About my college education: After graduating from college, I believed that it’s not enough just to be a degree holder. I told myself that I need to expand my knowledge and skills further to be more competitive and to have an edge among my peers.
The schedule was favorable since you can choose different class schedules like after office hours and during weekends. I took the weekend classes with nine (9) units will be a full load since I worked regularly from 8am till 5pm, Monday thru Friday. The course group was different given that most of your peers are professionals as well. These groups of students came from different companies with different fields.
Most of the time, discussions on a subject matter will be based on actual experiences in which we can relate and apply to our own field. It was difficult since you still have to study even after office hours and you also have deadline on both your work and school. Time management is a necessity in order to make through the whole nine yards.

My current job: I’m currently a professor of one the schools here in Batangas. I’m teaching both computer and business administration subjects to college students.

Am I using what I learned in college: It was definitely useful because I’m applying the additional knowledge and skills that I’ve learned in during my post graduate studies. It assisted me a lot in my professional career by adopting what I’ve learned from school, through the different discussions and other researches with my peers, and also helped me become a better person

How long did it take to find a job: I was already working at the time when I enrolled to take my Master’s Degree. After I graduated from my post graduate studies, I was immediately promoted as one of the company’s officers.

It was definitely useful because I’m applying the additional knowledge and skills that I’ve learned in during my post graduate studies.

Do I recommend studying MBA: I will definitely recommend students to enroll for a higher educational level. It may be a Master’s Degree in Business or any higher discipline. In this age and time, prudent educational leadership that sees the relevance of education as an instrument of national and global development is of prime importance, the ultimate goal of which is to upgrade high level professions that will continuously provide leadership for the community

About my college education: MBA is interesting for students who wanted to develop business and help their community grow economically. The most difficult part are mathematics and statistics used as a tool in business management most especially for non-math courses.
What is enjoyable is the actual engagement in the establishment of business enterprise as part of our course where I earned a grade of 1.0!
The most challenging is now applying these techniques into the real world of business management where I work as the Executive Director in the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry!

My current job: Business Consultant of the Gesselschaft fur Internationale Zussamenarbeit (GIZ) or German International Cooperation for the DTI-Region 08. I'm tasked to organize and strengthen the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the entire Region 8.

Am I using what I learned in college: YES! In assisting the Chamber of Commerce here in Region 8, we do conduct research works such as organizational assessment before we facilitate Strategic Planning Workshops for their organization. Personally, I designed my research works that would fit the needs of both my employer and the target clients (CCIs and SMEs) . Those difficulties I encountered using Mathematics and Statistics before are now very useful in aiding me with my research. The approach is very scientific and its easy to have your employers approved your plans and programs even if it involves huge budget for operations. The target clients are also supportive amid your objective and target results duly explained to them. Such work plans and programs are clear to them!

How long did it take to find a job: I was already working in Metro Kidapawan Chamber of Commerce and Industry while taking up MBA in CMC as its Executive Director. But when I complete the Masteral Course in 2010, I easily secured the Consultancy Job in GIZ-Eastern Visayas based on my performance, other experience and such Academic qualification. Both the GIZ and DTI-08 were confident that I could help them strengthen their Chamber of Commerce and improved Private Sector Participation most especially in their SME Development Council and the REgional Development Council. I was hired as Full-time Consultant in the same year of 2010.

Do I recommend studying MBA: Absolutely YES! Our workforce is currently in global competition. By mastering our field of work like this one in Business Administration, we have edges over other applicants. Most employers are looking forward where their workers can effectively contribute to the realization of their vision or growth of their company. Employers seek reliable and independent workers! Personally, I find it fulfilling if I accomplish my tasks and in so doing we help build up the corporate image of our clienteles. Workers especially its leaders are proud of their company and their operations. To date, I have one of the most satisfying compensation received in the Philippines at the rate of P35,000 a month! It's far higher than the Regional and Provincial Directors of the DTI. Plus extra Consultancy works with my clients in the varied Chamber of Commerce where I closely assist such as the Preparation of Business Plans and PFS, Operation Manual, lobbying with banks, market matching and even trading with some incentives and/or commissions!

About my college education: I found it Challenging because I had to juggle Work and Studies at he same time. To succeed in this course and any similar course, it is critical that you stay focused. Listening skills are crucial and understanding the lectures.

My current job: I am currrently a consultant for a Multinational Oil Company

Am I using what I learned in college: I'm probably using 15% of what I learned in University, what I tell my kids, its not really what you learned that's important, it's learniong how to learn that is important. Learning will not stop at graduation, it will continue throughout your career, so learning how to learn is crucial.

I would say that my algebra ang logic skills are the bulk of what I am using.

How long did it take to find a job: Less than a year

Do I recommend studying MBA: Getting an MBA to complement your undergraduate degree will open many doors and has potential impact on a higher salary level. However, you still have to deliver at the end, so keep learning new things.

About my college education: It was an invaluable learning experience. Aside from learning a lot in terms of theory, the lessons also gives a lot of insight in terms of practical and actionable solutions in the area of business.

Required skills: analytical skills, Math and English proficiency, interpersonal skills.

My current job: Manager, Business and Project Development for a Real Estate firm

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes. I am using Finance, Marketing, Operations, HR.

How long did it take to find a job: I secured my job even before graduation

Do I recommend studying MBA: Yes, for employment oppurtunities, interesting career and the salary level.

About my college education: I love studying. That's why I never stop on learning new things. The way we discuss different topics in the graduate school gave me more confidence in the real world. You have to read and study hard to be able to survive in graduate school. Everyone is a professional, from different fields which makes discussion more interesting as ideas come from diverse points of view. It was quite a challenge for me because I was working while I was enrolled. But it was fun to be back in school.

My current job: I am a travel blogger and also helps with our family business.

Am I using what I learned in college: The learning I acquired from graduate school made me handle my work more efficiently. I learned how Human Resource works, as well as Marketing and Finance, which also helped me in managing our own business.

How long did it take to find a job: I have a job when I graduated.

Do I recommend studying MBA: Yes. Getting a Master's diploma will give you an edge if you want to climb the managerial ladder.

About my college education: In Ateneo Business School, it is less difficult than UP but you still need analytical and presentation skills to pass.

My current job: I am a Plant Engineering Officer and part time tutor.

How long did it take to find a job: In 3 months I had a job offer in my current job.

About my college education: I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Entrepreneurship at Universidad de Manila. At first I didn’t like my course because it made me think what kind of job I will have if ever I graduated. Eventually I realize that these past years, in the world of business it's not how you will be part of the staff but how will you manage your own business. And it made me think of going into a higher level and now I’m planning to enroll myself in graduate school and have my master's degree.

My current job: I was a former accounting staff for the past 9 months but I left my company for personal reasons.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes, my school teaches us how to be honest, professional; career oriented and most especially, be a role model to the entire studentry.

How long did it take to find a job: It took 2 months for me to find a job. But luckily I am so blessed to be part of a very skillful and smart team.

Do I recommend studying MBA: Yes, I strongly recommend business entrepreneurship to those undecided students and who don’t have the right course in mind. It will make you successful in your dreams and especially in your goals if you are a business minded person. It is the right course for you and be part of the growing entrepreneurs here and abroad.
