Why did I choose this school:
The University of San Agustin is the less taken path when it comes to studying BS Biology. I chose this school, first of all, because It was the school where my older brother went to and secondly, the BS Biology program of the university is PAASCU accredited.
About University of San Agustin:
The school is actually conducive for learning (coming from a context of a biology student) because, though the campus is located in the heart of the city, there are certain areas within the school campus were we can use in studying outside the classroom (a relative abundance of plants, soil and micro-habitats that we can study in ecology).
Professors are approachable, students are friendly and the overall ambiance would really give you that "university vibe" which makes you feel grounded as a student.
Facility-wise? I have no problem with that.
From our speech lab use during English classes,
Discussions in air-conditioned rooms some of our GE classes,
Scanning through the library with thousands of volumes of books,
Using the computer lab and wifi to search for resources,
Using the latest binocular electric microscopes during lab session,
A wide inventory of chemicals readily available during labs or research experiments,
An accessible, in-campus bookstore to fulfill our "student needs"
And of course a spacious gymnasium.
My current job:
I work as a teacher in a private basic education institution teaching General Biology 1 & 2 for grade 12 senior high school students.
How long did it take to find a job:
I started applying for a job 2 weeks before my graduation and before the graduation ceremony, I got accepted already.
