About my college education:
It's fun and very tedious, we do a lot of computations and graphs. It requires determination and a bit of brain cells.
My current job:
Reliability Engineer (FDMS).
Team leader of Reliability Team and Aircraft Configuration Management Team.
What we do in Reliability team is to update the Aircraft flight log and Aircraft Maintenance log, which will be transformed into a Reliability Report and will be utilized by the management to analyze and isolate what are causing the delay in operations.
Aircraft Configuration, we work with Russell Adams system. The system is like virtual aircraft, in RAL we install thousands of components. Our objective is to make the system and Aircraft actual configuration in PAR at all times.
Am I using what I learned in college:
I think none, It's a very different environment.
How long did it take to find a job:
Five months. After my Board Exam.
Do I recommend studying Aeronautical Engineering:
Yes, I do recommend. Aviation industry nowadays is booming, why not grab the opportunity. Entry Level salary is 16 k to 20k.
Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course:
They should have a passion about airplanes, and curiosity how the aviation industry works.
