Why did I choose this school: As an Adventist, I was advised to enter AUP. With greener surroundings, quiet and relaxing environment, I fell in love with the school. A Christian school would also develop my relationship with God.

About AUP Silang: AUP is a non sectarian, private, Christian school situated between Tagaytay and Laguna. Cool, clean, and fresh air could be felt inside the campus because of the huge trees. The trees give also shade over the striking light of the sun in the afternoon. It feels you are in a huge farm where lots of different plants and animals, especially birds, are living harmoniously together with the people. I could say that the school is very conducive for studying.

I believe most, if not all, professors in the campus are Adventist. The class always start with a prayer to ask God for guidance and knowledge so everyone would understand the lesson. They are very reasonable with giving grades. They always see the good in you. In the college where I am in, College of Health, the students are small in number. We are able to know our professors well. We would often have potlucks or go out on a retreat with them.

When I was studying, BMLS department was occupying 4 laboratories/classrooms. Now they are sharing classrooms/laboratories with the soon to be opened College of Medicine. The set up of a real hospital/clinical laboratory would be experienced in the department. Reagents, instruments, and some machines are available for applying what students have learned in the classroom. Flat Screen TVs are now available for lectures. Laboratories and rooms are fully air-conditioned.

My current job: Medical Technologist at a primary hospital

How long did it take to find a job: One month. After graduation, I had to go back to the hospital where I had my internship to do extra duties for my missed duties for 2 weeks then I had 2 weeks to apply for a job which I'm in to date.

About AUP Silang: The professors:
My voice teacher was very enthusiastic in teaching and she knows how to encourage her students. They were very approachable. They also know how to motivate their students.

The atmosphere:
The location of the school is far from the city that makes the atmosphere more suitable to study. It has a healthy environment and a very calm surrounding.

The facilities:
During my time their were only few pianos that were working well most of them were out of tune, outdated and dilapidated, there was no audio visual room, most of the books in the music library were not up to date, they're very old.
Even though those were the situations of the facilities in the school where I graduated, if the student is really patient and has the interest those will not be the hindrance to be successful.

My current job: I am a music teacher in Sarasas Witaed Nimitmai school, Bangkok Thailand. I teach choir, keyboard class and insight music class.

How long did it take to find a job: Before my graduation there was a teacher in the school in Las Pinas (School of Jesus Academy) who already talked to me about getting me as their music teacher in the said school. I taught there for 6 months, then I transferred to AUP, I taught there for almost 8 years.

About AUP Silang: The professors:
The university's professors are not just qualified by their education. They are most especially chosen through prayer. They are professors during classes/duties, and they can also be your friends when you needed someone just in time. They are certainly our parents in the university sharing their knowledge in different fields on different circumstances.

The atmosphere:
The university's ambiance is actually just one of the things I liked the most. If you have been in the metro for quite some time, you will surely love this place. Just being away from the chaos of the city, the pollution, the noise, the dirt and the crowd, it's just one thing. The campus is surrounded with green fields. Walking from the gate through the dormitories, you can smell fresh air and feel the cold wind especially on colder months. If we have parents (professors) inside the university, then definitely, this place is 'a home away from home'.

The facilities:
During my stay in the university, I think, this is one little flaw that we had, but, as a nurse, you have to be resourceful, creative and during hospital exposures, you've got to try everything for your learning. Nonetheless, I'm proud to say that my university has been granted an Autonomous Status by CHED and my college along with others, is accredited Level 111 by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities Accrediting Agency, Inc (ACSCU-AAI) .

My current job: I am currently employed as a school nurse.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me at least a year after graduation because, when we graduated in March, we are still BSN graduates, until we took the Nurse's Licensure Examination in December of the same year and got the results in February the next year. Waiting for us to become Registered Nurses took some time. Then I got my first job not related to my course (ESL Instructor) on the same month I passed and finally in August, I was hired as a School Nurse.

About AUP Silang: The atmosphere - Cleanliness. The environment itself is astounding, refreshing, inspirational and uplifting. With the true nature of the campus, non-polluted air, and the fresh air you breathe everyday. They keep the environment as it is. And by planting more trees and making it more refreshing day by day.

The professors are efficient, our second-parents, motivated, inspired and hard working professors. They intend to give their best to let the students know how they are important to them. And have a total commitment to God to help them execute their best for the students.

The facilities - Full service and amenities are given to the students. From building new dorms, renovating the cafeteria, the food itself in a vegetarian list - keeping the students in a healthy lifestyle. No junk food are served inside the cafeteria or the campus store. Dorms are totally new for freshmen and new students and for better cater to other students. They provide their best service for the students and the faculties too.

My current job: I am currently a Accounting Staff/Bookkeeper at a company here in Makati.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation, I had two months vacation then got my first job by June 10, 2013. There were a lot of opportunities after graduation, lots of call interviews, but I just had to have a break first.

About AUP Silang: My school is great. The professors are highly qualified and friendly. They really mentor us. The campus is full of trees and plants that are well kept and trimmed. During my stay in the campus, I matured not only academically. This university offers a lot more.. With an "international school" atmosphere, you will surely develop your social and interperrsonal skills.
