Scholarships at Manila Central University:

1. College Entrance Scholarship

The University grants scholarship in the form of full or partial exemption from payment of tuition fees to valedictorians and salutatorians of recognized private, public, or vocational schools provided that the principal or head of the school certificates that the said student graduated from a class of not less than 50 students.

2. Filemon D. Tanchoco (FDT) Scholarships

Full Scholarship consisting of free tuition fee for one semester is granted to a regular college student who obtains a general weighed average of not less than 1.25 with no grade lower than 1.75.

Partial Scholarship consisting of 50% discount on tuition fee for one semester is granted to regular collegiate student who obtained a general weighed average of 1.75 with no grades lower than 2.00.

Note: To qualify for an MCU-FDT scholarship a student must submit a letter of application not later than the second week after the opening of classes.

3. Grant – in – Aid (PD 451) Full Scholarship

Free tuition fee for one semester to a regular college third and fourth year student who took the regular load during the first and second year of his or her studies provided that the student obtained a weighted of 2.5 or above.

Note: To qualify for the PD 451 a student must submit a letter of application together with subject rating taken during the last two semesters, income tax return of parents whose earnings do not exceed Php 12,000.00 per annum, certificate of participation in co-curricular activities by the dean or supervisor not later than the second week after the opening of classes.

4. Dr. Felimon D. Tanchoco Leadership Award

Given in honor of Atty. Filemon D. Tanchoco, founder of the University in recognition of the outstanding performance of a graduating student as a leader, his or her commitment to lead, and willingness to serve fellow students inside and outside the campus activities in accordance with the University mission.
