SCHOLARSHIPS AT CBSUA-SIPOCOT:

1. Academic Scholarship - the general weighted average (GWA) in the previous semester or academic year (for incoming College freshmen students) shall be the basis for granting this scholarship. It shall be composed of the following:

A. For Graduate Students

A.1. Entrance Scholarship

Any graduate student who finished his/her Bachelor's Degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude or Cum Laude) from CSSAC/CBSUA and other member-institutions of the Association of Colleges of Agriculture of the Philippines, Inc. (ACAP), the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) and private Higher Education Institution (HEIs) shall be granted FS-B upon enrolment in the Graduate School.

A.2 Resident Scholarship

Any graduate student, who maintains a GWA of 1.25 or better with a study load of nine (9) units per semester and six (6) units for summer term, shall be granted FS-B during the succeeding semester.

B. For Undergraduate Students

B.1 Entrance Scholarship

A student who graduated valedictorian or salutatorian in any high school, duly recognized by the government, shall be granted FS-B upon enrolment in any curricular program offered in the University.

B.2 Resident Scholarship

An undergraduate student who carried the prescribed regular load during the previous semester with no incomplete or failing grade and have not been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the University shall be granted Resident Scholarship for the next semester.

B.2.1 President's Lister

Resident scholars who obtained a GWA of 1.0 - 1.25 during the previous semester shall be granted FS-A upon enrolment for the next semester.

B.2.2 Dean's Lister

Resident scholars who obtained a GWA of 1.26 - 1.75 during the previous semester shall be granted FS-B upon enrolment during the next semester.

B.3. Top 10 College Entrance Exam Scholarship

Incoming college freshmen students who topped the College Entrance Examination shall be granted FS-B upon enrolment in any curricular program offered in CBSUA provided that they graduated from a duly recognized high school with a minimum graduate of 30 students.

B.4. Institutional Scholarship

B.4.1. CBSUA Employees

A regular employee of CBSUA who is granted a Graduate Scholarship Program in the University with a maximum study load of 9 units per semester or 6 units during the summer term shall be entitled to FS-B provided that there is a Scholarship Contract duly signed by the University President and the recipient.

B.4.2. CBSUA Employees' Children and Spouses

Children and spouses of permanent full-time employees of CBSUA who have served continuously for a period of not less than five (5) years in the University shall be granted FS-B on initial enrolment.

B.4.3. University Band Members and Majorettes

Band members and majorettes shall be entitled to FS-B upon enrolment provided that they have no incomplete or failing grade and that they have not been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the University in the preceding semester.

B.4.4. Athletes

Athletes of the University shall be entitled to FS-B provided that they have complied with the following requirements:

B.4.4.1.They have undergone a comprehensive training program duly certified by the coach/trainer and duly endorsed by the Sports Director;

b.4.4.2.They have no incomplete or failing grades in any subject in the preceding semester; and

B.4.4.3.They must not have been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulation of the University.

Athletes who won 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in any regional, national or international sports competition/athletic meet shall be granted FS-B provided that they have complied with the requirements cited in the d.1 - d.3 of the policy.

B.4.5 Staffers of the School Publication

Newly accepted staffers of the school publication shall be granted PS for one semester provided that they have no incomplete or failing grade in the preceding semester and that they have not been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the University.

After satisfactorily serving as a staffer for a minimum of one semester, they shall be entitled to FS-B for the next semester, provided that the conditions cited above are met and upon recommendation of the School publication Adviser.

B.4.6. ROTC Corps Commander and Staff

Full Scholarship - B shall be granted to the Corps Commander and staff of the ROTC Unit of the University provided that the recipient/grantee has no incomplete or failing grade in the preceding semester and that they have not been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the University.

B.4.7. Officers of the University Supreme Student Council

Officers of the USSC shall be granted FS-B provided however that the recipient/grantee has no incomplete or failing grade in the preceding semester and must not have been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the university.

B.4.8 CBSUA Cultural Groups

Newly accepted members of the various culturalgroups in the university shall be granted PS for onesemester provided that they have no incomplete or failing grade in the preceding semester and that they have not been subjected to any disciplinary action involving violation of rules and regulations of the University.

B.5 Other Scholarships

B.5.1 Scholarships provided for by the Local Government Code and other laws, which provide scholarships to needy and deserving students.

B.5.2 Scholarships sponsored by private individuals, agencies, associations or corporations provided that there is a Memorandum of Agreement duly signed by and between the sponsoring entity and the University to be represented by the respective heads.
