Course description:
The BSIT program is focused on the acquisition of theory and technical competencies associated with the Information Technology Profession The core courses provide fundamental knowledge and application both in the information systems and in systems development.
The curriculum is designed to produce graduates ready to function in information systems positions with the competencies, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in the workplace. It forms the basis for continued career growth, life-long learning as an IT professional, or a future graduate program.
OBJECTIVES:
1. To prepare students for graduate studies and be successful practitioners in the field of information technology.
2. To enable students in acquiring a comprehensive knowledge, skills and right attitude in the field of ICT.
3. Prepare students to become IT Professionals who are experts in Software Applications, Network and Database Administrations
4. To produce IT professionals that demonstrates an understanding of the characteristics of information technology and their role within the organizations.
5. To produce IT professionals who can evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies for representing, managing, and disseminating of information as a vital resource.
6. To engage in community outreach and extension programs that will help alleviate quality of life.
7. To produce professionals who are national and/or international ICT Exam passers.
