Why did I choose Legal Management:
I was too young and honestly didn't take it seriously. I can't even remember if I chose it at random or chose it because I thought it had nothing to do with mathematics.
About my college education:
It's a mix of everything, and the best way to describe it is that it's an experience.
The best skills and attitude in succeeding in this course is consistency and balance. If you find something that works, keep doing unless it proves otherwise. It's a balance of being serious in your studies but not letting the collegiate experience pass you by.
My current job:
Billing Consultant
Am I using what I learned in college:
Yes, I definitely use it on a daily basis.
One of the skills that I use often is being able to be articulate when trying to express myself. That is especially helpful as a call center agent as we are faced with different kinds of people everyday, and you have to be able to handle different personalities and adapt to different situations as quick as possible. Another thing is the mindset, studying law gave me the mindset to be more flexible in handling demanding situations and finding the right balance between listening and proving a point.
How long did it take to find a job:
I never looked for a job right away, was hoping that I could find my luck somewhere else and tried getting into different self-made businesses. But, when I finally decided to get a job I got one almost immediately.
Do I recommend studying Legal Management:
Yes, it is a good starting point if you want to be a lawyer. If not, it's good to know how the law works as it does not excuse anyone. The skills you will learn here is useful whatever path you take.
Advice to people who are thinking of studying this course:
Take the time to think about what you want to do with your life, it's not a race but there is a time limit when you can do what you're passionate about and still have time to enjoy the fruits of your labor.
