Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies
Public Health courses offered at AIIAS SIlang
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students:
1. A completed Application for Admission form, with an application fee of US$50
2. Photocopy of college/university diploma (s) (with certified translation if not in English)
3. Two passport-size (2” x 2”) photographs with white background
4. Official transcripts sent directly to the AIIAS Admissions Office from the registrar of each college/university the student has attended. If the original transcript or diploma is not in English, a certified or notarized literal translation should be attached to the original. These certified translations not coming directly from the institution are to be certified by the Philippine Foreign Service Post. Students applying for doctoral programs must submit both undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
5. Graduate Evaluation forms (for non-sponsored applicants only) given to two persons, not related to the applicants, who are able to supply the information required. Request that the recommendation forms be sent directly to the Admissions Office of AIIAS.
6. Financial arrangements made to cover fees and tuition. The international student deposits and/or housing deposit are required of all self-sponsored students before their arrival. A sponsored student should request the sponsoring organization to complete the Sponsorship Authorization form and mail it directly to the AIIAS Admissions Office. A non-sponsored student will complete a Declaration of Finances form and return it to us with a bank statement showing sufficient funds to cover school expenses.
7. A completed Housing Application form, when applicable, and when you are academically accepted and financially cleared.
8. Demonstrate English proficiency. Like the majority of International colleges and universities, AIIAS requires students, who did not graduate from a college or graduate program where English was the medium of instruction, to demonstrate their English proficiency on either the TOEFL or Michigan Test of English Language Proficiency. English is an international language and will help you advance in your chosen career. In order to fulfill the English language requirement, all graduate programs require a student to score a minimum of 80% on the Michigan test or 550 on the TOEFL, or a score of 213 or higher on the computer-based TOEFL. We encourage you to work on your English language proficiency before coming to AIIAS. It may be more cost effective to do this preparation in your own country. Nevertheless, we do have an AIIAS English Center that offers three intensive English classes (English I, II, and III) designed to help meet the English language requirement. If you graduated from an English-speaking college/university in a non-English speaking country, please submit a verification letter from your registrar validating English as the medium of instruction.
• After you have been academically accepted and financially cleared, the AIIAS Admissions Office will issue the Invitation Letter and/or the Letter of Acceptance. Your housing application will be processed only when you have been accepted to the program and the required admission deposits are settled.
