Reviews of BS in Legal Management graduates:

J. P.
◈ Studied BS Legal Management
◈ At San Beda University
◈ Graduated 2008

list bulletWhy did I choose Legal Management: Because I was interested in pursuing law when I took the course.

list bulletAbout my college education: I would say the most difficult subject is taxation. Most of the students struggle with the combination of law and computation. There were also many tricky questions in taxation. There were many students who failed that subject in my batch. Boring subjects would be Theology especially for non-Catholic students.

The most enjoyable part of studying BS Legal Management is that you can learn different fields such as law and business management. It is a combination of those two fields so students can still have a career if they don't pursue law school thereafter.

Reading habits is the most important trait students must develop to succeed in the course. Everyday is recitation day.

list bulletMy current job: I am a writer for a business magazine.
I write at least five business articles every week.

list bulletAm I using what I learned in college: The reading habit that I acquired in college is very practical to what I do now as a writer.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Around three months

list bulletDo I recommend studying Legal Management: For employment opportunities, I don't really recommend it. What I suggest is one should take law after or take graduate studies as competition is high without an advanced degree.

Salary level is not high as well but for experienced employees, that would depend from company to company.

I can guarantee that it is a fulfilling and interesting career. I have been invited to many conferences overseas because of my knowledge and I link it with my background in law.

list bulletAdvice to people who are thinking of studying this course: You should know you goal before choosing the course. Many students choose a course because of the job prospects. In Legal Management, there are not many companies that particularly hire graduates of this course which means that competition will be high when finding employment. So it is best if you really find law interesting then you can find this course beneficial to your career.
