A. Academic Scholarship Program

1. High School Valedictorians and Salutatorians

Recognized high school with at least fifty graduates can avail of FREE Registration, Basic Miscellaneous, Laboratory fees (for 1 Lab. Subject per semester) and Tuition fee based on the subjects prescribed in the curriculum they are enrolled for one school year excluding summer.

2. First, Second & Third Honorable Mention

Recognized high school with an average grade of not less than 90% with at least one hundred graduates can avail of the following discounts on Registration, Miscellaneous, Laboratory fees (for 1 Lab. Subject per semester) and tuition fees based on the subjects prescribed in the curriculum he/she is enrolled for one school year excluding summer.

First Honorable Mention - 50% Discount
Second Honorable Mention - 35% Discount
Third Honorable Mention - 25% Discount

3. Top 10 graduates of the WNU Integrated School (High School Level)

Can avail of the following discounts on Registration, Basic Miscellaneous, Laboratory Fees (for 1 Lab. Subject per semester) and Tuition Fees based on the subjects prescribed in the curriculum he/she is enrolled for one school year excluding summer:

Valedictorian and Salutatorian - 100% Discount
Third to Fifth in Rank - 80% Discount
Sixth to Tenth in Rank - 50% Discount

4. Institutional Scholar

Student who obtained an average grade of 1.5 (95%) better with no grade lower than 3.0 (80%) in any subject during the preceding semester, provided the subjects and units taken are those prescribed in the curriculum he had enrolled in can avail of FREE Tuition, Registration, Miscellaneous and Laboratory fees (for 1 Lab. Subject) for one semester.

5. College Scholar

Student who obtained an average grade of 1.9 (91%) or better but lower than 1.5 (95%) with no grade lover than 3.0 (80%) in any subject during the preceding semester, provided the subjects and units taken are those prescribed in the curriculum he had enrolled in can avail of 50%) scholarship on Tuition, Registration, Miscellaneous fees for one semester.

B. College of Engineering Scholarship

The College of Engineering Scholar can avail of Free Registration, Miscellaneous, and Tuition fees as provided according to the subjects and units prescribed in the curriculum.

An Engineering Student is qualified to be a Scholar if he/she meets the following criteria:

1. He/ she must not have failed/dropped in any subject since first year.

2. He/ she must belong to the top two of his/her year level.

3. He/she must be a regular student or has taken at most one subject in advance.

4. He/she must have a grade of 2.5 (85%) or better for the preceding semester.

5. He/she must keep and maintain a high level of moral character and must not be subject to any proven complaints involving disciplinary action or moral turpitude on pain of losing the privileges and status.

C. Children of Faculty and Staff Scholarship Grant

The grant is from kindergarten to one Baccalaureate Degree only. The grantee must be unmarried, not be more than 21 years old, and totally dependent upon the parent who is a member of the faculty and staff of WNU for support. For wards taking up Maritime courses, he/she must not exceed 23 years old at the time of completion of the academic or OJT program as prescribed by the curriculum.

Continued enjoyment of benefits by said children either in the elementary, high school, or college in case of death, retirement or permanent incapacity to work of teaching and/or non-teaching personnel. In this case, such benefits shall be enjoyed by the children only until they graduate in the designated level or finish the course they were enrolled in at the time of death, retirement or permanent incapacitation of the parent.

Benefits:

1. Free tuition and sixty five percent (65%) discount on miscellaneous fees for unmarried, legitimate, legally adopted and recognized natural children of permanent full-time teaching and non-teaching personnel.

2. Fifty percent (50%) discount on tuition fees for similar children of part-time teachers who have rendered four (4) consecutive semesters and at least with an average of 12 unit teaching loads per semester.

3. He/she must be a regular student or has taken at most one subject in advance.

4. He/she must have a grade of 2.5 (85%) or better for the preceding semester.

5. He/she must keep and maintain a high level of moral character and must not be subject to any proven complaints involving disciplinary action or moral turpitude on pain of losing the privileges and status.

D. R.O.T.C. Scholarship

The ROTC Corps Commander can avail of FREE registration, miscellaneous, other fees, laboratories and tuition fees for a number of units prescribed in the curriculum he is enrolled for the semester/s for which he serves as Corps Commander.

Requirements:

1. Certification and Recommendation of the Commandant which is submitted to the Office of the President through the Scholarship Head.

2. The President reserves the right to approve or disapprove the recommendation of the Commandant.

3. The grantee is enjoined to keep and maintain a high level of moral character. They must not be subject to any proven complaints involving disciplinary action or moral turpitude on pain of losing the scholarship privilege and status.

E. Ministers and Ministers' Children

Uplift the economic and social condition of the families of Baptist/ Evangelical ministers providing educational opportunities for them and their children. And provide opportunity for training that will increase and strengthen involvement in activities that will promote physical and spiritual fitness among grantees.

The grantee shall enjoy FREE registration, Basic miscellaneous fees, and 18 units on tuition fees per semester in the curriculum he/she enrolled in. The scholarship is good only for one degree-course and within the prescribed number of years that the degree /course is to be completed. This is good only for one child member of a minister's family.

Qualifications:

1. Only legitimate children of Evangelical/ Baptist Ministers, who are active in the work of the ministry and acknowledged Ministers/Workers of the church at the time of application are qualified recipients of the scholarship.

2. The applicant is financially in need of the assistance.

3. The applicant must have the desire to improve his/her academic qualification and show interest to study.

4. The applicant must have a high school average of not lower than 85% if a college entrant or it's equivalent if a continuing college student.

5. The applicant must be a Filipino citizen.

The following procedure should be observed by the applicant for the screening and selection:

1. Submission of Student Information Sheet

2. Submission of authenticated Birth Certificate

3. Take and pass the Qualifying Exams

4. Interview with the Committee

The Campus Ministry Coordinator in coordination with the Scholarship Head should serve as the Screening Committee. Results of selection and screening process shall be published in the Scholarship Office at least two weeks before the opening of classes.

Duties / Responsibilities :

1. Grantees are expected to live exemplary lives in and outside the campus. They should act as model for exemplary behavior to all other students.

2. They are required to participate in worthwhile activities that would contribute to achieving Scripture-based Christian living as set forth in II Tim 2:15. They should be involved in activities designed to promote good moral, spiritual, social vales and intellectual development (e.g. Being active during Christ Emphasis Month, taking part in Bible Classes and in the act of spreading the gospel within the campus, etc.)

3. They should be willing and ready to render service to the school when so required, such as acting as information guides during enrollment period, and the like.

4. They must render office work at the Campus Ministry Office or any other office work at the Campus Ministry Office or any other offices in the institution at least twenty (20) hours per week.

5. They are required to actively participate in all activities of the Campus Ministry such as meetings, fellowships, Christ Emphasis Month activities among others but should avoid getting involved in school politics as the same will hamper involvement in the activities of the Campus Ministry.

F. Cultural Scholarship Assistance

Extending scholarships to outstanding students who artistically talented as form of music, dance, drama and financially incapable to pursue higher education.

Grantees are classified according to abilities with corresponding privileges and benefits.

Requirements :

1. Bio-data indicating previous cultural experiences/ training (if any)

2. Written parental consent

3. ITR or Certificate of Tax Exemption of parents

4. Display of cultural talent

5. Passes physical examination

6. Interview

7. Statement of Commitment

8. Contract (upon admission, renewable every semester)

9. Other requirements as the CAC may impose upon the applicant

Maintenance and Retention :

1. Passing grades in all subjects.

2. Submission of grades to the scholarship Head duly noted by the CAC Director before the enrollment of the next semester.

3. Failure/dropped in one subject as provided will place grantee "On Probation". Continued failing marks in the following semester will mean loss of scholarship.

4. Deficiency in 1/3 or more of the academic load in a semester or term will result to loss of scholarship.

5. Grantee's subject load will be correspondingly reduced in accordance with the Retention Policy of the school.

6. Failure to settle accounts of excess units and other fees will be a valid ground for disqualification in the succeeding semester.

7. Grantees are enjoined to keep and maintain a high level of moral character. They must not be subject to any proven complaints involving disciplinary action or moral turpitude on pain of losing the scholarship privileges and status.
