◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2008

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I originally wanted to do Nursing in UST but I didn't get the spot hence, FEU was my second choice.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: I like the ambiance because inside the campus there were a lot of trees and sorority and fraternities were not that rampant. Outside the campus is great in buying cheap items like books, gadgets accessories etc. And it is surrounded by heaps of good fast-food chains and "turo turo" and "karinderia" which serves great food at cheap price.

The instructors were fair, not everyone was perfect and effective. There were some who were just reading their power points etc. But there were also the excellent ones who were able to share us and let us understand the lessons effectively.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Registered Nurse in an Aged Care Facility in Australia.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took me a year to find a paying job related to my career after graduation.

◈ Studied AB in Mass Communication
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2013

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Becoming a part of the right university was one of my goals. I planned to take my college studies seriously and right after choosing what degree to take up, I immediately decided upon where I would study it. Far Eastern University has always been in my priority list at that time. When one of our relatives told me that my aunt graduated there, I suddenly had a feeling of belongingness. A few months before our high school graduation, representatives from Far Eastern University visited our school. They convinced us to enroll there because they are listed in the top 10 universities in the Philippines and that they offer courses that can help prepare students in the real world. I was really interested so I asked for their admission examination form. On the examination day, I was the only one in our class who took the examination.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Far Eastern University is an ideal university where you can truly feel at home. The overall ambiance was inviting. When I first stepped into the university grounds, I felt comfortable right away because the atmosphere entices. Hallways were uncluttered, buildings were artistically designed and the campus ground was filled with tall tress which gave me the impression that it's a 'nature advocate' university. These trees gave a feeling of closeness, that we are one with the university. Every time we need to have a place where we can meet up with friends or simply stay while we wait for our classes, we can just drop by our 'Freedom Park', adjacent to the university memorial square. Freedom Park has these tall trees with cemented boxes where students can sit and stay while they're waiting for their peers or classes. This is one of my favorite places inside our campus since it does not only provide shade; it also gives equal feeling of freedom for each student, as to what it's name implies.

Facilities around the university are very up to date, with computers and air-conditioned rooms that'll suit every student's needs. In our institute, we have several rooms that are based in our industry’s preferences such as a photography room, film viewing room, theater room and TV studio. Equipment per room follows the standard up to date requirements from the communication field. These help us students have our training similar to what we can expect when we face the real world. Overall, the university provides not only academic learning but hands on training that can help shape students into professionals they want to be.

Professors in Far Eastern University are shaped by our core values of Fortitude, Excellence and Uprightness. They make sure that they have mastered their fields so as to provide the correct learning that we need in the future. Some professors were strict about requirements and performance but that drives students to become better every single day. They want us to fully realize our potential by making sure we learn something before leaving the university premises. I look up to my mentors in the Department of Communication of the Institute of Arts and Sciences because they prepared us before graduating, that the main strength we have when we finally face the real world is our tenacity.

list bulletMy current job: I’m currently working as a part time Marketing Manager for a travel business. My responsibilities include handling all marketing needs of the business, from closing deals with different travel agencies, hotels and resorts to creating marketing strategies to help boost our business’ sales. Also, as the head of Marketing, I am tasked to build a brand for the business and instill to people what we can offer to them. I am also tasked to create collateral such as brochures, flyers and website. Overall, being a Marketing Manager requires a lot of skills in order to persuade and build a targeted market.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Right after graduation, I decided to take a break for 3 months since I’ve been studying for quite a long time. I tried freelance tutoring and it lasted for 2 months. Then by October of 2013, I was invited by my dad’s colleague to become a Marketing Manager for their business. I grabbed the opportunity since I saw it as a chance for me to put my skills to the test. As of today, I’m still working for them and hopefully, I’ll be able to grow professionally in the years to come.

◈ Studied BS in Accountancy
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2013

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I took college entrance exams in UP - Diliman, ADMU and La Salle - Taft. And unfortunately, I failed them all. I missed the college entrance exam for UST. My sister asked me to try taking an entrance exam in FEU. Day after that, I got a mail saying that my entrance exam results qualified for a merit scholarship in the university with Accountancy as my first choice of course if my High School Average grade is 89%. And being this lucky girl I am, my high school average was 88%; thus, not entitled to the scholarship after all. Nevertheless, this is the first university that accepted me. And, I vowed from then on, I will return the favor and make this university proud of me.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Far Eastern University may not be as big as other famous universities wherein the parks can even accommodate the outsiders. However, we have this Freedom Park wherein students used to relax and reflect on their lives. Like seriously, who would not be mesmerized by the ambiance brought by the Freedom Park? Moreover, the state-of-the-art Chapel we have inside the university is a must-see. The last time I took a glimpse of the facilities of FEU, that was the time I wished I was a student again for the air-conditioned classrooms which now have a different kind of setup for it's lectures. I wish I was sitting there again in one of those armchairs and copying notes from that glass board. The computer laboratories and the other laboratories, not to mention the newly renovated university library, were so conducive to learning. Students would more likely to be driven to study because of these improved facilities of the university.

Of course, the professors. It may sound sugarcoated if I would say that FEU has the best professors. But let me say it this way, FEU has those set of professors that would mold an individual to be the best among the best. I am not that great of a student back then; however, I must say that I am proud that I survived the jungle in FEU. Strict or lenient, approachable or not, kind or inconsiderate--it really does not matter if you are one determined student after all. All the professors are equipped with the knowledge and skills to bring out the best in a student. Regardless of the student's perception to a professor, it is assured that FEU has been hiring competent professionals to gear up a student as they prepare to battle the real world out there.

list bulletMy current job: External Auditor (Junior) in one of the Auditing Firms in Makati.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I had to take review classes after graduation. After the April 2013 graduation, I started attending review classes in Review School of Accountancy (ReSA) for 6 months. I took the Board Exam in October 2013 and passed it. I got a job a week after the release of the results.

◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2010

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose FEU because my best friend was already enrolled there. I got nowhere to go so I just followed her.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Honestly, when I entered FEU; I was so amazed with the ambiance, the trees, the grass and structures of the building. Maybe because I came from a 4 cornered building in High School with No Trees, Grass, Waiting Sheds etc. It was really relaxing actually. So I got excited and I immediately enrolled for an entrance exam.

Our Professors were all difficult to be pleased; Most of them were good in terms of discussion and they always give us a tricky examinations especially in our Major Subjects.. Can you imagine yourself answering an examination that was taken from a super thick books? Truth was, I never read all the pages of my book. So, I don't know some of the questions in our exam. Professors in FEU were so unpredictable. Even in Clinical Area, they were so strict; when it comes to grooming, equipment, projects and patient assignments. But I loved it! For I became responsible, competent and knowledgeable.

When it comes to facilities, we are equipped with enough computers for our Electronic Learning for our Nursing Skills, we have Vines Laboratory for familiarization of the hospital settings before we go for a hospital duty. All the classrooms are well ventilated and fully air-conditioned. The library is big however, I think the seats are not proportioned to the number of students. Good thing is, not all the students loves going to the library.. :)

FEU has this Pavillion for studying and relaxation area but It's always crowded. I think, they need to add more study areas for students so the students no longer need to go to Mcdo, Jollibee etc just to have a place to study and relaxed.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently a Freelance Private Duty Nurse: So I'm an overall nurse in charge of the patient. Thorough assessment, complete care and interventions are being given. I should always monitor the patient and be mindful of all the possible causes that may trigger the disease.

Being a Private Duty Nurse (PDN) is not an easy job because you will be liable if you weren't able to do your job effectively; most especially when something unexpected happened to the patient.. You should always be alert and active if you want to become a PDN..

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After Graduation, I reviewed for the Board Exam at Seamed Review and Training Center For nurses and got hired after taking the board exam as Review Assistant and Marketing Staff. So, I got a job almost right after graduation.

◈ Studied BS in Information Technology
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2007

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: The school is a little bit big, and as of now I heard that they have a problem of crowded students. The school rooms are a little bit wide but it only accommodate 30-40 students at a time. Facilities are good they have a good canteen to have a snack for a while or you can go outside the campus to have those delicious street food (affordable and looks yummy). The school is not that too strict in terms of going IN and OUT of the campus, that's why there's a lot of students who cut classes.

list bulletMy current job: I have a small business here at home which is computer rentals or a Internet Cafe. I'm also accepting computer repair service at home.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After I graduate I just went to an On The Job Training at some office and then put my own business.

◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I believe that Far Eastern University is one of the best universities in the Philippines.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: I love the ambiance in FEU. It is a place where a student can relax despite the hectic schedule of being a student. I always love walking along the corridors, the pavilion, the chapel, and the open space at the heart of the university. I had met a lot of great professors who were really very supportive and inspiring plus the high quality of education and standard of care they instill with their students.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently working as an Enrolled Nurse. My job includes assisting patients in the Activities of Daily Living (such as feeding, toileting, bathing or sponging, etc), vital signs monitoring, assisting and carrying our doctor's orders and performing other nurse related function like ECG taking and blood sugar monitoring.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Every coin has 2 sides; the good and the bad. And just like that, all the elements found in FEU were in balance of good and bad. I had awesome and not so awesome professors. The atmosphere was conducive and suffocating at the same time figuratively speaking. The facilities were impressive and unimpressive. But the one thing that I can be proud of my Alma Mater is the opportunities. There is so much room for individual growth. These opportunities helped me a lot in choosing the right field to go into for my career.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently a trainee Copywriting and Strategic Planning at Gallardo and Associates Inc.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took me 3 months to land me my first job that lasted for 3 months also. It took me 3 months again to finally land my dream job.

◈ Studied BS in Nursing
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Far Eastern University has been striving to provide its students the best, quality education they can possibly offer. The Institute of Nursing in particular has very good and high end facilities, which the students can utilize to know how to deal with certain cases in the real setting. The institute's virtual hospital serves as an excellent training ground in the practice of the various nursing care.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Nurse Analyst, and I work for Accenture. It is related to my course because I get to talk to patients and to many nurses in the United States, over the phone. I usually provide them with the necessary health teachings suitable for their case, and help foreign nurses make clinical judgments.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: All of us are aware about the crisis that the Nursing profession is currently experiencing. Nowadays, its really hard to get a job. I am currently employed, but I am not practicing my profession in the clinical setting.

◈ Studied Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Because I didn't passed USTET so it's my last resort, and it's way cheaper than UST.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: FEU is getting there when in comes to facilities, they are renovating there old classrooms/buildings and having it modernized So that students will be more comfortable when in class, especially when it comes to enrollment you don't have to wait to those long lines just to have or just to get a schedule because they are offering online enrollment where you will be the one who will choose what time/day you want your classes, is all in your hands now to choose your schedule and that's a big UP for them because I experience waiting on those lines and going to school for 3 days just to get a schedule so it's very good that they implement that. The professors are great they are friendly they try to keep the teaching light so their student will learn and also will enjoy when in classes they will motivate you so you will strive more on your studies. They are very fair on there students but some are not (no offense, I'm just being honest). FEU's atmosphere is very relaxing because of the big trees they have on the campus and it's a refreshing when you come out after your stressful classes and you will see those big green trees it's very refreshing and FEU is very clean... Very clean campus.

list bulletMy current job: None at the Moment but I am on a job hunting spree. But I'm doing freelance job right now.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: The professors of F.E.U. could be considered not only as academically competitive but also inspiring. It is evident that they work not only to earn but to pay things forward from what they have learned from their experience and respective mentors.

All the professors that I had was very down to earth and approachable even up to now that I have already graduated.

The first time that I have entered the F.E.U. grounds I knew in my heart that it was the right school for me. The physique of the university has a unique and calm aura making it conducive for learning and building future professionals.

The students and all the staff of the University are very accommodating. There is a very light feel and strong sense of security when inside the campus.

The facilities offered by the Far Eastern University are of the top line that could be seen used in the professional fields in the real world. The University have always been consistent in providing not only the best in terms of quality education but also in the facilities necessary for the attainment of holistic excellence.

list bulletMy current job: Currently I am a Freelance Events Coordinator & Marketing Consultant and do some projects like Arts Festival, Social Events and others.

I am also a Political Strategist based in Baguio City. I have handled the 2010 for Liberal Party Baguio and will be part of the 2013 Liberal Party Baguio Campaign.

Currently also, I am Law student at the Cordillera College.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Even before graduation, I already had several calls from companies who are based in Manila but I have turned down all the offers because I chose to manage our business in Baguio right after I graduated. I have also practiced and tried to apply the skills and knowledge that I have gained when I entered a family owned newspaper in La Trinidad, Benguet.

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: This school captured my heart especially during UAAP seasons. I was so glad seeing them being so competent and how their fellow tamaraws cheered for those players and participants. Win or lose you can see the sportsmanship. Aside from that, FEU is not just popular by name but by providing the society a bunch of professionals that will help the entire country to progress.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: ● FEU has too many janitors and guards. With that, the campus remains clean and safe as always. FEU seems like a garden with flowers that blossom beautifully. Except from those, FEU was known for it's art decos.

● The professors had their unique ways of teaching and all were making their students feel as if they were all their children and siblings as well. FEU has complete facilities. Computers are provided 1:1.

● The library has been renovated just this year (2014) and it made the students feel very comfortable and with ease while studying.

● There are many places to rest while inside the campus. You can rest and do team building while at the benches under the the shed of trees. You can sit at the benches near the hallways as well. Forum rooms are also available for groups.

● Places to study, except from the library itself, there are pavilions where there are chairs and tables for students comfortably.

◈ Studied BS in Architecture
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2002

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: This school has been in existence for so many decades and this has become a very good institution of learning. I chose this because of it's high quality of education while not being expensive.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: The school is situated along a main road where most of the Public Utility Jeeps pass through as part of their route. It is easier for me to commute from my residence. The campus is secured by high walls and the buildings surround the open space for the students.

The professors in my course are mostly Architects and Engineers who are all experts and have reached the stature of eminence for being excellent in their own fields.

The school is very strict in the outcome of the exams and it is not usually a policy to be giving repeat exams. It is common that those who do not pass have to repeat the subject in another semester.

The school has many students and sometimes it cannot be avoided if there are fraternities that are trying to get the attention of the others by doing some nasty things. But the rumble is not done inside but outside the campus.

list bulletMy current job: Now, I have my own construction and consulting company with my wife who is also a licensed Architect as my business partner.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Immediately after passing the Board exam I and my wife put up our own consulting and construction firm.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: The professors I had back then (2001) were very good, they point on our incapacities, and made sure we learned from it, at the same time boasts of our strengths. They were our mentors for ensuring excellence is achieve in every endeavor.

The atmosphere and the facilities were adequate that time, the open area was a good background for exercising interpersonal skills by sharing thoughts, notes and studies through a circle of students, professors. It was a good ambiance for debates, practices and feasibility studies. The facilities were large enough to accommodate the students, speakers are very audible and lightning is sufficient.

◈ Studied AB in International Studies
◈ At Far Eastern University
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Since high school my preferred university was University of Santo Tomas. I thought I was destined to be a tomasian since my sister was one. I was eager to take Education course in UST but after I failed to make it to the interview I decided to be somewhere else instead. I was led by my cousin to FEU. She practically endorsed it to me. I was skeptical at first because FEU was never a choice for me. But things changed when I saw FEU for the first time. As I entered FEU, I was astonished by it's beauty and environment. I never saw FEU as beautiful until my feet were set on it's very ground. Since then, I have fallen in love with it alongside with the great stories of my cousin about it. From her stories, I knew that FEU was not as underrated as many people see it. It is a great school with great facilities, faculty, and environment which were all very conducive for learning.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: Since my freshman year, I knew I would enjoy my stay in FEU. It is very beautiful and green. Everyone, from the professors down to the security personnel, was knowledgeable and reliable to the tasks they had at hand. Although to be honest, there are, as with every university and college, some professors and teachers who I thought were inefficient in imparting their knowledge to us, their students. Given that they have all the credentials, litany of achievements and all, sometimes I think that sharing the knowledge you have to your students is really a different case. But I didn't take it against them instead I did everything I could to catch up on my own. Besides, I know that FEU professors are really great, intelligent, and competent which is why they are given the responsibility to hone FEU students to be excellent.

In my 4 years stay in FEU, I enjoyed great facilities. The classrooms are all air-conditioned with chairs that are sturdy and classy (FEU always find the time to replace the chairs every school year), the library which is of two categories: the electronic library or e-lib is where students can use computers with free internet connection. The utilization of this service is free of charge and is included in the miscellaneous fees paid by students. They can also have any documents printed but with pay. Then there is the conventional library that has a great collection of books needed by all FEU students from whatever course, the comfort rooms are also clean and hygienic (they are always cleaned every hour of every day I suppose, because wherever comfort room I went, they are always clean). There are a lot of study areas in FEU which students can take their time to study. And mind you that those study areas are very much maintained by the FEU students to be quiet so as to show respect to every tamaraw student who are studying their lessons. As a matter of fact, in these areas I found that FEU students respect one another and value their studies very well.

FEU also has a lot of food courts. There are a total of 4 large food courts around the whole campus. My favorite is tayuman which is beside the science building. Since it is located in between the buildings where I usually have my classes in. It is convenient and the food is very affordable too. Most of the time, the students just stay wherever they please. Since FEU has a lot of benches and in addition there is a large park inside FEU known as the Freedom park or FEU Plaza. It is located in front of the FEU chapel and many FEU students choose to stay there during their free time to chat with friends or just to relax and unwind. Even my clique often choose to stay there during break times. In addition, FEU also has great event centers. It has the FEU auditorium which is very much likened to the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). Many events are held there like seminars featuring famous personalities, as well as performances of our official theater guild, the FEU theater guild and so much more. We also have the grandstand where the annual FEU concert is held. FEU also has it's clinic although, I never got the chance to test it's competency since I rarely get sick on campus but in the past one of my friends got sick and I should say that the medical personnels in the FEU clinic were prompt in responding plus they were also very warm and friendly. But my most favorite place in FEU is the FEU chapel. It is where I often find myself in times of trouble in studies, family, friends, and everything that pinned me down when I was in college. It is very light and holy and for some reason after I pray or stay in the chapel, I feel much better.

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Mass Communication is one of the good courses there.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: The ambiance is good for learning, though there were times that there are contructions ongoing during the semester.

Professors on our major subjects were professionals and experienced in the field which made it great for us since we can learn what really happens in the field. Though for some minor subjects some are not willing to teach much and their attendance is not good.

All rooms are airconditioned, the library is very strict and librarians are not that accommodating. Though we have a small park where we can also review notes without being cautious of talking.

list bulletMy current job: When I graduated I became a freelance production assistant and I assist with the preparations for a commercial shoot, assist in the shoot itself up until the editing of the scenes. Then I became a part of the BPO Industry which has nothing to do with my course except the communicating part unfortunately, but still grateful for the chance though.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: My school has been instrumental in my growth as a nurse. It has given me a lot of opportunities to hone my skills and gain knowledge related to my course. My school gave priority to provide an environment where one could learn and at the same time enjoy. It was not all cold cement and hard floors; there were a lot of trees inside the campus and plenty of places to relax while reading your lessons. list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Among all the schools along the university belt, FEU was the cheapest at that time with a good reputation as a university.

list bulletAbout Far Eastern University: FEU is a big university. The Institute of Education (the department where we belong) is situated in an old building near the Institute of Nursing. Since it was just a small department, almost everybody know each other. Our dean is within reach, the institute secretary is very approachable. I remember a few times spending time comfortably in the office just to wait for a school mate who will drop his/her subject to get his/her slot because I enrolled late.

In this university, I met different kinds of professors. There were some who challenged me as a student and there were also some although I still remember them who were never challenging at all. But I salute one really great professor who successfully did her job in mentoring us during our college years... Mam Priscilla Doctolero. She was not just an instructor to us but a friend and a mother who brought out the best in us.

list bulletMy current job: I stopped teaching for a while to take care of my kids.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After graduation, I rested for a year... Finding a teaching job was not that difficult... There were public schools and private schools to choose from.
