat at the same time.

Most of the professors I had in the Accountancy Division are really good, and some are top graduates in their time, with enough accolades and name extensions. They are also passionate and inspiring, but they can be tough and sometimes, ruthless. I cannot say so much for other divisions, but there are some teachers who are smart but do not know how to teach, some are just average teachers, some just got lucky and got hired as a teacher. If you encounter these kind of teachers, then just do not make them an excuse, it's better to do self-study than rely on the teacher.

Most of the people I met are friendly, but I just had to learn to avoid toxic people. As to the classroom setting, it is almost always competitive, depending on the course that you are in. For me, Accountancy is a cutthroat and challenging course, (though compared to Engineering, I'd say it is a notch easier) because of the cut-off grade and GWA that should be maintained, that the Accountancy Division imposes. Also, most of the students in this course are scholars, so one can imagine the atmosphere, but if it is really something that you love or want, then all the difficulties are manageable and in time, triumph is a bliss. So, expect college life as an Accountancy student to be more independent, competitive and challenging, than any other course.

My current job: Currently, I am an auditor in one of the most prestigious organizations in the country.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me eleven months, but I wasn't looking for job for the next seven months after graduation since I had to review and take the CPA Board Examination first.

Why did I choose this school: Ateneo de Davao is the perfect university to be in, in Davao City at least. I’m not overstating it, nor am I being entirely subjective. Aside from the school being popular and most credited, my parents and relatives know very well what a good school is, so without thinking twice, they enrolled me here. I can liken it to a kind of dessert which after the first, and second bite, you just can't enough enough of it since I basically was molded to be an Atenean from grade school to high school. So now, there's no stopping it here in college as well.

About Ateneo de Davao University: Perhaps If I didn’t enroll in Ateneo, I wouldn’t have had a much happier college life than I already did. I’ve grown accustomed to the ways and values of this school that even I already graduated, detaching myself from those values would probably be impossible. Indeed, more than just an alma mater, it has become a place where I’ve spent the most precious memories on my youth.

I remember hanging out in the gazebo during break hours; there I would always feel less “stressed” about homeworks, presentations and school projects. There’s also the school’s chapel - a place where I can sit and reconnect with my inner self. Whenever I was nervous, anxious or felt depressed, I always went to the chapel to cleanse myself of negative thoughts and feelings. Being a Catholic, it helped me a lot to strengthen my spirituality.

The most memorable about my school would be my college professors. During my 1st year, I didn’t know that the math teachers could be so terrifying, ‘coz they gave exams, seatworks and problem sets which were so demanding for my simple brain. Thankfully though, I got past them and got used to the difficulty of the subjects so I became more driven towards LEARNING, and not just studying. If they, the teachers, made it easy for me to get through this course, I would have been like majority of the students who graduated and yet didn’t know where they were headed.

The school instilled in the minds and hearts of every Atenean the principle of “magis” or doing more. Today, it is the single thing which reminds me of what I am capable of doing. I strongly believe in this principle because it pushes me further that’s why I apply it to all aspects of my life, and more so, I’ll be sure to apply it to my work in the near future.

My current job: As a fresh grad, I still am looking for a particular job that will fit me. Though I am not really in a rush because our family might move somewhere far before I even get my first job as an IEs.

Why did I choose this school: I resided in Tacloban City, Leyte with my parents. There is no school in Tacloban that offers Computer Engineering but my parents told me that Ateneo de Davao was offering this course. Since my mother had a brother working in Davao City where this school was located, I consented to study in this school.

About Ateneo de Davao University: When I arrived in Davao City, I was not sure if I could adjust studying and residing in far away place. But when I enrolled in ADDU and went to my classes I began to like the school, it's students, it's teachers, and the mixed culture of Christians and Muslims inside the campus. There was a peaceful coexistence among the students of different regions, dialects, and religions. Some of my classmates were foreigners from Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singapore.

The teachers were gentle and nice. The school held school activities like sports, Christmas festival, the school’s Foundation Day, and special lectures by invited Speakers who internationally excelled in a particular field. This school was not boring. It was always a bright day being inside this school.

My current job: My current job is as Supervisor in a multinational company engaged in shipping and transport based in Manila. My work is to supervise the computerized system of the office, monitor the daily routines in the shipment and deliveries, among many other duties.

How long did it take to find a job: After a few months after graduation I was hired by a Japanese-owned company based in Cebu City promoting and selling computers.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The school's atmosphere is very endearing and self-motivating. Most of the students are very accommodating and friendly. Additionally, the teachers are really personable and considerate in giving us quality education through their expertise and flair in their respective fields. I can really say that the facilities are well-provided and that the administrators really ensure that every single facility is being continuously developed.

My current job: None. I am still complying the requirements for a supervisory position in a certain company for me to be able to work in the first week of April 2013.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me 2 weeks to look for a job. Without any boastful intentions, it didn't take me so much time to find a career because the school conducted a job fair for the soon-to-be-graduates and, of course, for the alumni of the university who are not yet employed.

Why did I choose this school: Even since I was a toddler I was already studying in Ateneo. My parents and I already treated the school as a second "home" that took care of me for years so it was more like a choice about loyalty and trust.

About Ateneo de Davao University: Because of the serious nature of the course I took, I always felt the school’s atmosphere to be too hectic and demanding. But probably it was only because I was taking up Accountancy, a course that didn’t know true “rest” was. I had no time to deal with extra-curricular activities other than studies. That’s why I also saw my school as somewhat a very busy place.

We had well-lit, air-conditioned classrooms including computer laboratories where we spent a large part of our time. Good thing we didn’t have classes in the only school building (Canisius) which still had no air-conditioning or our lives would’ve been worse. For our computer classes, each one of us had a computer. The teachers either used the white board of the projector for instructions. Every student can access the wi-fi through a password wherever they are, though passwords vary from building to building since we have many buildings.

Anywhere can be a place for socializing, and because almost everyone comes by pair, by threes, or groups, it’d be too obvious if you’re by yourself. But nobody would really care if you’re alone or not. Embrace your individuality.

Gazebo:
It’s the spot in school where students’ laptops occupy a bigger space in the table; never mind the books. It’s because the gazebos have electrical outlets in them and the environment is pretty relaxing because of the trees and abundant green surrounding the place. The only thing I dislike about the gazebo are the big ants who come from nowhere and wildly run about inside your uniform. They can bite real hard at times but on special occasions, they just crawl through your arms and legs in a ticklish way.

Library:
It’s the quietest place to rest where you can almost sleep while reading that text-heavy accounting book. There are 4 floors for the school library and each floor has it's own set of long tables with chairs and a sofa set to laze off and chill. But one piece of advice, don’t sit facing, under or near the air-conditioner or you’ll get a cold.

The pond:
I really didn’t know that there was a pond in school until somebody pointed it out to me behind the “mini-forest”. That there was an actual pond in the area was so surprising to me. I used to know this place as the “bahay-kubo” station because there was a sinlge nipa hut in the middle of the two buildings (Dotterweich and Weiman). And because there’s only one hut, it’s a “first-come, first-serve” basis.

My current job: I’m one of the MANY junior accountants at SGV & CO – the “Philippines' largest multidisciplinary professional services firm”; I’m in their Davao branch.
I do what typical accountants do --- handle several business accounts, encode transactions in the computer which will take all day, and strain my brain for analyzing financial data.

How long did it take to find a job: Right after the results of the CPA board exam got out, I got a call from the company. So in a month, I already started working there.

Why did I choose this school: ADDU is the best and most prestigious school in Mindanao and one of the best in the Philippines in the field of business and law. It’s a Filipino Catholic establishment run by the Jesuits with special focus in academic and work excellence; hence, it's standards are so high. The school is famous for those reasons although on the different side, it is also stereotyped to be a school only for the “rich” as tuition fees are really expensive.

About Ateneo de Davao University: In Ateneo de Davao, the whole university campus probably comprises more than 4 hectares. At present, the school continues to expand and buildings are 90% air-conditioned. It has a covered court or school gym – in here you can play basketball for hours or do any extra-curricular activity and if not, you can just choose to sit on the elevated benches inside the court where you can see a better look of the whole campus. The audio-visual rooms are among the favorite places in school since they boast of the latest technologies in audio-visual learning and the seats are comfortable enough that you almost feel like you’re just watching a movie in a cinema, even if it’s an educational video. The auditorium is beautifully and remarkably designed though it’s pretty rare that you use the auditorium since it’s only used during big campus-wide events. There’s the chapel that is perfectly solemn for a quiet reflection and prayer. The canteen boasts of delicious meals and drinks for all tastes. The school clinic is very particular about cleanliness and hygiene and is very convenient for medical needs. The laboratories are fully equipped with instruction and educational materials that help students adapt to the latest advancements in science and technology. Even the library now is modernized and all the other facilities and school offices are air-conditioned and easy-to-locate.

My current job: My current job is an officer-in-charge or manager of a jewelry store specializing in expensive cultured pearls here in a Mall here in Davao City.
I am the person responsible for handing daily operations and sales of the jewelry shop.

How long did it take to find a job: After 6 months, I was hired in this present position/job. It was difficult to be employed because of the competition for just one position.

Why did I choose this school: Ateneo is known for being a great university to practice law. I was planning to study at Ateneo de Manila University but we had a financial crisis that time so my father and I decided that I should apply at Ateneo de Davao University instead.

About Ateneo de Davao University: It was kind of expensive studying at ADDU, but as what most my relatives said “Invest high to earn high in the future”. And as what I experience ADDU was a great university, most facilities where top of the class. Many events and programs were being organized on Businesses management and Entrepreneurship. Many of my professors were very understanding because most of them also graduated at ADDU.

My current job: I am a VIP lounge attendant.
I am responsible for the smooth and efficient accommodation of all Executive Level and VIP guests. I ensure that these guests’ needs are met and exceeded at all times. I were to maintain the “mini-hotel” concept.

How long did it take to find a job: It did take me a while, my first job was 6 months after my graduation. I worked as a call center agent for Sutherland Global Services. There were no accounting job vacancies that time so I had to work as a call center agent temporarily.

About Ateneo de Davao University: I've always thought of Ateneo de Davao as a neat, organized, and hi-tech school. I was not proven wrong. The physical lay-out of the school is easy to familiarize. The energy in the school campus during weekdays, with students and teachers walking through the halls, hurrying to the library, the food court, the gazebo, or to their next class.

My professors were also knowledgeable and reputable enough to teach the subjects assigned to them. I will never forget how our teacher in our writing class would always remind us to write every sentence short and simple. My teacher in Philosophy who seemed to know the answer of our every question amazes me until now.

As for the facilities, Ateneo de Davao is also very updated. In our editing bay, we had the latest Apple Computers which we used in editing our video projects.

My current job: I am Retail Operations Manager of the exclusive sub-distributor of Havaianas in Southeast Mindanao. My job requires me to oversee store operations, and think of strategies on how to grow the business.

How long did it take to find a job: Even before graduating, I already got accepted in my first job.

Why did I choose this school: Its close to home. Its very competitive in a sense that it's one of the top 5 schools in the country. It also offers opportunity advantage when I graduate.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The atmosphere is excellent. It always strives for perfection. The professors are also great. Very accommodating and certainly are good in their craft. The buildings are also very accommodating for learning, all are air-conditioned and built for learning. WiFi is all around the school. Transportation is also easy.

My current job: Professor. Currently taking my doctorate.

How long did it take to find a job: 1 day. I was immediately hired after graduation.

Why did I choose this school: The teaching method in this school is of high quality and standard. The teachers have long years of experience in their fields of expertise. The school is like a brand name. A graduate of this gets the respect and can easily be hired in any company.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The school facilities and classrooms are all air-con. There is no other college of engineering in this city that can rival the campus, buildings, library, laboratory, auditorium, and amenities of this school.

The teachers-engineers in our course not only teach what is in, the books but the experiences they had. The practical ways an, and techniques in construction, in horizontal and vertical structures, are shared to us by our teachers.

My current job: I am now a Contractor in the construction business. I have projects in constructing buildings, repair, and retrofitting. I build the structures on progress billing.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduated and passed the Board exam for civil engineering, I was given the capital by my parents to put up my own business and I started the actual work in a year.

Why did I choose this school: I really wanted to go to this school because it was among the top universities in the country and I heard a lot of people saying it was the best in terms of facilities, academic standards and service. I grew up living a simple life in a simple neighborhood but my parents taught me that quality education, even if it is costly, is very important. So when I graduated from high school, even if this school was far more expensive than others, Ateneo de Davao University was the only place I had to be.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The school is absolutely conducive for learning, not only "by the book" but also learning through life. The way of teaching there is unique and effective in honing the skills of students who all have potential but need the right amount of motivation and inspiration. Thanks to the guiding presence of my teachers, some were "terror" who were almost too loving that it hurt; but most of them were very approachable, understanding and encouraging. I don't think I will ever regret a single penny I've spent for this school because I know that I invested well in a good quality of education. It consistently proves itself to be a prime university by improving the school's facilities, adopting the newest technologies and innovation to teaching, improving academic programs and activities that can increase student participation and interest, and always gearing towards international standards for education.

My current job: None as of the moment, but there are lots of opportunities which I am thinking through.

About Ateneo de Davao University: As part of one of the best schools in Mindanao, the Ateneo de Davao University served to cater in all of my educational needs. Library resources were abound, Wi-Fi service was consistent, and the campus itself served as a conducive place for both study and extra-curricular activities.

My professors were also some of the best I've encountered. They always pushed me to do my best, and never settle for anything mediocre. This thrust for excellence would prove essential in my post-graduate career.

My current job: I currently work for the Ateneo de Davao University as a Social Studies teacher in the High School unit.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation, I decided to take the summer off. So all in all, it took me two months to get to my first job. This was, of course, done with careful selection on my part.

Why did I choose this school: Since I wanted to be a great animator. I decided that I should be good in computers for me to know more about creating animations. Even though it was expensive studying at ADDU, I still convinced my mother to let me study at Ateneo. If I had to go to a computer school it had to be Ateneo for it is the best schools that offer quality education in I.T.

About Ateneo de Davao University: Ateneo as a university was great, it has “techy” facilities and all of the classrooms were air-conditioned. We had 2 canteens both air-conditioned, 1 for each building. And we have the jubilee building which was great for sports and arts classes.
It has everything a student needs. If I wanted silence so I could read my books I just go to the library, if I wanted peace I just go to our chapel, if I wanted to search the internet I just go to the I.T. lab. Everything in ADDU was great from facilities to professors, it was the best.

My current job: Currently I am in Canada and I do credit card processing, payroll, and gift card sales. They have a couple of different items that they sell but credit cards and payrolls are sort of my forte. I am somewhat like a processing staff for credit cards, and gift card sales. What I mostly do is make report on sales and I persuade people why they should invest in credit cards.

How long did it take to find a job: Year 2009 my first job was to work as a crew in a gaming center. It was owned by a close family friend, He was also an IT graduate. He said that I should work as crew there just for working experience so that after I could easily apply for any IT related jobs in the future.

Why did I choose this school: It’s a school that I have come to love. I’ve lived my high school years within the four-walls of this schools’ classrooms and from just that few years of experience, I’ve learned through my adolescent life how education if not to truly to be cherished will put all the endless possibilities of a future to waste. This school is where I started to be aware of who I am, and who I can be. It not only taught me how to study, but also how to serve, to excel, to be my unique self and take action for what I believe in. I also take pride in being a part of this renowned school that exhibits “excellence and service” in education, unfailingly.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The atmosphere:
The first time I walked in the halls of Ateneo, I almost felt lost because a lot of the faces were new to me. But surprisingly, that awkward feeling lasted only for a quick instant. As soon as I entered the classrooms, I felt a welcoming atmosphere from the fellow students. As the days went by, I’ve become more comfortable with how the way things are. You can stay wherever and feel like you’re just an inch away from home because you can do your own stuff without being minded. Just be sure it’s your free time though your teacher will definitely catch you no matter how big the campus is. There’s a place for the “studious” people who seem to study 16hrs a day (if they do sleep), a place for the “no-teacher-no-class-hooray” people, the “I’m-just-waiting” people, and even a place for the “I’m-only-here-for-the-internet” kind. It’s a very colorful campus where you get to meet different kinds of people who, no matter how unique, are actually very friendly and respectful.

The professors:
Our teachers for minor subjects are generally “good”. When I say “good”, they are the typical approachable, calm, considerate type of teachers. Though they try to compete with major subjects too in terms of school papers, presentations and research, not to mention, a lot of memorizing. But what I love the most about the professors are the IE teachers who we become acquainted and get closer with each passing year. They have a certain “charm” that only the IE students can appreciate. They may be frank and strict at times (well, to be honest, MOST of the time), they can also be very comforting and funny as well, especially when you’re on your lowest days. Simply put, these professors are like the “second parents” who love their “children” but are too shy (or full of pride?) to show it. Even so, aren’t they so cute?

The facilities:
Restroom – So clean that it shines! As in literally. Even the boy’s CR is so clean! (No, I haven’t entered one but sometimes the doors are left open so I could see from the outside; just saying) Well, what can you expect? The janitors and janitresses are so hardworking that they never fail to keep the restrooms in tip-top shape every day.

Canteen - Loooooove the cafeteria. Tons of food choices to choose from, and at a very student-friendly price. You’re a fan of milk shakes, milkteas, softdrinks and any kind of beverage? Well, you name it, it’s there. No matter what time of the day, when you’re hungry you can always go to the canteen to grab a bite of your favorite meal or snack (That’s right. ‘Coz it’s open from 7am to 7pm, booyeah!)

Library – Though I’m not the studious type, I can really say that the school library is a haven for reference items like magazines, publications, books (old and new), and don’t even forget about the computer stations, it’s first function is for research, but if you’re waiting for your next class and have nothing “important” to do, it’s also good to use it for watching videos, visiting your favorite websites (and needless to say, only “wholesome” sites are allowed) and just happily using your “free time” for your own entertainment.

My current job: I am still a trainee in the production team of a food manufacturing company, and even though I’ve just been here for a short while, I am quite happy with the new environment and I’m looking forward to the days when I can get better under the company’s guidance (Ohh, I can't wait!). I have high hopes this will open me to bigger “doors” out there.

How long did it take to find a job: Almost a month.

Why did I choose this school: I chose to study in this particular school it has a high end facilities and modern technologies that helps students to inaugurate with foreign investors.

My current job: I am working a Virtual Communication Assistant that acts and leads to gather some productive designs and photography.

How long did it take to find a job: It took only one week after graduation before I was hires.

Why did I choose this school: Trust. I've spent every single one of my student years in the halls of Ateneo de Davao University. I trust the system. I am satisfied the quality of education. I honor the traditions -- not because I'm told to, but because I believe in them.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The atmosphere:
As far as I can remember, the Atenean atmosphere exuded of excellence. Excellence was the measure of success. Excellence, however does not mean beating all the others. It simply means being the best that you can be.

The professors:
The professors are a wide spectrum of variation. The good thing about this is that we are exposed to numerous teaching styles. Plus, we get to meet different characters, which is both interesting and beneficial. The negative side about this is that there tends to be different standards in teaching, and therefore, the grading system.

The facilities:
Being the most expensive university in the city, it should not come as a surprise that the facilities are updated and well-maintained. As a graduate of Nursing, I am fortunate to have been affiliated with a number of hospitals during my student years, especially the Southern Philippines Medical Center, the largest hospital in the region. Although the Ateneo does not have a hospital of it's own, unlike some schools that offer BSN, they more than make up for it by contracting some of the best health care institutions, allowing for better clinical growth.

My current job: Research Assistant at one of the hospitals in the city.

How long did it take to find a job: I had a number of temporary jobs before I landed my current job. I started working for these temporary jobs after passing the National Licensure Examination for Nurses, which was about four months after I graduated. I started working for my current job a year post-graduation.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because it offers a very high standard of education. Those who graduate from this school are preferred by the big business establishment for employment purposes. Having an ADDU diploma is like having a “Nike” brand. Companies have a tendency to hire graduates coming from the Ateneo because of it's reputation as a school where and students are trained in the most competent way. I myself placed trust in this school when I chose this for college believing that the kind of education I will receive in this institution would serve as my key to success.

About Ateneo de Davao University: This is a Jesuit owned and managed university. It has air-con rooms and facilities. The advocacy for environment preservation and protection is very strong in the campus. All the students are given the leeway to join organizations for advocacy purposes. The campus is very spacious and there is enough room for sports activities and school festivities. Our nursing library and laboratory are air-con and very clean and well-maintained. There is a nice feeling of being in a campus that is clean and orderly. There is also a chapel where any one, of whatever religion, can enter and pray.

The teachers were all good and a few were over-acting since they become too demanding and too strict. The atmosphere is peaceful, good for studying, great for building new acquaintances and strong friendship through the school years. This is the place where I met my good friends whom I still get in touch with at present and who are doing well in their respective jobs.

My current job: I am still unemployed as a nurse. I tried to find work as a nurse in a hospital but the pay is so low and the time required is so much that I had to accept offered by my wife which is to stay in the house and help her in her online work. So I ended up on a home-based job.

I am now assisting my wife in her online work of teaching some South Korean professionals learn how to understand and speak English. Sometimes a husband has to accept the real situation that one’s spouse can earn more than himself. Since the online work is done inside our house, I have to cook for my wife and do the housekeeping. We do not have a child yet. My job now is like a “house husband.” But, the income derived by my wife from teaching English online earns a good income.

Why did I choose this school: Best school in Mindanao for business-related courses.

About Ateneo de Davao University: It was quite an intimidating place seeing rich kids roaming the school grounds. But somehow you will just be able to get close to them since they're not really "up there"
Mixture of the best and the worst professors.
During my time, some air-cons were not working and the room became humid. But a few months before I graduated, these problems were slowly responded to. In fact, all classrooms are now air-conditioned and another building is being constructed for student and faculty use.

My current job: Account Assistant at the number 1 local bank in the Philippines.
I work in their leasing department, wherein I assist the officer in preparing proposals to the management and help the client get an approved loan.

How long did it take to find a job: I started working 4 months after graduation.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The faculty always consider doing different techniques in teaching to assure that effective quality education is given. They tend to reach out to those that are performing poorly in their academics and inform them on what they have to work on. Furthermore, they are very approachable and friendly whether they are inside or outside the school campus.

In Ateneo de Davao University, the facilities are excellent. They serve as resources for students wanting to have more knowledge on the subject that they have in mind. The well developed facilities can also serve as stimulants for the students to study harder.

My current job: I have no current job right now. My contract as a trainee ended in the previous government hospital that I worked for.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me a year before I started working because after graduation I had to review and take the Nursing Licensure Examination. After I passed, it did not take me long to find a job.

Why did I choose this school: Best university in Davao city.

About Ateneo de Davao University: Facilities are complete. Many students attend this school because of the different benefits it presents. The professors were highly credible in doing their job teaching students.

My current job: A nurse at Southern Philippines Medical Center

Why did I choose this school: I was informed that the IT course in this school is one of the best. I was informed by a friend. So I took this course in this school.

About Ateneo de Davao University: ADDU has the best facilities for IT and the standard is excellent. The entire campus is very well maintained, with good security, air-con rooms and facilities. It has a casual, easy-to-associate atmosphere, and the students come from the middle and upper middle class of society. The social and economic status of the students add more to the glamour of the school.

My current job: I am the Head cashier in a big store in an Ayala Mall in Davao City.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduated, I first had a one-year vacation, before I looked for work.

Why did I choose this school: Well-known and has good reputation.

My current job: I am currently a Bank Teller and this is my first job. As a Bank Teller, I provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and series e bonds; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.

I would have to say that my current job isn't really related to my degree, but the job opportunities are really broad. You can actually become a Bank Teller regardless of your course as long as you have at least average grades, good pre-employment exam results, and good interview. However, it would be an advantage if your course is business-related (i.e Marketing, Entrep, Finance, and the like)

How long did it take to find a job: I joined the job fair held inside our school. That was February 2017. I took the pre-employment exam in a bank March 2017. I was invited for an initial interview 2 weeks after. I graduated April 1, 2017. I was invited once again for another interview a week after my graduation. 3 days after, I got a call from the HR that I was hired for the position. I was happy of course, but was also torn because I had other pending application with other companies. I just told myself that God is the one who gave me this opportunity so I just took it.

The training was good for 2 weeks.

About Ateneo de Davao University: The professors were the cream of the crop during their college days, the atmosphere was very much conducive for learning and the facilities were the best!

My current job: I am an accountant to a government agency.

How long did it take to find a job: 2 months.

Why did I choose this school: Ateneo de Davao University is the most popular university here in Davao. Ateneo as a school for architecture is quite expensive but it is the best university for it due to it's programs, research based education, top of the class Archi-Lab and A.R.E Architect (Registration Examination scores).

About Ateneo de Davao University: I am really proud that I graduated at this school. Not every student in Davao gets to study at this spectacular school. Honestly it was very expensive to study at ADDU, but it was all worth it. From the fully air-conditioned facilities, high quality tools and equipment, and training programs it was top of the class. At ADDU most instructors were young so it wasn't hard to gain the student - teacher understanding.

My current job: I am currently unemployed since I just passed the Architect Licensure Exam. I just applied this week at Land Bank of Philippines because they were in demand for Civil engineers and Licensed architects. I am still waiting for their decision.

Why did I choose this school: Because since I was in my highschool years I have planned to enroll this university school and It is very popular here in Davao. I want to have better learning this school and until now. I got a better job. My school was a bit of expensive and even my parents still supported me until I succeed to my course.

About Ateneo de Davao University: I can say my school was nice to live, nice to stay, nice to walk around the place. The teachers are well performed in the class. Some of them were a bit strict to the class because I know the school is considered as high standard.

My current job: My current job now is I am the Field Coordinator in Delfi Mrktg.

How long did it take to find a job: I have take it for 2 years. Not too long.
