list bulletWhy did I choose this school: De La Salle Dasmarinas was not my first choice because I grew up in Pasay and it seemed like it was too far, but life tends to redirect you and give you exactly what you need. I found the perfect course for me there. The first reason why it was not my choice became the reason why I fell in love with the school, it was far from the noise of the city, far from over pollution, far from over population and far from distractions. I found a place where I can grow as a student and yet have fun as a person.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The atmosphere is second to none! Superb environment! I remember entering the campus for the first time and as soon as I saw our oval track field, the emerald green trees and our enormous 27 hectare campus I instantly loved the place. The place was stunning and everyone was so happy, it's hot but the trees took care if that and of course there was the occasional "higad" problem that fell from the trees well that's nature! We learned to laugh at it.

The professors I had we're more than qualified, some we're practitioners in our field such as Atom Araullo, Mark Salazar and my our personal favorite Ron Gagalac. My professors are of same quality, one might even say better, with those who teach at Manila. Expect professionalism inside the classroom and yet expect to be friends with them outside. The professors are good and they really know their craft. My professors in broadcasting, editing, news writing and photography have had years of experience before entering the academe.

As a broadcast journalism student I can say that the facilities for our program is adequate but still needs improvement. We have a fully functioning radio station, 95.5 Green FM, it's licensed and can be heard over Dasmarinas city this also includes our own radio booth, broadcasting room, photography room, editing room, recording room and research room. All our rooms are air conditioned and have been recently installed with flat screen over head TVs. As for the overall facilities of the university, every college has it's own building. Our 27 hectare school has a church for those who seek some help before exams! a library, our own museum, a soccer field and an Olympic sized pool with a gym that house 3 courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. The school's buildings and location is designed to mimic the Spanish era in the Philippines, that's why everything is so scenic and enlightening. The school also has a man made lake and huge garden/park beside it which is great for study sessions and chill moments. The school still needs some work on improving some of the facilities such as newer computers and rooms but the school has shown tremendous effort in uplifting the quality of the facilities.

list bulletMy current job: I just graduted last April 30 and now I am still looking for a job.

◈ Studied AB in Broadcast Journalism
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose this university because it's near our home and the university has a very good environment. I love seeing trees since I'm not the city type of girl. I also don't have relatives in Manila that's why as an incoming first year graduate, I was scared to live alone. And of course, the name of La Salle is a big impact.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The atmosphere in DLSU-D when it comes to the location is not that good. The university is located near the Kadiwa market and before, when you pass along the market riding the jeep, you will surely put your hand on your nose because of the smell. Good thing is that there is already a hypermarket there that's why the stink of the market is already lessened. There are also a lot of bystanders outside the campus that are quite scary and I have heard several students who were "holdapped" outside the campus.

As for our professors, I find most of them really good since our brother President requires all of our professors to get and finish their master's degree. Especially in our course, almost all our professors really had experiences in media and some of them are even current media practitioners that's why we learn a lot from them such as Sir Ron Gagalac of ABS-CBN and Ms. Purple Romero of Rappler. We also had Mr. Atom Araullo and Mark Salazar who unfortunately didn't become my professors. Although we still have those professors who just sit and let us report using power points and who give the lowest grades, the best professors compensates for their weaknesses.

Lastly, for the facilities, I really love the facilities of DLSU-D except for the comfort rooms. Most of our comfort rooms have vandalism and I know it's because of the students. A lot of lavatories are also out of order that's why sometimes we experience flooding in the restrooms or even long lines in the CR.

list bulletMy current job: I am a Property consultant in a real-estate company because I want to earn and save money for my future business which is a convention center and an events and productions company.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I already have a job 2 weeks before graduation because I applied only quite early so that I can get as much opportunities. As the old saying goes, the early bird catches the worm.

◈ Studied Doctor of Medicine
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 1996

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: The school was newly established during the time. They pooled some of the best students in the country by giving scholarships to the pioneer batches. Luckily, I was one of the the chosen few.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The atmosphere was great! It was like second home. Dr. Campos, the forerunner of DLSU-Medicine, made sure that it's future doctors were well taken cared of. In front of the university lies a wide residential compound that was exclusively intended for MD students. We had exclusive movie house, swimming pool, golf course, horseback riding ground and a whole lot more, which made our journey almost a walk in the park.

The professors were all experts in the field. They were among the country's "who's who" names in the study of medicine.

list bulletMy current job: I am the chief resident of a reputable hospital in Quezon City. I also moonlight as a Psychiatrist/Consultant in a well-known medical institution in Manila. I own a self-sustaining clinic in Bulacan. I also moonlight as a physician in my mom's clinic in Oriental Mindoro.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: After graduation, I immediately reviewed for PRC licensure exam for doctors. It was only after I hurdled the board exam that I landed on a job. The duration is roughly a year of hard work.

◈ Studied BSBA in Marketing and Advertising
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2013

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: De La Salle University - Dasmariñas gave me a peaceful environment to study and hone my skills. Although it lacked the modern world diversity and stuck to traditional education, I still found the school professional in dealing with the student's future career. I suggest they update their disciplinary system into a more understanding one based on the psychological factors of a certain student.

The professors are strict when it comes to attendance and due dates. What I am really looking for in a professor is the knowledge of a practitioner and how he/she is able to teach the students real life application of the theories being taught. Though there are a few professors like these, I still find most of my subjects being based on theoretical knowledge and your overrated "memorization of definitions".

The atmosphere is great! Undoubtedly the best environment for a student to find a peaceful study area. The whole campus is based on an environmental concept, trees that looks like it's been there for about a hundred years, and tables and chairs all-over the campus to promote students to study more individually and also a group. All I can really say, DLSU-D is like a secret garden in the midst of all the pollution, noise, and mess outside.

Although many assume that DLSU-D being a provincial university, is outdated when it comes to technology, I am surprised that it's doing a heck of job keeping up with the technological advances and instilling it into their facilities and promoting it for academic use. Mostly, I am proud of the Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo, the university's library. It has been well maintained and up-to-date in both technology and traitional books. The Electronic Resource System is also being maintained quite well and systematical organized so that every student gets a chance in using the computers and it's internet services.

list bulletMy current job: I am a copywriter

◈ Studied BS in Tourism Management
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2010

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I believed that it is one of the best schools in the Philippines in terms of quality education.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: DLSU-D I think is one of the best schools in the Philippines. It definitely provides students with quality education. It has a great ambiance that is conducive for learning; professors/instructors that are competent; and complete facilities that are needed for learning.

The rooms are air-conditioned, which makes it easier for the students to focus on the discussions; a very great air-conditioned library with almost complete books and reference materials will help the students and faculty with their researches; Green Trees everywhere makes the school eco-friendly with natural breeze within the air; and a lot of Kubo Houses wherein students can take a stand-by during the periods of breaktime/spare times.

list bulletMy current job: For now, I am not employed yet.
I resigned from Banco de Oro which was my first and previous job because my workplace was quite far from our home. I also gave birth to my baby and decided to just focus my attention on him from then on.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: It took 6 months after my graduation before I get hired. I applied within June of 2010 and got the job by September already.

◈ Studied BS in Biology major in Human Biology
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: This school was close to my house so I being a home sick kind of person I felt that it would be easier and safer for me, plus I would save a ton of money on dorms and gas and food because I only had to ride the bus and after 30 minutes I would get home. My allowance was only 1,000 a week and I had to fit everything in that 1 week from photocopies and bus fair and lunch....

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: De La Salle is a great place to study! Ambiance is totally cool. Lots Nature and gardens with big fountains everywhere, lots of food places in and out of campus. It actually has everything you need as a student.

Profs are good to I guess, I mean my course was science based and I really benefited from it when I got into medicine. As for the other courses they have great buildings great facilities, lots of places to sit and study and lots of activities both academic and non academic.

list bulletMy current job: I took up medicine after Biology.
I have already graduated medicine and finished my internship and am getting ready to take the board exams. After that I plan to go into pediatrics or internal medicine residency.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I actually tried working a few months after I graduated Biology, I was employed as a company nurse for a while at a resort (they also thought us red cross stuff there so even though I was not a nurse I knew how to do CPR, swim etc...) but I decided it wasn't for me because I didn't like the feeling of having a boss hahaha. Although my boss was very nice.

◈ Studied AB in Philosophy
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2009

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Simply because it is La Salle. The name says it all, La Salle is known in the country as the top provider of students as well Academic Excellency which is my goal for a perfect University.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The ambiance – DLSU-D is more of a nature loving school. We have our own lagoon and big trees as shades.

The facilities – We had updated (if not the super high end) equipment. We have a very big and updated library. We have a chapel aside from the adoration chapel. Museum and Hotel for students under the CHIM.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently an Accounts Management Specialist at GSIS.
My position deals with problems involving the loan and premium account of a member (except housing account).

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: I studied law after I graduated from college. I was lucky because I was easily hired with the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission during my 4th year in law school and before the term of my contract expired I was employed at GSIS.

◈ Studied BS in Computer Science
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2011

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Because it is near to home, my sister insisted to study here since she is an alumni herself and she pays my tuition fee too.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The ambiance is great since the school is surrounded by trees. You can actually jog because of the oval track. Even though the walk is so long, it will not matter since you will enjoy it as if you are in a park.

The professors differ since they have different teaching strategies but I find it most of them are transparent since they don't have favoritism unlike during high school. You have to just abide with their needs, study and always listen so you will pass in the subject matter no matter how strict or kind they are.

The facilities are good and there are enough computers for everyone, knowing their very pricey tuition fee. The library is a nice place to research and I have spent most of my time there to study, doing assignments and even learning new things.
There are places to socialize, they are called "kubo" where you can relax, asking help from classmates about subjects you are having difficulty, enjoy a good conversation with friends, food trip and do other stuff too like doing thesis if you can concentrate.

list bulletMy current job: I am currently job-seeking but my past job was being a "QA Engineer". In this job, you are also known as tester. Testing has a lot of phases and even classification but on my project, I am specializing in Automation which is using a tool in order to test a certain applications. We use that tool to record the details and even program a bit using VBScript. Then we also have regression execution where you will execute the developed scripts in order to find bugs/defects upon the application.

list bulletHow long did it take to find a job: Actually, I got my first job right before I graduated on college.

◈ Studied Bachelor of Secondary Education
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2004

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: I chose De La Salle University Dasmariñas because of 3 reasons, first because of it's reputations in molding young minds, second it's nature friendly campus and third DLSU-D is known as one of premier University in Cavite.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The ambiance – DLSU-D is more of a nature friendly University. Its State of the Art Classrooms are definitely superb.

The professors / instructors- DLSU-D professors/Instructors are all witty and diligent their educational backgrounds speaks for them because the faculty members are required to have their masters and doctoral degree.

list bulletMy current job: As of now Im working as a Teacher II at Dasmariñas II Central School.
I'm teaching HEKASI 5 (Heograpiya, Kasaysayan at Sibika 5) at the same time I'm also the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) Coordinator of this school.

I teach 1st and 2nd year High School students on my 1st year of teaching. This students bring out the best of me. My experience their became my stepping stone to get a shot in public schools.

◈ Studied BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2014

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Even though we're not financially stable, in terms of location and budget wise while providing a good education, we chose De La Salle Dasma. The university, known as the Cavite's Premier University, shows that guaranteed quality education is given.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: Labelled as the green environment university, the ambiance somehow affects how students study in the university. Just like specific colors in the restaurant attracts appetite, the green color of the environment shows a refreshing and peaceful aura, which lessens the stress in studying.

Most of the professors/instructors doesn't just teach but acts as your second guardian or even a friend. They ensure that you're getting the quality education you have paid for and at the same time act as a guide and mentor. For example, integrating life experiences into the lesson doesn't just let us understand the lesson but also have a learning abut life itself.

Overall in terms of facility, classrooms are air-conditioned, adequate room space and chairs, and usage of computer and other technology providing comfort for students to study while in their specific classrooms. College buildings are built in with facilities catering to the course. For example, our building, has various kitchen facilities and an on-site hotel wherein we just dont study about hotel and restaurants but we also familiarize ourselves like an immersion into these facilities.

These facilities are almost up to date with equipment used in the hospitality industry and well kept with staffs assigned to clean and maintaining them. Living up the cultural heritage comes the Aklatang Emillio Aguinaldo which is modeled from Aguinaldo's residential house in Kawit, Cavite. The library houses collection of books and other references. Computers are placed to easily search a book you need, and if it calls for a group meeting, there are specific rooms you can rent to do a group discussion without bothering everyone in the library. It is well vented with comfortable tables and chair providing ease and relaxation to us students. There is also the Museo De La Salle which showcase the aspect of the Philippine Illustrado lifestyle. And not to forget about the Memorial Chapel of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary which was modeled after the parish church in Maragondon Cavite.

In terms of play place, The Ugnayang La Salle, housing a 3-court stadium where most university events are held. Adjacent to it is an olympic-sized pool. No school wouldn't be complete without having a place to eat. The Food Square, an al-fresco style food court offers various stalls which students can choose, though it get's crowded when it's lunch time. Lastly, a school without a relaxation spot would be hard for us students. The lake park, where students can sit by and feel the breeze to unwind. The small huts or kubos placed along the campus also serves as a place to rest. And the iconic rotunda, which hosts St. John Baptist De La Salle at the center is the perfect place for afternoon relaxation while chatting with friends.
Overall, in major aspects the university provides all the comfort and need of the students in terms balancing study, relaxation and comfort.

list bulletMy current job: I don't have a current job at the moment.
It might take a while to find a job after graduation since the competition in our field is tight because there are many individuals who are fighting for a single position.

◈ Studied BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The Professors, some are strict in the right attitude knowing that students will benefit from that. Some really explains what the lesson is all about and some just gave you the topic and you must learned it on your own.

The atmosphere, luckily Im in a catholic school and I choose to hang with good people so I can say that everything is fine and kicking around me,

I could say that they have the best facilities in the whole region, especially in our laboratory subjects, they got everything we need there. Although we are divided into groups because the laboratory instruments doesn't have enough figures for an individual student

list bulletMy current job: I am now currently working in Copylandia as a Service Engineer. I install, repair Riso machines, copiers, laminators, binders, card printers, cutters and many more.

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: My parents won't allow me to study in manila since it is my second chance, I was a drop out of Mapua.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: The ambiance is really nice, if you are fond of walking, you will enjoy this place. There are lots of trees, there is even a lake. I just don't like that we are required to wear a uniform and they are really strict about that.
My professors are really great and very liberal, most of them think outside of the box.

list bulletMy current job: I am a customer service rep for a life insurance company that deals with crazy customers everyday but hey, it's the language that feeds. I am also a Chef, I studied Culinary Arts while working.

◈ Studied BS in Mechanical Engineering
◈ At DLSU Dasma
◈ Graduated 2018

list bulletWhy did I choose this school: Because it was close to my home.

list bulletAbout DLSU Dasma: Ambiance: the environment was very natured-friendly since there are many trees around the campus and it is open and large.

Facilities: they had very small facilities for engineering laboratories. A lot of times, the air-conditioning in the classroom didn't work. During my time, there were 40 students in my class and there were only 20 computers available. Also, some of the equipments or instruments were either malfunctioned or obsolete. Honestly, the paid money for those equipments/facilities were not worth it. You are just paying your degree for it's name.

Professors: Most of the ME profs there were intimidating and not approachable. Many were not fair in grading, and uses their emotions to grade the students. The grading system was highly political and based on the closeness to the instructors.
