Scholarships at TIP Manila

A. Engr. Demetrio A. Quirino, Jr

Scholarship Grants for Engineering & Architecture available only at TIP: Four (4) scholars in each of the following academic programs: ChE, CE, EE, ECE, ME, SE, ARCH, MarE, MarT. Total No. Of Grantees: 36

1. Qualifications: The high school graduate must:

- Belong to the TOP 20 graduates of his batch as attested by the Principal; or

- Possess a General Average of at least 85% in fourth year high school with no grade of below 83% in any subject;

- Have not taken any course in college prior to the examination.

2. Benefits and Allowance: The scholar shall be entitled to the following benefits and allowances:

- No fees throughout the duration of his program of study•

- Semestral stipend of P15000.00 throughout his program of study• •

- One-time free two (2) sets of school uniforms and one (1) set of PE uniform

- Free use of textbooks

3. Application Requirements for Scholarship Grants

- Form 138 (High School Card) or Certified Copy of Grades

- Certification from the HS Principal attesting that the applicant belongs to the TOP 20 graduates of the batch

- 2 Copies of 2'x2' ID Picture

1. Grants for Valedictorians Enrolling in Programs Requiring Board Exams

- Free tuition and basic miscellaneous fees throughout the course•

- Free use of textbooks

2. Grants for Salutatorians Enroling in Programs Requiring Board Exams

- Free tuition and basic miscellaneous fees throughout the course•

3. Grants for Valedictorians Enroling in Programs Not Requiring Board Exams

6. Partial Scholarship Grants for Entering Freshmen

- 90% or above with no grade in any subject below 88% - Free tuition and basic miscellaneous fees for one (1) semester

- At least 88% or above with no grade in any subject below 85% - Free tuition fee for one (1) semester

- At least 85% with no grade in any subject below 83% - 75% Discount on Tuition Fee for one (1) semester

- At least 83% with no grade in any subject below 81% - 50% Discount on Tuition Fee for one (1) semester

7. Partial Scholarship Grants for Transferees of Equivalent Program• • •

9. Grants for Students Assistants

A. Regular Students Assistants

- Free tuition and basic miscellaneous fees

- Hourly allowance

- The SA loses his privilege if he fails to maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.50 every semester or if he commits any infraction of the General Rules of Conduct and Discipline

- The SA should not be a recipient of any other scholarship or financial assistance from TIP.

• Requirement to Maintain the Scholarship Grants

In order for the scholar to continue to enjoy the benifits of the scholarship, he shall maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 1.75 with no grade in any subject below 2.25 every semester during the period of his scholarship. Further, he shall lose his scholarship if he commits any infraction of the General Rules of Conduct and Discipline.
