◈ Studied BS in Pharmacy
◈ At PWU Manila
◈ Graduated 2011

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Even though I live far from Manila, I chose PWU because of the quality education it offers at an affordable price. Unlike other schools that offer Pharmacy, PWU has only 2 sections per year level. It means that the student to teacher ratio is low. The professors will be able to teach easier because there are fewer students.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: PWU has now modernized it's facilities. From the basketball court, the paseo, swimming pool, activity areas, and classrooms, they renovated almost all of the facilities to keep up with the modern times. They installed Wi-Fi all over the campus. They added more computer laboratories so that more students can be accommodated. The classrooms are air-conditioned, except for some that are still being repaired.

list bulletMy current job: I am a clinical pharmacist at Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City.
I review the medication history of a patient and make an appropriate plan of action that will be presented to the physician on duty.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took me over a year to find a job because I took the board exam for the second time.

◈ Studied Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts
◈ At PWU Manila
◈ Graduated 2005

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: The moment I stepped into the university I felt at home. It felt like the right place to be, especially when I saw the bookstore. I was amazed even if everything was not too modern at the time. The fact that there is no shortage of transportation going elsewhere also made me happy to transfer to this school. The atmosphere was very open and there were big trees inside the school grounds so I loved it.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: Ambiance:
Today the school is very modern as compared to before. But of course there are still places that haven't been modernized which some students abuse and use for other purposes.

I love the libraries. That will always be the best place to be in that university. :)

The professors/instructors:
They were well educated and experts in their fields. It was just sad because during my time, some of the best teachers for the major subjects left one after the other for greener pastures. And some professors for certain subjects also kept changing every year so at times it felt like there was no continuity.

list bulletMy current job: I do freelance graphic design now but I used to work in an ad agency.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: 5 months because I took a break after graduation before looking for a job.

◈ Studied BS in Pharmacy

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: PWU offers Pharmacy at a more affordable price. Also, it is near our house.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: The ambiance - PWU has been around for over 90 years. It is evident in the building itself. Some parts of the campus has not been renovated yet. It feels like you are in the Metropolitan Theater- old and rustic.

The professors are highly educated. I had a P.E. Teacher who is a masteral graduate.

The facilities - PWU is continuing to upgrade it's facilities. They are adding more computers, air-conditioning unit to each classroom, making the whole campus a WI-FI hotspot. They renovated the paseo and added more tables and chairs so that students can study and rest there.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Staff Pharmacist at St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City. I am in charge of the organization of documents in the pharmacy department.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Almost 6 months, I took a vacation after the exams.

◈ Studied BS in Pharmacy
◈ At PWU Manila
◈ Graduated 2011

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose PWU because of the influence of my high school friend who's very dear to me.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: Ambiance - first thing came to my mind was OLD. The building itself is very old and I felt like I was in a museum for it has very large paintings of the owner.

Professors - there were great professors who were very passionate about teaching, there are also professors who were teaching very lame. Some, I can't understand because they were very old and one is an Ambassadress.

Facilities - all I can say is everything is not enough, except for the library where I used to go all the time.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Regulatory Affairs Assistant dealing in drug registration at FDA.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I've found a job after 5 months, because I wanted to relax first and think deeply what kind of job I will take. When I started applying for a job, after 2 weeks I got in.

◈ Studied BS in Pharmacy
◈ At PWU Manila
◈ Graduated 2011

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose PWU because I believed in it's capacity to provide high quality education for us to be competitive in our chosen field.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: Ambiance - It feels like you are in a old building facility because the school building itself has not been renovated for many years. But when I went back to PWU last month, a lot of changes has been done. The school looks more modern and sophisticated.

The professors in PWU were very competent. They were knowledgeable of the subject they are teaching.

Facilities - The computers were not enough. Not all the rooms were air-conditioned. There were two libraries in PWU, the main library and the science library. Those libraries were well equipped with the latest books as well as books from the past. There were places to rest and socialize like the paseo in the ground floor. The library and the paseo are the places in which students choose to study.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Registered Pharmacist and an Online Medical Researcher.
I research the cause, symptoms, treatment of diseases.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I found a job 5 months after graduation.

list bulletAbout PWU Manila: Our school isn't like the others with superb facilities.
