But honestly even my blockmates who are not cum laude's didn't have a hard time seeking a job because it's everywhere you just have to choose your own selected field.

Salary depends on the job that you prefer, this is the case for all jobs. But in my case my starting salary is around 20k

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Everyone say it's "scary" but I had block mates who weren't that good in math but graduated in that degree. Its because of their perseverance to finish the course. So it's really not impossible.

◈ Studied BSBA in Financial Management
◈ At Colegio De San Juan De Letran
◈ Graduated 2013

list bulletWhy did I choose BSBA in Financial Management: I transferred from BS-Accountancy to BSBA-Major in financial management. Financial Management focuses more on the operational cash flow of the corporation or of a company.

list bulletAbout my college education: What I cannot forget in this course is everything about good and bad investments.
The subjects that are most difficult would probably be the minor subjects (Rizal, NSTP, PE, mostly are the ones who would fail the students even if it is a minor subject. Especially NSTP, they are very strict and high standards in that subject matter.)

Investment is the most useful, you can see investment in your everyday life. It makes you to think more of a businessman than an ordinary person.

Major subjects are very difficult but the ones who aim to have no line of 7 can do it better than the others, no, some others shift course, but just in a different major.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently in my second year of law school.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: My first job offer was 4 months after my graduation, thanks to a referral from letran.

list bulletDo I recommend studying BSBA in Financial Management: For employment opportunities, BSBA-major in financial management is good. BSBA-FM gives you varieties of work that you can do. You can have different jobs and even be a CFO if you are good.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Do not feel belittled by the BS-AC, as far as anybody know, what you are learning is the same as what they are learning.
You just have to prove that they are not higher than you.
Be sure to be creative and also sociable, it may become handy when it comes to your thesis'

◈ Studied BSBA in Financial Management
◈ At Xavier University - Ateneo De Cagayan University
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose BSBA in Financial Management: I was an accountancy student then I shifted to business ad when I reached in 3rd yr. I chose finance because it is much closer to my previous course, I also like to work in a bank and I want to be a businesswoman in the future which I think Ill excel more if I chose finance as my major.

list bulletAbout my college education: it was challenging and interesting. You get to realize that finance is everywhere and the facts about finance are really interesting. You will realize and analyze how finance and the business world works.

we have a feasibility study implementation in college which serves as an OJT, it's a subject where we create feasibility study and turn it into a business and managing it on our own. There, I Was able to apply what I learned inside the classroom.

list bulletMy current job: I'm currently unemployed but I am now working on my pre-employment requirements in a bank that I am applying for as an accounting assistant.

list bulletDo I recommend studying BSBA in Financial Management: Finance graduates have plenty of job opportunities, and can be flexible in any type of job because finance has a broad scope, every business and institution has finance in it.

Average Salary level for a fresh graduate is big enough, sometimes if you happen to be in a prestigious company, you will be paid more.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Be updated on current events, even important past events about business especially related to finance. Always read and watch news because you will have a broader understanding about the subject on how finance really works in the real world. You should also have a passion for investing because it talks a lot about it, on how should the money be wisely spent and stuff.

◈ Studied BSBA in Financial Management
◈ At Xavier University - Ateneo De Cagayan
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose BSBA in Financial Management: I was a shiftee from accountancy, but this course is from an option to a passion.

list bulletAbout my college education: Since the day that I shifted, it became easy for me, I never got to experience studying overnights, studying endlessly, I just study for utmost 3 hours. But What I didn't knew was, the course was interesting after all, it teaches us how to manage our funds, where to put them, studying financial markets and the like. I get to use this practically in the future when I have funds.

The skills that I needed to achieve the course was consistency, I was an average student consistent B (or mostly Bs) while sometimes I would get below that and sometimes higher than that but that is my Average, if I felt that I needed to study, then I study to get me back to average. Attitude, determination are keys for the success of my course.

list bulletMy current job: I don't have an 8 hour job, but I am a insurance agent thus would mean financial consultant.

list bulletDo I recommend studying BSBA in Financial Management: This course would teach you how financial markets work. But it you are in a city that has not really developed the sense of these financial markets (same as where I am living now) then you have zero in employment opportunities, you become a normal graduate of a business course being hired as tellers or ranks in the rank and file.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: The advice I can give is that still consistency, even after you graduate you should still study the financial markets because one day you'll notice that it has become very useful for you especially in handling your cash, you get to know when, where and how to place them.

◈ Studied BSBA in Financial Management
◈ At Xavier University-Ateneo De Cagayan
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose BSBA in Financial Management: I believe that this course is the best preparatory course for law school as this course covers a wide range of business-related and legal-related subjects that are highly useful in studying law. Also, it's application is very useful and practical in our daily activities as we always encounter business and financial matters in everything we do. Lastly, it would further expand my knowledge in handling business and financial matters so that in the future years to come when I will be the one handling the family business, I will be able to apply all that I have learned from my undergrad course.

list bulletAbout my college education: As an optimist, I would say that my chosen course is both challenging and interesting because it is already a package of the other courses offered in our college such as Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Major in Marketing Management and Economics. As a finance major, we are not only taught about the basics and essentials of running a business but also the side of business financing and investments which I believe is a very important factor when you want to be successful in running a business. One must possess dedication to work and a drive to succeed because in Financial Management, it's all about money, financing and investments. You cannot be successful in putting up and running a business if you don't have the aforementioned qualities and attitude. Business world is not always a happy place since investments fluctuate that is why if you want to succeed, you may want to direct yourself and be prepared (through strategy-making and tactics) for future turmoils that you may experience.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently unemployed because I am planning to study Bachelor of Laws this coming school year.

list bulletAm I using what I learned in college: The things I learned in college was definitely practical. For instance, I never knew what is the significance of the stock market in relation to our country and economy and I never knew why the fluctuations of the peso to dollar rate would affect almost all of the prices of our country's commodities. Through finance, I have understood how the stock market plays. Our stock market is an indicator of whether the country is progressing or not and whether investments are becoming attractive for foreign investors. Finance has a lot in store for everyone. It covers a wide range of topics but learning it is never boring but rather, it becomes more and more interesting.

list bulletDo I recommend studying BSBA in Financial Management: This course would really be practical for everybody since as a Business Administration and Finance major would really be fit to any industry here in our country. Business and Finance go hand in hand and they are everywhere. You are considered a professional and it is never a boring career.

In terms of salary level, the opportunities are high since one can work in Banks, Big Corporations, any business (big or small) in the country or even in the government. The pay is definitely high even when you are just a fresh graduate.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: I would say that one should be open-minded since this course has a lot to offer, even four years of studying finance is not enough because there's a lot more to know about. Consider this course and major as a fun and interesting matter because if you learn to love it from the heart, it will surely make learning finance a fun major.

◈ Studied BSBA in Financial Management
◈ At University Of Santo Tomas
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose BSBA in Financial Management: I initially wanted marketing. In my course, we take two years of basic business and take our major the next two years. Through the course of studying, I got interested in global economics and money market instruments. I thought marketing was something I could already do, and investments was a whole new realm so I decided to dip into the challenge.

list bulletAbout my college education: The basic business part was easy. Hell started after that. It was difficult, honestly, plus the chairman of the course (also our prof) was a monster. No kidding. I always found myself trying to catch up, not just me but a lot of us. In our college, this major has the most failed students. This course requires a lot of perseverance and self-confidence or it would make you crazy. It also needs heaps of coffee and brain cells. One must keep a positive attitude and outlook at all times and good time management. One also needs to have a handful of friends so you always have someone to ask for help. Being grade-conscious is not necessary, but it is a plus.

list bulletMy current job: None yet. I haven't applied yet since I'm on yolo mode. It was a tiring college life, I want to breathe on fresh air for a while.

list bulletAm I using what I learned in college: In this course and other commerce courses, the problems are real world and quantifiable situations. I used Accounting principles and Taxation in my practicum. Law on Obligations and Contracts is also a very useful learning. In a job interview I had (we got invited, we need not apply), I had been asked about market instruments, global markets, and the stock exchange.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I don't have a job yet, but some of my classmates have jobs now. It took them around less than a month to a month. There was enough free time between final exams and graduation for applying.

list bulletDo I recommend studying BSBA in Financial Management: Courses in finance, accountancy and marketing are sure employment generators. Every company needs these type of people.
As for salary level, it does offer a competent salary so far, through my research. But as an entry level I don't expect much. It has, although, the capacity of earning high after promotions or enough years of experience.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: Like I mentioned earlier, it is very important to take this course with friends so that help is at hand. I didn't, and I regret it. Group studying is very effective because in this course, one must always be armed before going to class. When you read on your own, it's like alien language and it could be very boring. Coffee and fast food is a staple. Never go hungry, so that your brain is equipped with brain cells ready to get burned. A positive attitude and ample self-confidence is necessary to combat frustrations from failure. Hold on to your goals all the time (stick them on the wall or something) so that when you feel down, you will see the reason why you're still striving. And lastly, never ever give up. If you feel like giving up after reading this advice, then better pick another course. It is not for the faint-hearted.
