These certified translations not coming directly from the institution are to be certified by the Philippine Foreign Service Post. Students applying for doctoral programs must submit both undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
5. We wish to properly assess your application. Please make sure complete official transcripts are being sent directly from your school to the AIIAS Admissions Office. Uncertified photocopies are not acceptable and cannot be used in processing your application.
6. Graduate Evaluation forms (for non-sponsored applicants only) given to two persons, not related to the applicants, who are able to supply the information required. Request that the recommendation forms be sent directly to the Admissions Office of AIIAS. Check with your referees later to be sure the forms were sent.
7. Financial arrangements made to cover fees and tuition. The international student deposits and/or housing deposit are required of all self-sponsored students before their arrival. 9. A completed Housing Application form, when applicable, and when you are academically accepted and financially cleared.
10. Demonstrate English proficiency. Like the majority of International colleges and universities, AIIAS requires students, who did not graduate from a college or graduate program where English was the medium of instruction, to demonstrate their English proficiency on either the TOEFL or Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency. English is an international language and will help you advance in your chosen career. In order to fulfill the English language requirement, all graduate programs require a student to score a minimum of 80% on the Michigan test or 550 on the TOEFL, or a score of 213 or higher on the computer-based TOEFL. We encourage you to work on your English language proficiency before coming to AIIAS. It may be more cost effective to do this preparation in your own country. Nevertheless, we do have an AIIAS English Center that offers three intensive English classes (English I, II, and III) designed to help meet the English language requirement. If you graduated from an English-speaking college/university in a non-English speaking country, please submit a verification letter from your registrar validating English as the medium of instruction.
After you have been academically accepted and financially cleared, the AIIAS Admissions Office will issue the Invitation Letter and/or the Letter of Acceptance. Your housing application will be processed only when you have been accepted to the program and the required admission deposits are settled.
