Course description:
The BSc Psychology Program is designed to provide students with a Biopsychosocial Model in the study human behaviour. This holistic approach gives students the unique perspective of analysing, interpreting and exploring the dynamics of human behaviour utilizing concepts in the areas of biology (neuro-anatomy), psychology and sociology. The Department of Psychology is a progressive curriculum and research program that offers students the distinct and innovative/ dynamic opportunity to excel in the practice of psychology in the fields of industrial/organizational, educational and clinical settings. Program Intended Learning Outcomes In taking part in the programme, students are expected to achieve a holistic view of human behavior embodied in the Biopsychosocial Model of Psychology. As such upon completion, students will understand the dynamics of human behavior in the diverse setting set by the different fields of Industrial/Organizational, Educational and Clinical Psychology.

Admission Requirements - Freshmen:
Applicants to the University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test (USTET) for college are required to:
1. Accomplish an application form.
2. Submit the following together with the accomplished application form:
• Clear photocopy of birth certificate;
• Two (2) 2″ x 2″ recent identical pictures with printed name and signature at the back;
• . Pay the application fee.
The admission of freshmen applicants into the University of Santo Tomas is based on the following:
1. Performance in the Entrance Examination administered by the Testing Center;
2. Quotas and other requirements by the specific course/college units set up by the respective offices of the deans;
3. Satisfactory performance in high school;
4. Interviews, which are conducted by some colleges/units.
Upon being informed of his/her eligibility for admission, the applicant must submit the following credentials to the Dean’s Office of the college he/she has been admitted to within the submission period:
1. Original Form 138 (Report Card);
2. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the principal, guidance counselor, or parish priest/pastor.
• Falsification of such documents constitutes grounds for disqualification.
Admission Requirements - Transferees:
Transferee must submit the following to the Dean’s Office of the faculty/college/institute where the program of choice is offered:
1. A Letter of Intent addressed to the Dean of the faculty/college/institute where the program is offered;
2. Submission of the original certification for passing is required.
3. Clear photocopy of duly certified transcript of records; and
4. Certificate of Good Moral Character coming from the Dean and the Head of the Office for Student Affairs of the school/college/university of origin.
Admission Requirements - Foreign Students:
A foreign student who qualifies for admission must present/submit the following to the Office of the Registrar:
1. Student Visa secured from the Philippine Foreign Service Post in the country of origin or legal residence.
2. Five (5) copies of the Student’s Personal History Statement (PHS) duly signed by him/her, all in English, his/her personal seal, if any, and containing among others, his/her left and right thumb- prints and a 2”x2” photograph on plain white background taken not more than six months prior to submission.
3. Transcript of Records/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence.
4. A notarized Affidavit of Support including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover expenses for the student’s accommodation and subsistence, as well as school dues and other incidental expenses.
5. Photocopy of data page of the student’s passport showing date and place of birth, and birth certificate or it's equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post.
Admission Requirements - Second Coursers:
1. Letter addressed to the Dean expressing the intention to apply for a second degree and indicating the program of interest;
2. Certified true copy of his/her transcript of records;
3. Two (2) recommendation letters coming from any of the following:
• Dean of the previous school
• Professor of the previous school
• Office of Student Affairs of the previous school
• Present employer as the case may be.
1. Submit to UST Graduate School the following documents:
• a photocopy (but duly certified true) of latest Transcript of Records.
• one (1) colored passport size, recent photo.
• (if any) document (s) attesting to passing a Bar/Board Exam, or being a scholar of any agency.
2. Secure upon submission of the aforementioned documents the following forms:
• Application Form
• Two (2) Referral Forms: One (1) for current (immediate) superior (or Dean, in the case of a school); and the other, for professor in one specialization (major) subject.
• Accomplish the Personal Data Sheet
3. Submit to the Graduate School Dean's Office the duly accomplished
• Application form
• Referral Forms (2 sets)
• Personal Data Sheet.
4. After a week, inquire about the decision of the Dean from the Graduate School Office of the Dean.
