Why did I choose this school:
The proximity of the school was a factor, plus I was encouraged by my cousins to study there. I had friends who studied there as well. It was a private school with lesser number of students as compared to other colleges which made me realize that the administrators and professors may focus more on the students.
About EAC Cavite Campus:
Honestly, the facilities were not that conducive for learning. You would not feel that you are in a college campus because the interior structures were not properly built during those years. However I salute my professors for bringing out the best in us, and for educating us profusely amidst the difficulties that the campus had. Moreover, our Dean was tremendous. She was strict but big-hearted. Even up to now, we communicate with her and with our past professors which I treasure. Who would not want to be friends with your former terrors if I may say? :)
My current job:
As a Registered Nurse, I work in collaboration with the members of the health care team in delivering the highest quality of service to our patients.
My job focuses on the steps of the Nursing process which are Assessment, Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation. However, it does not end there. Nursing is more than theories. It involves dealing with your patients' day to day concerns, building trust, establishing rapport and effective therapeutic communication.
How long did it take to find a job:
I graduated in April 2008, took and passed the board exam in June 2008 and started as a volunteer nurse in October of the same year. In January 2009, I was hired as a Staff Nurse, and from there my position changed and escalated. So I could say that I legally had a paid job 9 months after my graduation, and 7 months after passing the board exam.
