Scholarships at MATS College of Technology

A. The Senforiano B. Alterado (SBA) Scholarship Special Scholarship grant to any High School students who has not entered college is qualified to take the SBA scholarship examination. Successful examinees are categorize into:

1. Full scholarship or 100% free tuition fee

2. Semi-full scholarship or free tuition fee

3. Half scholarship or 50% free tuition fee

B. Kabataan ng Davao Association of Scholars

1. Recommendation of leaders, patrons, barangay captain

2. Certificate of low income

3. Residence certificate

4. Must maintain a general average of 85% with no grad lower than 80%

5. Income Tax Return

The grants good for the duration of chosen course of an academic scholar as following provisions:

1. A full academic scholar should maintain a general average a 95% or 1.5 and up with no grade lower than 90% or (0.2)

2. A semi-full academic scholar shall maintain a general average of 85% or 2.5 and wit no grade lower than 90% (0.2)

3. A half academic scholar should maintain a general average of 85% or 2.5 and no grade lower than 82% (0.2)

4. Every scholar shall take the full academic loads every semester.

5. Every scholar must not finish a semester with an incomplete or failing grade.

6. A full scholar who fails to maintain a standard rating must be demoted to any of the three lower ranks that qualify him/her in the same manner a scholars who excel in his standard rating shall be promoted to any of the higher levels of scholarship. However, any of the scholars who gets a grade lower than 80% or 3.0 can never regain his scholarship.

2. High School Valedictorian and Salutatorian (to be qualified for this, applicant must be graduate of recognize secondary school in class of 5 and above

3. Requirements: Certification of Principal Picture of awarding

E. Private Scholars

1. College Assurance Plan (CAP)

2. Other private scholarship plan

All scholars has to pay their miscellaneous fees and other school obligations. A student should apply to the Office of the committee on awards duly authenticated to the Registrar, Dean of Academic and Head of Student Services before scholarship is granted. A students applying for scholarship on the current semester will take on the next semester.
