Scholarships at City College of Tagaytay:

College Scholarship

CCT is offering Free College Education / Scholarship Program. This was made possible through the passage of City Resolution No. 2010-017, popularly known as the “City College of Tagaytay Free College Education Ordinance” sponsored by the then City Mayor Hon. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino. In addition to this, CCT offers varied scholarship opportunities to Tagaytay residents, students from the 7th District of Cavite and other places.

Scholarship Types

• Scholarship for Legitimate Residents of Tagaytay

Offered for legitimate residents of Tagaytay City. They are entitled to free tuition and miscellaneous fees.

• DSWD Scholarship

Offered for children from chosen indigent families from the 7th District of Cavite.

• CHED “TULONG-DUNONG” Scholarship (7th District Scholars)

Offered for children from chosen indigent families from the 7th District of Cavite.

• DILG Scholarship

Offered for sons and daughters or spouse of barangay officials or SK chairpersons.

• Entrance Scholarship

Offered for Top Ten (10) students from any Secondary School.

• Academic Scholarship

Offered for College students with Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.60 or better.

• Athletes / Varsity Players Scholarship

Offered for athletes / varsity players of the College.

• Scholarship for Members of the CCT Center for Culture and Arts (CCT CCA)

Offered for members of the CCT Center for Culture and Arts (CCT CCA)

1. Accomplished scholarship application form
2. Certified true copy of Barangay Clearance
3. Certified true copy of PINK CARD
4. Voter’s ID or certificate of voter’s registration
5. Certified true copy of Grades from the school where previously enrolled (for new applicants) and Report of Grades (ROG) for old students
6. Recommendation from the Office of the Coordinator for Scholarship and Approval from the Office of the College President.

For 7th District Scholars

1. Accomplished scholarship application form
2. Certified true copy of Barangay Clearance
3. Certified true copy of the award number of DSWD
4. Certified true copy of Grades from the school where previously enrolled (for new applicants) and Report of Grades (ROG) for old students
5. Recommendation from the Office of the Coordinator for Scholarship and Approval from the Office of the College President.

For Entrance Scholars

1. Certification of the scholastic ranking from the High School Principal

For Academic Scholars

1. Certification signed by the Department Head, College Registrar and the School Dean

For DILG Scholars

1. Certified true copy of Oath of Office from DILG
2. Birth Certificate of the son or daughter of the official/ Marriage Certificate of the spouse of the official, whichever is applicable

Duration of Scholarship Grant

The duration of the scholarship grant for non-degree courses shall be according to the number of years allotted for the programs, whereas it shall be four years for bachelor’s degree courses.

The grant is renewable every semester until the grantee or scholar completes the program. In case the grantee scholar exceeds the allowable number of years to complete the program, he shall pay his matriculation fees for the succeeding year/s.

For graduates of non-degree courses, they may apply for another two years to continue with a four – year degree program if they meet the qualification standards of the Department/School.
