Why did I choose IT specialized in Cisco Networking: I chose this course because of my sincere interest to pursue this study. It was my second interest next to Mass Communications. Technically, it is also one of the most highly paid courses around.

About my college education: I have learned the principles of computing, especially in the fields of Software Engineering, Object Oriented programming, Computer Networking and Management.

Most subjects in the school are very hard to pass, an, at most time high percentage of students failing a subject. The challenging ones were math subjects, computer architecture and computer programming as they require most to be executed in a well constructed and efficient logical paradigm.

One of most useful things I used was the training and challenge that I got in computer programming. The syntax and rules of the language was not important but rather the approach and interpretation of a certain problem was essential to create the solution needed.

The passing rate in our school was quite challenging for most people. I myself had failed certain subjects, mostly in mathematics. The quizzes and exam was very hard and advanced. Some people who get a considerable amount of failing grades either transfer to another school or shift to another course.

My current job: Currently, I am employed in Accenture as part of the Infrastructure Services project.

My primary task is to install, configure, troubleshoot different network related concerns from routers, firewalls and switches up to workstation configuration and security implementation.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me 3 months until I finally find a job suited for me with the compensation I need. It took almost an endless time and effort to apply to different employers offering a little compensation.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: There's only one advice I could give:
With every challenging attempts to pass, take it as a challenge to advance yourself. When you failed, take it as an opportunity to learn and develop yourself. Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I first studied BS in Civil engineering but I was having a hard time coping up with the school I enrolled in along with the course, so I transfer school and change my course as well. I decided to go with IT because since childhood days I am always fond of computers and curious as to what is behind the computers and internet that makes them powerful and needed nowadays.

About my college education: IT is an enjoyable course especially if you are more inclined to computers, a techy person or a geek when in comes to technology and computers. If you are that person you wouldn't find this course boring or uninteresting.
You should always know what is the new trends in technology and have an open mind always.

My current job: Currently I don't have any job because the company that I was previously working in is retrenching it's employees, and sadly I'm part of that retrenching. I done some support in my previous job, network engineer and programming.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes, but only a part. Because what you learn in school is only the technical stuffs, how you do it, what is the meaning of this. Purely intellectual and knowledge related stuffs.

How long did it take to find a job: 1 week I guess

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: Yeah definitely! especially now that technology is evolving faster and companies are hiring IT personnel to cope up with the evolving technology. I will definitely recommend the course.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: If you like to write programs for computer, you breathe computers and think always of the current technology that is coming out then you definitely must try this course and continue to pursue your dreams if that is what you like.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I have always loved computers. I always dreamed of becoming an IT man, and guess what? I did!

About my college education: Information technology would always talk about computers from the hardware to the software. The Systems analysis and designs was the hardest one but thank God, I passed everything. The difficulty of the exams depend on the personality and style of the professor. There are some who would be lax, and some would be very strict. During my time, only 2 enrollees shifted to a different calling. There is one thing that I can never forget, to pass a subject, you need to know what the professor's style is in giving exams and grades.

My current job: I am ow currently a loan officer.

Am I using what I learned in college: I had indeed used my knowledge with technology within my current job. I was the one who has been called if there are repair needs as well as networking internet connections.

How long did it take to find a job: I graduated in 2012. I was only hired with my current employer last december 2013. It has been a year since I was hired because I stopped looking for a job to rest and search for the best paying company to compensate my efforts.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: It depends. I would recommend IT because it is my course. Just for the record, IT personnel are the backbone of a company. Since most companies are now transacting through a system, IT personnel would be needed in order to maintain the current system. IT personnel mostly receives high pays.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: If you love computers and want to be techy genius, go for this course. You need to find your passion and if seeing your life with systems and computers, Information technology would be the best for you.

Why did I choose Information Technology: Well primarily because of my early exposure to computer gadgetry as early as the diskette Windows 3.x. After that I do self study from how to operate and how to troubleshoot computers. Practicing the use from an early age makes me choose BSIT.

About my college education: It's a mix of everything. When you feel a certain subject is difficult it gets boring and tedious but when you are interested, it becomes easy and fun given that you do the other side of the bargain (Study Study Study).
If you aren't that research google savy and don't like to do self study then you are doomed (I think on every course that applies).

Adaptability, logic and a heck of research skills. Most of the time professors will be giving you something that you must learn without their intervention either they don't know it as well or they're just messing with you (based from experience xD) You really don't need to be that geeky and high IQ because for example, if you know how a procedure should go and work, all that is left is just to learn how to operate a certain programming language and you are good to go.

My current job: Right now I'm an online mobile website developer and Virtual Assistant for a small tech company in the United Kingdom

Am I using what I learned in college: In my current job field am not using nothing, so I basically start from scratch. I'm just lucky that my boss is a really good motivator and mentor to all the things that I don't know. I've applied to him but landed on a different position and I said to him frankly that I don't know anything on that job but he's cool with it (I'm just damn luck I guess).

How long did it take to find a job: The evening after my graduation I started working.
I've been working online since I was in college.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: As of the moment this course has A LOT of graduates yearly so competition is a little bit stiff but if you think you have the necessary qualification of your chosen job role or field then no need to worry.

Salary is not that bad either for entry levels given that you posses the necessary skills needed.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Never stop learning and if your school offers fully paid or discounted seminars to different Tech Companies (Microsoft, Cisco, Linux etc) GRAB IT! Right now if you do not belong to the Top Gun schools with no sort of employment assistance program and others that pertain to it, getting those precious certifications will give you the advantage.

About my college education: What I like about taking BS in Information Technology is that I learn more about computers on how to troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems. The very interesting in this course is I enjoy learning more about IT and having lots of strategy's how to fix computers and web designing, but besides of enjoying this course there are some difficulties studying it. We students need to have an overnight review for our group projects which I really hate, but despite of that I just did all of my best to finish the course which I choose.

My current job: I have a small business here at home which is computer rentals or a Internet Cafe. I'm also accepting computer repair service at home.

Am I using what I learned in college: I was thankful that I learn a lot from that school. I use my skills in my small business.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduate I just went to an On The Job Training at some office and then put my own business.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: Yes, because computers are popular in the world. Most of the people use it as their everyday living machine, actually computers are demand now a days. Without Computer Technician or IT, how those people who don't have knowledge in repairing computer can repair or fix their own computers if they don't know how to fix it. Imagine living without people who doesn't know how to fix your own television set?. That's why I would suggest to some of my friends to take same course.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I choose this course because my friends was also taking this course and I thought that it was a easy. I also like this course because I like games since I was a child and this hobby is related to it.

About my college education: BS in Information Technology, for me, was difficult at the same time enjoyable and interesting. It was fun for me because I have friends to share with my difficulties.The journey is not boring at all if you have someone to share it with and if you love your work. It felt like heaven when I finished my first program, it was so difficult that I did not sleep many nights just to finish it and it was so rewarding. It just need hard work and effort at the same time dedication to survive the course.

My current job: I work in a hiring website like Odesk as a Freelancer and Data Encoder in a Private Business Entity. As a freelancer, I do data entry, Social Media Marketing and MS applications related job. On the other job, as what the title states, I encode data and other information and other clerical works.

Am I using what I learned in college: What is useful is only the basic programs and skills that I gained from my course like data encoding, MS applications, basic programming and HTML. Some are not really applied to my work.

How long did it take to find a job: I already had work before graduating in college but not related to the course. I worked in a Fast Food restaurant until I graduated. I finally have a job that is related to my course after 8 months which is the Data Encoder job.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: I will recommend it to the people who really like IT and their fields is in Technology. Don't bother to get this course If you are not patient and you don't love your work because at the end your life will be ruined and you end up failing. The course is nice and with many opportunity. You just need connections to have a better work (Trending nowadays). Salary Level is low if you work in the Philippines because IT is deprived what they are worth. Working online is better because you are treated well with good salary.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: As I said above, hard work and effort at the same time dedication to survive the course.You must be self-motivated to finish each project because sometimes, only yourself can help you, friends are not always there so, you must be independent and trust yourself that you can do it.

My other advice is don't choose SJIT college if you want to have this course because they don't teach well in Information Technology. You should choose a school that specializes this course and that can give a better attention to the with regard to Information Technology.

Why did I choose Information Technology: It is not my choice, I just learn to like it. This course is broad. You can learn this and that in your own pace of knowledge, you can explore and focus on one expertise: Like, IT Business Management, Programming, Web Designing, Graphic Designing and so on.

About my college education: I learned how technology works.
Java Programming was the most difficult subject.
IT General Certification is not that difficult, but many failed the exam - only 10% in our class passed it. The majority of our freshmen classmates shifted to other courses.
IT knowledge management was the most useful tool that even today, I am applying.


My current job: I am currently working as Finance & Accounting Supervisor at a Car Dealer Company. Supervises my team Professionals, prepares monthly & year end accounting reports in timely and comprehensible manner.

Am I using what I learned in college: I learned much on soft skills - managing a team, being efficient and effective in every complex workloads and being an achievement-oriented in every time frame of goals. I practically not working as an IT Professional now, but an Accounting one.

How long did it take to find a job: It took only 2 weeks for me to find job related to Information Technology (but I declined).
It took 2 months for me to find a job related to Finance, Business & Management (which I am currently working now).

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: There are bunch of opportunities as an IT Professional, and you can choose any of them depending on your expertise.
In regards to Salary level, as far as I know, IT Professionals have higher salary level than those other Professionals.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: If you are technology driven individual, then BS Information Technology will complement your passion, and it's for you.

Why did I choose Information Technology: During the time when I was about to choose the course that I am going to take in College, IT is already booming. It can be seen everywhere so I got really interested about it. We had a programming class when I was in 4th year college and after being exposed to the basics of programming, that was then that I realized that IT is the course that I want to take up in College.

About my college education: Basically, I learned programming, networking, IT fundamentals, ethics and concepts and how to apply them in the actual workplace and was exposed to different technologies. I consider Oracle Data Management (Specialization), Network Management, Object Oriented Programming, COA, OS Lab and of course, our Capstone Project to be the difficult subjects for I encountered sleepless nights and experienced asking for the Lord's grace just to pass them.

In general, passing exams is difficult and it's nerve-racking. I am threatening no one, but many of us did failed exams (even I encountered failing), and shifedt to another course and some even transferred schools because of the pressure. But, if you just study hard, attend to class regularly and listen to your professors' lectures, learn how to conquer pressure and manage your time well, and enjoy what you do you'll definitely succeed in this course.

My current job: I just graduated a month ago, and I have just started my job hunting. :)

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Since there is a huge pool of IT graduates nowadays, some would interpret as IT being an easy course, but they're wrong. I've been an IT student and I can say that IT isn't a "no sweat" course. So I advice those who are considering this course to be prepared to take lots of programming and math subjects.

It is an exciting and a challenging course. Just be hardworking and passionate about this field and you'll surely be able to survive this course.

About my college education: The IT field is very challenging, full of rocky road and difficulties ahead. To succeed in this chosen path, you need to have analytical and problem solving skills. You always need to think "outside the box", for your code to run productively. One tip I can give you is you also need some serious Math skills in UST, since the IT course falls under the Faculty of Engineering (Engineering teachers also teaches IT students, so get ready for one hell of a ride.)

My current job: I'm currently a SAP Business Warehouse developer. I do back-end database objects, cleansing and transformation of data for reporting and analysis.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes, the object-oriented programming taught to us really came in handy for my current role, I can do custom ABAP (programming language for SAP) codes for routines, transformations in Business Warehousing.

How long did it take to find a job: I already had a job offer before graduation

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: Yes, as one of the top schools in the Philippines, employment opportunities is vast. As far as I can remember, we are about 45 in our class, and all of them got an employment, within 3 months from graduation. I also can say that my course and training, got me this interesting career I have now, it paved the way for what I am today. As for the salary level, I also am paid well enough for my career, thanks to this course.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I really wanted to enrich my knowledge on computers. I love it when I try to find a solution on how to fix things. And one of the hardest things to fix nowadays are computers.

About my college education: By reading my books, taking notes, and being attentive all can be easy, the only thing that was hard for me was my thesis.

My current job: Now I’m a freelancer and I help my mother with her business.
As a freelancer I fix pc issues, troubleshooting, reformat PCs and I do some graphic designs.

Am I using what I learned in college: I learned that if I want to be successful in life, I must not depend on others I must persevere and always aim for my goals in life. Never stop dreaming and never lose hope.

How long did it take to find a job: I had my first job as a internet café custodian 3 months after my graduation. I monitor people who rent the café computers, I troubleshoot most issues regarding PCs and repair Softwares.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: I encourage people for this course who are interested in learning more not just on computers but also in technology. Internet has many uses nowadays and it's still evolving, you can even earn at home with just the aid of the computer and internet.

After graduating you can also be a technical support specialist which salary ranges from P11,000 – P16,000/month.


Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: For students who want to take B.S.I.T as their course, before deciding to take a certain course he/she must think twice before applying. Take I.T. If you really want to know more about computers not because for the reason of getting better at computer games.

Why did I choose Information Technology: Ever since I was young I loved cartoons and animations. When I was young I loved to draw animals and cartoon characters. At my high school days I even got addicted to animation that one time at class I didn’t listen to the teacher instead I drew anime characters.

About my college education: I.T. as a course was fun since I get to learn more about computers. I also get to enhance my skills in Video / Photo Editing and Graphic design. I didn’t have too much difficulty on our assignments, projects, and exams since I was really enjoying the course. Some of my classmates gave up, but not me I was more eager and determined to finish the course.

My current job: Currently I am in Canada and I do credit card processing, payroll, and gift card sales. They have a couple of different items that they sell but credit cards and payrolls are sort of my forte. I am somewhat like a processing staff for credit cards, and gift card sales. What I mostly do is make report on sales and I persuade people why they should invest in credit cards.

Am I using what I learned in college: Other than I have a better understanding on computers now, I also have better understanding on how technology can innovate people. I am glad to say that I took Information technology because most of the lessons that were taught are being well applied at my current occupation.

How long did it take to find a job: Year 2009 my first job was to work as a crew in a gaming center. It was owned by a close family friend, He was also an IT graduate. He said that I should work as crew there just for working experience so that after I could easily apply for any IT related jobs in the future.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: If they were to choose were to study I recommend that they study at a better I.T. school because they would have better knowledge on the course. Also they would have bigger chances on having a high paying job.


Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: I encourage them to take this course in Ateneo Manila or abroad. I am not saying that taking I.T. here in Davao is a bad idea but of course if you want to have a vast knowledge in technology and computers my advice is to take the course on a much better university.

Why did I choose Information Technology: First I enrolled BS in Nursing in my Alma Mater, but we can't afford to continue my studies in this field due to financial problem. So I shifted to Information Technology, I thought IT was the easiest among other courses but unfortunately not.

About my college education: As time past by I loved my degree because even though it's hard and nerve wracking, it's challenging and it helps me boost my knowledge on computers because during my high school days I've got good grades. My choice to enter this field was worth it.

I have learnt web development, mobile programming both iOS and Android, networking, basic animation, photoshop, hardware repairing etc. The most difficult subject for me is Statistics, COA and Discrete Mathematics.

The most useful things I've learnt is Mobile programming (android and iOS) and I think these is our edge among the universities in the province or regions because we are the first university that offers iOS and Android programming.

Passing of exams is difficult when you're not prepared but it's easy as 123 if you prepared 2 weeks before the examination period. Many students shifted to other courses because they all knew that IT is easy, but started to get mad when it come to Programming subjects, many of the students failed to pass these subject.

For you to survive in this course you must study hard and keep focus for you to catch up with things everyday. Keep in mind if others can why can't you.

My current job: I'm a Mobile Developer/Programmer, we are the one who developed applications for mobile devices like Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows.

Am I using what I learned in college: I've used my knowledge in mobile development (Android and iOS).

How long did it take to find a job: I got absorbed in the company where I rendered my OJT for almost 5 months. So, I've started to work after my graduation.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: To all the people who wants challenge and wants to prove themselves, take BS in Information Technology other than it's in-demand due to growing technology, it'a also one of the highest paid job.

There are a lot of employment opportunities here due to growing technology.
A fresh graduate can have a salary as low as 12K and as high as 20K. More experiences are waiting because you can learn other IT fields like web development.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I am very good at using the computer and everything about it. I am an internet savvy and a acomputer literate. I also love programming and I have a wide background on different programming languages. Studying this course will help me enhance my knowledge on programming and will add up my skills and specialty particularly in using the Computer and everything in between

About my college education: Sometimes it's boring but most of the times is Fun. It depends on the professor. If the Professor is teaching an interesting lesson and topic then it will be a Fun Class. And other way around if it's pretty boring well the class is very quiet and no interaction at all.

Skills? You just need to be very Good at using the computer, You should know how surf the internet and you should be able most of the pathways using the computer.

My current job: I am a System Admin at SPI Global. I do most of the time programming and software troubleshooting. Everything is taught and training is made.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes I can say that I applied everything I did. And everything I learned and all skills and all attributes can be applied to this kind of Job.
The programming language taught on our lesson from my university everything about it I can apply it. Most especially Java language and C++ so I can really say that I applied everything about my University.

How long did it take to find a job: As I can remember it, about TWO months after I graduated. Because I really wanted to work on a Company that will make me good at and will enhance all my skills and knowledge about everything I learned.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: If you will graduate in Saint Louie University you can have a very good opportunity on employments and also the very high chance of being hired.
Salary level, well as an average programmer I can say that it's in range within 16-20k where I can say that is pretty good for all the experiences and skills I have learned.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: You should be very good at using the computer. And you should know how to surf the internet. When the lesson is taught, the basics will not be taught and all that is left for you is your basic knowledge and you should have the Adequate skills and attributes on how to go through the Computer

About my college education: Honestly, IT was not really my chosen course but because of my father's suggestion I enrolled it. At first I was really nervous because I don't even have any background about computers unlike my classmates who were graduated in different private schools. But as I go along with this study, it became interesting and challenging to me. I can say that this course is really difficult but as you try to start doing basic computer programs up to developing Information Systems, you will surely enjoy it.
When it comes to the required skills to suceed as an IT students, basically, hardwork is the best skill you need to have, followed by logical skills and a little bit of math skills.

My current job: I don't have any current job now because of my own decision to focus on becoming a fulltime mom, but I was a College Software Instructor until I got pregnant.

Am I using what I learned in college: As a college Instructor, most of the lessons I've prepared for my students was the product of what I have learned from my studies.

How long did it take to find a job: After graduation, I first decided to have my own business, it lasted for some months then I decided to apply for a job. I chose to apply as a Computer Instructor in a Learning Center in Bulacan. The day after I had submitted my resume, I was scheduled for an interview and got the job right after that interview.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: When it comes to employment opportunities, IT has a wide variety of opportunities here and abroad.

It's a very fulfilling and interesting career, since it involves technology, you need to be updated from time to time about the latest trends, software, programs, etc. in line with technology.

Salary is really good!

About my college education: The new curriculum has made the school more interesting with those subjects that are inclined to the world of freelancing which are the most trending jobs these day via online platforms for the student's future endeavor. It's enjoying to learn with the new set of challenges by means of improving the skills you can acquire through time as you keep up with the school requirements by semester. Apparently, ACLC College of General Santos City is known to be a computer school. So basically, techy people would be the first to look forward to what it has to offer in the modern world. All skills would be necessary but the results will always depend on how well do you perform in each activity that is being provided.

My current job: I am currently the Creative Artist in the KCC Mall of Gensan's marketing department who does all the marketing collateral that's needed for promotion purpose but is also a part-time freelancer in Odesk for years now which has improve my creative imagination on designs.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes, I am using what I have learned in college especially those basic IT knowledge that I was able to retain in mind. More specifically, office applications, basic graphics design, troubleshooting and PC repairs.

How long did it take to find a job: I had my first job months after my graduation as an in-house graphic designer of an outsourcing company named, Virtuous Business Solutions which lasted for only 3 (three) months because I was given a new opportunity for my endeavor.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: Yes, I would highly recommend this course to others for how demanding the market is for graduates of this course, at present. However, an individual should always decide on what he/she really wants to achieve and become in the future with his/her chosen course. As for the salary level, online jobs are giving the most out of your skill from hourly to fixed price projects, depending on your preference.

About my college education: Information Technology is very interesting especially to those who are gamers and wanted to be innovators in the future. The difficulty of the course is nothing more than a piece of chicken if you are really dedicated to what you wanted to be. It is enjoyable because you are creating a figure with just a number and some solutions that are needed to form that figure, it is also enjoyable because you can and also creating your own game. The challenge is to create and surpass the programmers, game creators and or innovators in the near future, being number 1 in the field of Computing Science is an honor just doing and going to the right path.

The skills needed for this course is analytical skills, mathematical skills, hard work, problem solving, creativity, dedication, understanding and always and never forget the word fun in this type of course, but always be serious on the things that you are going to do, especially in creating a new java game or being an innovator and being a defender.

My current job: Self employed - still enjoying some of my skills as a game creator.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes, programming skills

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: For employment - you can go to technical support at call centers, programmer/defender, innovator and game creator.
Well, for me the most fulfilling thing in this kind of course is when you have created a game that everyone is so interested with like RPG, today you can see that Role Playing Game (RPG) is rampaging all over the world not only in Asia where many gamers are playing day and night. So that is the most fulfilling part of being a Information Technology "Geek".
Salary level. I think you can see that when you have created a game, innovate something in the near future, being the number 1 defender/programmer

Why did I choose Information Technology: It is because I'm a "techie" person. I want know how hardware parts and software programming. Also, my parents wanted me to earn big when I land a job.

About my college education: I learned a lot from my course. I know now how to code programs from simple module to a fully functioning system. I can also work with my technical skills now like picking the good hardware parts for a gaming PC.

Subject that is the most difficult for me is Humanities - Art Appreciation. I'm not a creative person so I think I have difficult time in doing rationalization on simple art. Most useful thing I learned are becoming an organize person and maximize my time management skills.

Passing the exams was not that difficult if you put a lot of effort in reviewing. Most of the questions were taken from the syllabus or from the prescribed book. In my batch, few students failed the exams. As far as I can remember, only 3 of my close friends shifted to another course. Most of us, in tact.

You must be very logical and systematic when you are in this course. Mainly because programming use your logical skills on how to deal with problems and come up with the best solution. You have to imagine that programming is like teaching a baby (the computer) on how to do something (the task) on a step-by-step basis. It needs a lot of patience, perseverance and critical thinking.

My current job: As of now, I am a jobless undergrad. It has been 2 months and a half since I graduated but I don't have a job. Hopefully, soon. :)

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: It is fun! Everyone must try it. All you have to do is to enhance your logical skills and have time management. I can say everyone can create a program/module if you have the drive to learn programming. You must put your heart into it.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I chose this course (IT) because among all the courses listed in the CHED scholarship program, I thought it's the best one suited for me and would help lift me up in the near future.

About my college education: I have learned a lot in this course and a whole sheet of paper (back-to-back) isn't enough if I'm going to enumerate all those. But one I thing I could say, I haven't only learned about computers (troubleshooting and computer's origin), PL languages (Java, PHP, VB, C++ and etc.) and etc, but also some values (perseverance, courage, hard work and patience) that an individual must possessed in order to succeed.

My current job: I am an IT instructor, handling IT subjects.

Am I using what I learned in college: I've learned about college student's traits and so I came up with some strategies on how to deal up with them specially those hard-headed males. And more of that, I've learned academically and the experiences greatly helped me during discussion sessions.

How long did it take to find a job: I graduated March 2012 and land a job by June 2012.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: I would highly recommend this course since we are now in this what we call "high-tech" generation. Through this, you'll be updated on this techno world. When it comes to salary, you won't really regret of why you took up this course and of course just like a system program, it would still vary on how your going to run up your life.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: To you guys out there who will took up this course, BS-Information Technology is NOT an OPTION, it's a CHOICE, so take it with great courage and perseverance. It may be so hard at first but as you go on to it, you will learn to love it.

About my college education: Since I like to explore more on computers, understanding algorithms and programming I chose this course and studied at AMA Computer College. You need to have a very strong analytical and logic skills in terms of programming as well as presenting it to the entire class.

My current job: I'm working at Optus-one of the leading telecommunication company in Australia as mobile service assurance expert.

Am I using what I learned in college: Yes of course. My strong background for IT help me to achieve the targets set by our clients in terms of providing accurate and timely technical resolution and also to exceed the expectation of our customers for using our products and services.

How long did it take to find a job: After I graduated, I became a technical professor for the same branch afterwards I secured my job for a contact centre in Manila.

Do I recommend studying Information Technology: I strongly recommend to take computer courses since this will give you an opportunity to work on highly anticipated IT companies regardless of their locations, use what you've learned from college but this time on a practical level. Salary ranges may vary per company, your expertise and your job experiences.

Why did I choose Information Technology: I chose to study in Information Technology because it is the in-demand course here at the Philippines. I chose to study IT because I like surfing the internet and I would like to know how computers works.
I decided to take Information Technology because we are now living in the world where technologies and gadgets are everywhere and the need for IT persons are essential and I took this course because I can work in a home based whenever I can find a job.

About my college education: I learned so many things when I was studying at USEP taking BS in IT. Iv'e learned some programming languages like HTML/CSS, Android programming, JAVA and PHP/MySQL. For me the most difficult subjects are the Project Management, Technopreneurship and Research Methods and programming because I got INC's even failed to those subjects.

The most useful things I have learned are time management, don't procrastinate and don't take the subjects for granted because you will be the one who will suffer at the end.

My current job: Right now I'm still searching for a job.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: My advice to the future students of BSIT in USEP are that they should study well and take the subjects seriously. When they encounter terror teachers they should never forget that they need respects. If they don't understand the lesson of the topic they should not be shy and should ask the professor. They should not be with people who are bad influence because they can ruin your studies and be with people who are optimistic and good and they should not be lazy or procrastinate because they might end in failure or an INC.
