About my college education: On my first year in the school I was very anxious and worried because of the new people around me. I get to adjust on the following years of my study and I get along with all the people I have been with. All in all the experience was great and very memorable for me. All the nice people I met and all our shared experiences in making and developing some experimental aircrafts.
The only skill that is important in our profession is determination because there are alot of challenges that could deter your willingness to study the course.

My current job: Im currently taking preparations for my flying lessons.

Am I using what I learned in college: The lessons are both theoretical and practical and we could really use those lessons on our field such as wieght and balance of the aircraft, repair and modifications of the aircaft and strenght and materials of the aircraft. These are all applicable to all other aircrafts so basically your equiped when you graduated from the school.

Do I recommend studying Aeronautical Engineering: Yes, I would recommend this to those young high school students who are fascinated by aircrafts. The salary is very good and you get to love your job because of the constant travel, different aircarfts and their engines and understand how each of their part works.

Basically if you want to proceed to flying lessons it would just take a month for the basic requirements and if not you could work as a professor or as a aircraft engineer which could take as much as 2 months.

Why did I choose Aeronautical Engineering: Airplane Design

About my college education: It's fun and very tedious, we do a lot of computations and graphs. It requires determination and a bit of brain cells.

My current job: Reliability Engineer (FDMS).
Team leader of Reliability Team and Aircraft Configuration Management Team.

What we do in Reliability team is to update the Aircraft flight log and Aircraft Maintenance log, which will be transformed into a Reliability Report and will be utilized by the management to analyze and isolate what are causing the delay in operations.

Aircraft Configuration, we work with Russell Adams system. The system is like virtual aircraft, in RAL we install thousands of components. Our objective is to make the system and Aircraft actual configuration in PAR at all times.

Am I using what I learned in college: I think none, It's a very different environment.

How long did it take to find a job: Five months. After my Board Exam.

Do I recommend studying Aeronautical Engineering: Yes, I do recommend. Aviation industry nowadays is booming, why not grab the opportunity. Entry Level salary is 16 k to 20k.

Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course: They should have a passion about airplanes, and curiosity how the aviation industry works.
