About SLU: Saint Louis University is not as it says it is. Advertisements tell you it offers high-quality education, but the reality is far from that claim. Of all the professors I met, only few are really experts on the subjects they're teaching. Plus, not all of them are good in teaching. Some are so lazy, they just let the class do group reporting, Powerpoint presentation, and lesson compilation.

Some classes were too boring to attend to not because the lessons weren't interesting enough, but because the instructors spent the whole period wasting everybody's time.

Our desktop computers were purchased back in 1997, and even in 1993! Almost all are pestered with computer viruses. They are so obsolete that once students get out of the school, they are left clueless of today's innovation. Unless they have other means to keep up with technology.

Sure, we do have an Internet library. But Internet connection is so slow, it doesn't help with research at all. Printing price is ridiculously expensive. Five pesos per page is too much for a draft-printed black-and-white page. All 3rd year-5th year students are required to pay 300pesos for Internet library fee every semester, which is a waste of money since we're not using the library because of the stated problems above.

We're not allowed to bring laptops, cameras, and other gadgets unless we ask for a written permission from the Student Affair's Office. All students think this rule is detrimental to their learning progress and is very inconvenient.

The only good thing I can say about my school is this: the name lands us a job.

About SLU: I was a graduate of one of the best and prestigious universities in the country. Saint Louis University, being the "Light of the North" is a catholic school located in Baguio City, Philippines. It was interesting to have studied in a place where there is a presence of competent teachers. I have dreamt of studying in a school where they aim to build wisdom and instill good values to students. They have complete facilities where students can have fun and participate in extracurricular activities, good medical services and good ambiance especially that the weather is good. Although, there is a diversity of culture it has not been a problem to me, I enjoyed the company of my fellow students especially those member of the ethnic group.

My current job: I worked as an Administrative Officer in a website development company originally based in Hawaii and now operating in the Philippines.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me 2 years since I've enrolled in another course which is a vocational course.

About SLU: The Professors are very professional. They are highly qualified.

The facilities are complete, advance and modern to match the demands of today's generation.

During my 10 year career in a telecommunications company, I have found out in my trainings that one of Philippines best crop of students when it comes to communications come from SLU. Not only that they are highly skilled, they are also highly adept when it comes to communication. One factor that contributes to this is that, Baguio residents are basically english based.

During my time, and until now, SLU Baguio is one favorite choice of foreign students to study at. They will have no problems when it comes to communication and security.

My current job: After working in the telecommunications industry for more than 15 years, I've opted for an early retirement last 2008. And since then, my family moved to Bangkok, Thailand. We come home regularly especially on holidays like Christmas and New Year.

Since I retired, I have been working as an online professional. I do a lot of virtual assistant work, blogging, ghostwriting, profile making to many CEOs abroad, social media marketing work, clerical and office work, video making, presentations, researh and so many more.

How long did it take to find a job: I graduated October 1998. I got a job in Ortigas Center November 1998. Less than a month.

My younger sister who finished Electronics and Communications Engineering in SLU, already had an Engineering post (Satellite Engineer with ABS-CBN Mother Ignacia) right before she took the board exams. She graduated 1996 and she began to work with ABS CBN on that same year.

Why did I choose this school: The admission there is very easy and they accommodate students and freshmen well. They work like professionals and the campus is nice too.

About SLU: The ambiance there is too good to be true. Wide area, refreshing breeze of the wind, open area for lots of activities and the professors are fun to talk with. It gives me the excitement to go to school everyday and study at ease.

My current job: I am Waiter/ Counter in a Classy restaurant.
I assist the customers, and I serve them the food and at the counter I make the bills and receipts.

How long did it take to find a job: It took me just a Week. They called me immediately after graduation because before I graduate I applied already.

Why did I choose this school: Quality service, good quality education at a cheap price.

About SLU: The professors are great. They are really smart, approachable, assists students who are in trouble and they taught as well. The ambiance is good, everything is fine in SLU, I actually liked hanging out with my friend inside the University.

They have poor facilities, when you needed some materials for school purposes they cannot provide it sometimes, and sometimes when they provide it the materials are already old and too worked out.

My current job: I did not apply yet, because I decided to take up a second course.

Why did I choose this school: Because of it's credibility and accessibility.

About SLU: The atmosphere is very student-friendly and suited for learning.

The professors are very competitive and knowledgeable that they really know what they’re doing, enabling students to learn properly and have them as inspiration even after graduation.

The facilities are not that updated, but are very functional, which are just right for the students to learn every single thing needed in order for them to be prepared when facing up their careers.

How long did it take to find a job: I was hired two months after the graduation.

Why did I choose this school: I chose this school because mass communication in this school takes up the general field and doesn’t focus on one major, for short, I want to learn and experience different fields of mass communication in order for me to choose what exact career I want for my life.

About SLU: The atmosphere was just fine, it has a peaceful environment which is very capable for students to learn and do different activities

The professors, most were strict, and are very high-standard because they want to make sure that every student that they are handling gets to learn properly the path of their course.

The facilities – I will say that the facilities were old, and the equipment are outdated but still those are the equipment that help students to achieve successful goals in their careers.

My current job: Currently a free lance photographer.
Companies or private people call me to work for them. I do what a photographer does taking professional pictures and record videos if needed.

How long did it take to find a job: For my first job; about seven months or so.

Why did I choose this school: It is one of the best universities in the city.

About SLU: The professors I think are very well capable and effective mentors. The atmosphere in our University is also good but as to facilities during my time, I can rate them as 2 out of 5 since the computers used during our Computer Subjects were so bad and so slow.

About SLU: I am very proud of this school because we are one of the top ranking Nursing Schools in the entire Philippines and we are the only independent nursing school in the Philippines so basically we make our own policies so the Commission on Higher Education doesn't need to provide the rules. About SLU: My school is fine. It is located in Baguio City so our campus in surrounded by tall trees and the climate is good it helped us to enjoy studying in the campus because of the fresh air far from pollution.

How long did it take to find a job: Actually, I have a part time job when I was studying in college. I work as barista at Gloria Jeans cafe and until now even I graduated already I'm still working with this company because I really love my job and my co-workers.

Why did I choose this school: Because the education here is excellent and the tuition fee is cheap too. The school also is only a walking distance os I cannot be late on any of my classes.

About SLU: The atmosphere is great, it's cold here in baguio city and the place is stress free. I also enjoy my everyday activity here and I can socialize better with my friends. The place is kind of old and the facilities are not up to date but overall I Like Studying here in our university. It is exciting here, you will really enjoy studying here and the tuition is not that bad. So I can recommend this to all freshmen if they want to have an Enjoying College Life. This is definitely the Best University for Students anywhere.

The atmosphere is very conducive for learning considering the climate in Baguio. The facilities are safe since it survived the killer earthquake in 1991. It Boast its 7 story library.

About SLU: Christianity can be felt in every corner of the school. Very peaceful here and students here are like angels whenever the class begins.
The professors follow the school rules strictly. Lessons are given at the right weekly curriculum and the time table is strictly followed.
The facilities are always in good condition. Never been left behind by the maintenance division of our school.

We don't have air-conditioned rooms because it is already cold in Baguio.

We have computers, and other facilities that are needed by our department and other departments and schools. We also have free Wi-Fi connection and the library is excellent

There are also places to rest and socialize such as the amphitheater, the canteens, the oval and the gardens. On the other hand, library and internet is provided for those who want to study.
