2. DOST (RA 7687) SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

Republic Act No. 7687, also known as the “Science and Technology Scholarship Act of 1994”, provides for scholarships to talented and deserving students whose families’ socio-economic status do not exceed the set cut-off values of certain indicators. Qualifiers must pursue priority fields of study in the basic sciences, engineering, other applied sciences, and science and mathematics teaching.

• Open to Senior High School Students only
• Specific courses only
• Any gender

Requirements

• Natural-born Filipino Citizen;
• Poor, talented and deserving student who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of certain indicators;
• incoming regular College Freshman
• member of the top five percent (5%) of the Non - STEM strand senior high school graduating class; or
• member of the STEM strand senior high school graduating class;
• Resident of the municipality for the last 4 years as attested by the barangay chairman;
• of good moral character and in good health; and
• a qualifier of the 2018 S&T Scholarship Examination

The OAS prepares and announces the names of students who will qualify for this scholarship at the start of every semester. The Registrar’s Office provides the OAS the report on the Grade Average of the students every semester.

3. Non-Academic Scholarships

The Non-Academic Scholarship Program is one of the CIT’s student assistance programs intended for deserving students who are financially unable to obtain a college education.

Non-Academic Scholar (NAS) or a working student refers to a student who works for CIT in exchange for the privilege to study thereat free of charge. There is no employer-employee relationship between the NAS and CIT.

• Open to enrolled college students only
• Any gender

Requirements

• Has at least one semester residency or a High School Graduate in CIT University.
• Application Letter addressed to the President.
• Bio data or Resume with 2x2 picture
• Latest Tax Return or Tax Exception of both parents (If deceased, must secure death certificate.
• Copy of Latest Grades with no failing remarks
• Certificate of Good Moral Character from SAO

7. Full-Payment Discount (FPD)

If the school fees are paid in full on or before the prescribed deadline in applying for discounts, the student is entitled to a 5% tuition discount.

• Full payment of School Fees on or before the prescribed period. Must be processed at the Accounting Department.

8. Student Discount Plan (SDP)

Brothers and sisters enrolled concurrently are given discounts if applied for within the prescribed period.
