Scholarships at Asian College of Technology
The Bebot Abellanosa Scholarship Foundation (BASF) is established in honor of a Founder, Education and Public Servant.
Rodrigo Bebot Abellanosa epitomizes the highest degree of excellence and scholarship. He earned his education through scholarships. He graduated valedictorian in elementary, high school and college. Educated in Engineering at University of the Philippines in Diliman, MSCS and MSIT at Ateneo de Manila University, and Management at the Asian Institute of Management, he pioneered in the IT training for hundreds of corporate leaders and in designing CS/IT curricula for universities. He also topped the elections for Cebu City South District Councilors in 2004 and 2007.
Every year, the BASF generously funds ten million pesos worth of scholarship grants, as follows:
CEBU CITY SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
• FOUNDER SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
Every Year, ACT and BASF ward 500 full and partial scholarship grants to deserving high school graduates who qualify in the scholarship exams.
• PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
Every ACT student is awarded outright cash grants as tuition ranging form P500 P2000 per semester.
• PUBLIC SERVANT SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
Outright cash grants of P2000 and P4000 are awarded to children of voters and children of barangay officials/workers of Cebu City South District, respectively.
• STUDY NOW PAY LATER GRANTS
Financially needy but deserving students who pass a special screening process and interview are awarded study now pay later grants.
• SPECIAL TALENT SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS
Athletes, varsity players, choir/band members, dance/drama guild members, etc are also awarded scholarship grants.
